Help with zoom in on items in a List with a TileLayout + repositioning

Hi,
I'm new to flex and I'm implementing a menu that zoom in on the hovered state.
The zoom in works fine, but I've been trying usuccesfully to reposioning the tiles on the borders, so the zoomed version of the tiles can be displayed inside of the container. Can anyone recommenda a solution or reference?

Thanks for the link, but it doesn't really answear my question.
I have a very similar implementation, but what I'm trying to do is to repositioning, for example the first element in the grid so the zoom in state dont get cut by the conteiner.
I tried changing and animating the horizontal and vertical center in the hovered state, but for some reason that produce a "jump" in all the items...
any suggestions?

Does anyone know how I can remove an item from the "open with" menu?

You could try removing the quicktime .pkg files from the receipts folder in the root library.
The system has to go somewhere to determine eligible applications it can use to open a file.
Each application would contain its base settings in its receipts file.
Once you delete the receipt you should delete the application and reinstall it.
The reinstall will write a new receipts file.
The receipts file is used by your system when it repairs disk permissions.
The system does not just add a setting.
For example if you take a .png file and click on it and look at what can open it you may get a long list.
If you choose "other" from the get info "open with" menu and have acrobat reader installed in applications, it will show as an application you can choose.
That application, however, is not in the drop down list.
If you choose acrobat reader and apply it to the file type, it will show as the default.
If you then choose another application in the list and apply, Acrobat Reader disappears from the list.
The system only shows files in the list that advertise to the system that they can read the file type.
You have a system which is populating the list with legitimate programs that are compatible with the advertised file type.
It is reading that advertisement for the quicktime application somewhere.
The configuration is written to each file individually, you can choose to have a single file associated with a particular application or have it apply to all files of that type.
Check in Spotlight for a copy of the application in another location.

How: can i get a specificated item from a list with more than 100.000 items

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to get a specific list item form a list which with more than 100000 items using C#.
I suggest you can use CAML Query with some condition and set Row Limit to specify the number of items to return.

Problem with space between rendered items in a list component

Hi,
Thanks again for taking your time to read my newbie posts. I found (and prove) over the internet that I can set some space between rendered items of a list based component using paddingTop and padding Bottom (vertical space), so I asume that I can do the same thing with paddingLeft and paddingRight. But as a matter of fact, it didn't work, why? that's what I would like to know, and how can I solve this. I would really apreciate if you help me do this.

Yeah, it is inconsistent. The renderer has to implement paddingLeft/Right.
It was done this way for performance reasons. The Spark List in Flex 4 is
more consistent.

Keeping cursor in same item where Select List with Submit is ued

I am using Select List with Submit and when I do this and redirect to same page, cursor focus goes to first item in region or page.
How to keep the cursor in same item?
Pl Help as I am not very sure to it in Java Script and i am having such items more than 50 per page.

Suppose ur select list with submit is "P1_SELECT" and the item to set focus on is "P1_MAIN".
In ur page HTML Footer, use something like:

'Find an Item' search on list with more items than view limit

Hello all
The 'Find and Item' search on a list with more items than the view limit appears to filter results according to where you are in that list. So if I search on the allitems page displaying items 1-100 I get hits from the entire list. But if I arrow
through to view items 201-300 and repeat the same search only items from 201 to the end of the list are returned
I'm assuming this is not how it should work i.e. it should always return results from the whole list. Is there a way to make that so (other than increasing the view limit to something huge so that all items are always displayed)

According to your post, my understanding is that Find an item Search box in List didn't returned any results.
The problem is due to a difference between the Content Source defined for the crawl and the default zone defined in the Alternate Access mapping.
You need to change the Alternate Access Mapping configuration.

Does anyone know if a Delivery which has 2 or more items from TO's with same Batch with same Material, packed into an HU, therefore an HU with 2 or more items, can be made a one sole item ?

How to add item to a List with a bounded wildcard

Is there a way to add a subtype instance to a List with a bounded wildcard? For example, say I have an
abstract class called Car. Then I have 2 concrete subclasses--Ford and Toyota. Now say I have another
class that contains a prepopulated list and is wildcard bounded like this: List<? extends Car> carList. I
want to add a method where I pass in a Car subtype as a parameter and then add it into this list, e.g:

carList.add(car);
Trying this, I keep getting "cannot find symbol" compilation errors. When I went back to read the Generics
tutorial by Bracha, he mentions that explicitly adding a subtype, e.g. carList.add(new Ford()), can not be
done. But here I'm adding the "upper bound" of the wildcard, i.e. the Car type. Therefore there should be no
discrepancy between supertype and subtype an thus the carList.add(car) should be ok, IMO.
Am I misunderstanding something with this logic? Also, if carList.add(car) can not be done, then how can
I go about doing something similar which will allow me to add subtypes to a "generic" list?

