Help With Factory Reset

I ran over my Blackberry Tour, rendering the screen unusable.
I can access the device from Desktop Manager, and I can run exe.Autoloader/factoryreset from the Windows command prompt.
However, this does not remove the Verizon phone number from the device. Verizon won't work with the phone because the screen is cracked.
What's the correct way to wipe the Verizon data from the command prompt?

Are you going to get a new device from Verizon? Once you get another device you can just dial *228, then choose option 1 to program the phone. that will move your # to the new device. Until then you can ask Verizon to suspend your number

  • Problems with Factory Reset on EPC3925

    After performing a factory reset on my router, I am unable to log into the router in order to set up or change my wireless settings.
    The default admin/password login does not work (I've tried all combinations), and I am only able to login as a guest user (blank username/password), which does not let me change any settings.
    It is also stuck on bridged mode (router page is 192.168.100.1 instead of 192.168.0,1), which I am unable to change both due to both the lack of admin account as well as the fact that the factory resets do not revert it to router/non-bridged mode.
    Any help at all on how to log in and change these settings would be very much appreciated -- thanks!

    Hi CheshireCat and Welcome to the Cisco Home Community.
    The EPC/DPC3925 is an internet service provider (ISP) supported product. In other words you need to contact your ISP or technology reseller that you purchased this from to help you with your question.
    However I did a search and found the DPC3925/EPC3925 manual that may help you: http://manual.upc.ro/pdf/epc_3925.pdf

  • Problem with factory resetting Airport Express

    I am trying to do a hard factory reset my airport express. I want to reset it to the factory default so that I can change the settings so that it connects to my comcast wirless modem. I followed the instructions on the apple support site. I held the reset button will the device was unplugged and then plugged it in while still holding the reset button. I held it until the green light flashed four times. But the stupid thing will not reset at all. Just the same blinking orange light. No green light. And of course, non identifiable on airport admin utility. This is really frustrating. Anyone know how to solve this problem.
    Thanks

    I have the exact problem described by AKAPLG. I've tried EVERYTHING with no good result.
    - My network does NOT show up in AirPort Utility (and even the old Airport Admin Utility)
    - Even after hard reset I can still see the old name of my network but am still unable to join it.
    - I've tried connecting directly with Ethernet to my MacBook Pro, but it is unclear what I'm supposed to do next, the manual doesn't mention this at all. When it's connected I do not see my AX in the AirPort Utility menu when I rescan.
    - The "Factory Reset" described by the booklet that came with the 802.11n device is inconsistent with what I see when I try it. I get a single green blink followed by a long solid yellow (sorry Amber) followed by blinking amber. I never see 4 green blinks, as described.
    This is the worst Apple experience I've ever had. Period. Any more advice please before I take this POS back to the store and trade it for a punch in the ribs or a hot stick shoved in my eye?

    Hi,
    So, you want a separate total whenever there's an 'ACT'. That's what PARTITION BY is for. You need to add the number of ACTs already encountered (which I called act_cnt) to the PARTITION BY clause that gets you the SUM.
    We can get act_cnt using the analytic functions like COUNT or SUM, but, since one analytic function can't depend on another computed inthe same query, we need to use a sub-query to compute act_cnt.
    Here's one way:
    WITH     got_act_cnt     AS
         SELECT     stat, beg_dt, end_dt, dur
         ,     COUNT (CASE WHEN stat = 'ACT' THEN 1 END)
                  OVER (ORDER BY  beg_dt)   AS act_cnt
         FROM    t
    SELECT       stat, beg_dt, end_dt, dur
    ,       SUM (CASE stat WHEN 'LOA' THEN dur ELSE 0 END)
             OVER ( PARTITION BY  stat
                     ,                act_cnt     -- ***** NEW *****
                 ORDER BY      beg_dt
               )       AS totl
    FROM      got_act_cnt
    ORDER BY  beg_dt
    ;Are 'ACT' and 'LOA' the only possible values for stat? If so, the query above can probably be simplified.