I get a compilation error expecting an Object instead of a Car. Of course you did. List<? super Car> is a list into which you can put cars -- and possibly other stuff. List<? extends Car> is a list out of which you can get cars (possibly of different makes).
Do you need a list that you can put cars in and get cars out? That's List<Car>
This isn't a linguistic problem you are having; this is a design problem. If you have a function that takes an argument which is a list that you can put any kind of car into and be sure of getting a car out of, it isn't reasonable to pass in a List<Ford> (because the function might put in a Chevy) or a List<Object> (but there might be motorcycles already in there). By the requirements you have, you need a List<Car> and nothing else.
Yes, you could use a cast, but all you are doing is circumventing the type system by saying "I know this List<Object> only has Cars in it."

Help with Datagroup layout , resize items

Hey everyone. I currently have a spark data group using a TiledLayout with a custom itemRenderer. The normal to hovered transition for the items in the datagroup is a scale effect , more specifically when you rollover an item , the item scales up by 10%. Everything works fine except that mechanisms in the tiledlayout causes a shifting effect between the focused item and the others. Everything in the datagroup tries to re-layout when the focused items scales up , and inversely shifts back when focus is lost. I dont want to have anything move at all , rather stay static , and ideally what i need to happen is have the focused item scale up and actually swap depths with the adjacent items so it sits at the top of display list in this case. It basically needs to overlap the adjacent items. Can anyone recommend a custom layout example , or some similiar references ? I have a feeling this is going to require a cusomt layout class , which i have no problem writing , but i suspect this is a fairly common design for image lists / grids.

Item(select list) with LOV and Report with link = changed value item

Hello,
On one page I have:
- Item 'P_name' (select list) with LOV to select name of a person;
- Items 'factory' and Report 'factory'(standard created with 'Form with Report' on the same page).
Situation:
All works fine. I selected first a LOV Item 'P_name' (say 'Jane'). But....
Only when I select a record (to change the values) from the report 'factory' then LOV Item 'P_name' become empty. Report used a link to the same page to fill the report items 'factory' and make also the LOV item empty.
Question:
I have made a process that write the name 'Jane' to table.
I see two possibilities:
- LOV Item value => fill the LOV item with 'Jane' from the table before region. Is this possible?
- Report => What is the buttonname of reportlink? I can use this name in the processes.

1) what i meant was for you to test this ridiculously huge LOV outside of htmldb, but it occurred to me last night that you could, in fact, be hitting a limit of ours. after some poking around, i have confirmed that. select list items in htmldb are currently limited to 10,000 rows. this was initially done for performance reasons, but they're now opening up the restriction. if you really need to work with that many rows where the user is allowed to pick from a set of values, consider using a popup item type instead. it'd help your app performance as well (in my test cases, it stank to have to wait for my 10k select list rows to come down to my browser).
2) sorry to not have been more clear about this, but when you set your item's "Source Type" back to "Database Column", you'd have to specify that column in the "Source or value expression" field. also, you can't put a sql query into that "Post Calculation Computation" field. as i said before, "you can take a look at the attribute-level help for that field to see implementation examples."
3) stick with "Always..." for now if you're using our auto-dml process(es)

Search for routine FORM SORTFELDER_ERMITTELN
in SAPF150D.
Put a breakpoint in statement
ASSIGN (T047F-FELDN) TO <H1>.
in above routine and debug to the point where error is occuring.
Most likely there is a mismatch in the length assigned to some field FELDN in table T047F.
In that case, simply change the T047F-LENGT field accordingly in change mode.

Join two list with condition using caml query in SharePoint 2013 with client object model

Want to join two list to get all fields from both list.
Am new to sharepoint and sharepoint 2013. Am working in sharepoint 2013 online apps. Am using context.executeQueryasync to load list and get items from list. Am able to get items from single list with caml query, but not able to get both list field values
with joins. I did lot of surfing..but not..

Hi Pariventhan,
I don't know about join but I have a workaround of this problem.
Declare one variable (itemcollection) globally. Load all the items "AssignedTasks" using context.load.
In the success method call another CAML query using <IN> tag of the ID of the items from the second list (Assuming you have look-up column of the ID of the first list to the second list).
If this is not clear to you then please let me know. If possible then I can provide code sample.

Select List with Submit Not pulling % values

Hello All,
I have a tabular form in app and displays data based on choice selected in 'select list with submit' from Item, it works fine for values chosen, when i choose '%' I want to display all the records existing in the tabular form but instead it says 'No Data Found'. How do i solve this ? Kindly advice and help.
ex:

You need to check what value is returned by select list when you select '%' in the select..
there is a field display null value as where you can enter '%' and return value of null you can enter 0
and then modify your tabular form query to
select a , b from table where a like :ITEM OR :ITEM = 0

I have a dataProvider that looks like this.