  • Help Please -Factory Reset Failed on HP Envy

    Recently my laptop touch screen suffered from extreme "ghost touches" that made the laptop basically unusable until I disabled the human interface and only used the mouse. I went to a popular computer site that walked me through numerous detailed scans and determined it was not a malware/virus issue.  So, I tried a system restore and that didn't help. Next step was a factory image reset using the recovery disks that I made upon purchase. After 3 tries the reset continues to fail. It always looks promising and gets to the "Administrator welcome" screen but then goes back to "software installation" eventually ends up at the "Restoration Incomplete" screen. When I try to save the log detail to a DVD it says there's not enough free space even though it's a blank 4.7GB disk. I took a pic of the log (attached) if that helps. On a side note during the "Software installation' process the frame blinked randomly and what appeared to be drop down menus opened randomly for split seconds in the background... none of which appeared kosher to me  - but I'm no tech expert. I do have an extended warranty and may end up having to send it in but would prefer to fix here if possible. I love this laptop and am at a total loss here - thanks for any help/advice!

  • No memory left, help me factory reset my mac air

    So checked my memory today and it says i have ~500MB free. unfortunately 100Gigs of it is being used by other and i don't understand what it is. Im ASSUMING my games (World of warcraft and League of Legends) is a fair chunk of that because none of the other categories exceed 30gigs which is (roughly) the size of WoW.
    I purchased a 1TB external not too long ago and was originally just going to keep big files on it when I'm not using them. However seeing as i only have 500MB left I would like to just put everything on my external, factory restore my mac, then just go through what i NEED/WANT on my mac and just bring it over. I would just like a little bit of help through this process as I'm not 100% sure of anything i might be overlooking. this should work right?
    Also I've never used time machine but when i plugged in my external it asked if i wanted to use time machine for it and i clicked yes because I'm assuming this is basically what I'm trying to do, back up everything on my external, but then again i have no knowledge of time machine so I'm not entirely sure if this is what i want. Is it going to just put everything on my external, then when i restore it will it just bring back everything from the external and put it on my macs internal drive? because... thats the complete opposite of what I'm trying to do.
    Anyways, I could really use some help. Big thanks in advance

    I think you may be confusing memory (RAM) with storage space.
    To see how much RAM is installed, click the Apple  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click:  About This Mac
    For storage space. Click your Apple menu  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
    Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.

  • Help with ipod reset

    Hello, I have an old Ipod and want to reset it for my little niece's new toy for Christmas.  Someone has put in a password (not me) and not a clue what it is. I followed the instructions to reset it, but it is stuck.  I have iTunes open, and the screen with the iTunes logo and the chord is on the screen.  but then nothing!!!

    First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
    If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • PLEASE HELP WITH SIMPLE RESET QUESTION!!!

    This is probably extremely simple to resolve...my Nano is not syncing with my computer any more. I thought I should try resetting it. I looked at the manual and pressed MENU and the CENTRE BUTTON at the same time and waited for the Apple logo to appear. I tried several times but it did not work!
    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG, PLEASE??

    When you restore the ipod, you need to press the menu and select (centre) button together for about 6 seconds. Try to be sure that your finger on the centre button does not touch the wheel part, and that the one on the menu button is closer to the outside edge.

  • Help with Factorial Calculations

    Hi,
    I've got the following sample code for getting the Factorial of a number. It works fine for small numbers but I need it to handle larger ones (eg 365! ). Any suggestions for how to get it to work :
    public class Fac
    public static void main(String[] args)
    int n = (whatever number I wish to put in);
    System.out.println(n + "! = " + factorial(n));
    Calculates the factorial of an integer by re-running
    through itself until it's down to 0.
    public static int factorial(int n)
    {  if (n == 0)
    return 1;
    else
    {  int result = n * factorial(n - 1);
    return result;
    Cheers
    Kat

    Factorials tend to become very large. The java datatype that stores the largest numbers is double. The maximum value a double can store is about 1.8e308, which is only sufficient to store factorials up to 170, not the ones you are talking about.
    Since doubles cannot store factorials 171 and up, a java datatype is no option, you need java objects. The most likely candidate for such large numbers will be the java.math.BigInteger class. This is what you could do :
    BigInteger value = BigInteger.ONE;
    for(int i=2; i<=n; i++)
    value = value.multiply(new BigInteger(""+i));
    System.out.println(""+n+"! = "+value.toString());
