How can I use my iPhone telephone number with iMessage on my iPad, iPod touch, or Messages for Mac?
You can link your iPhone telephone number to your Apple ID for use on your iPad, iPod touch, or Messages for Mac by signing into iMessage with your Apple ID in Settings > Messages. Then sign in to the other device with the same Apple ID in these locations:
iPad and iPod touch: sign in to iMessage in Settings > Messages.
Messages for Mac: sign in to iMessage in Messages > Preferences > Accounts.
Linking your iPhone telephone number with iMessage is not available for the iPad (1st generation) and iPod touch (3rd generation).
Follow these steps for more information or if you are experiencing difficulties linking your iPhone telephone number to your Apple ID.
If an unknown device registers with your Apple ID and you did not initiate that registration, you can reset your Apple ID password to remove it. You will then need to enter this new password on all devices using iMessage or FaceTime.

simple fix
go to settings- messages - send and receive- select the numbers and emails you want to use - deselect the ones you don't need

reset all settings
settings-general-reset-reset all settings
now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

To update your billing information, you would need to change your iTunes Store country to be able to enter the information for Switzerland. I found an article with the steps to update this:
Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

I tried to sync and upload the iOS 5.0 version to my iphone 4 all was well it was processing then it just stopped and Now my actual I phone is frozen. I have turned it off. I have rebooted it several times the I phone itself shows a CD with a music not over it and under it in small letters iTunes with an arrow pointing up wards and a picture of the small end cable on the screen . it will not move change unlock it is frozen into that position.. how do i get the useage of my phone back this is rather daunting wehn all i was trying to do was up load the most recent version upgrade of iOS.. THe phone is NOT jail broken.. all i want to do is have it return back to how it was before i started the updae version process obviously it did not take and now it is locked into plave the screen will not change.. after reboots and shut down when i turn it back on the same screeen appears the cd disc with the music note over it and the arrow pointing upwards and a picture of the small end of the charge cord that fits into the actual compute.. I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4, and my wife has an iphone. We found out that imessage wont come through from her. After we went to the AT&T helpdesk they said that she could turn off imessage on her phone and that I would get texts on my S4. But then so would everyone else who has an iphone. That won't work for everyone in my company that has an iphone. So what I am wondering is- since I recently got this phone, should I get a new number? Or should I contact ATT or contact Apple to try and get this number de-activated? I'm thinking I'll never get into the icloud account that this number is attached to, but maybe someone has some advice on that?
I just sincerely want imessage to work on this phone and I'm willing to take the steps to do that.

Either one of the two should work - getting new number from carrier or contacting Apple to revoke phone number from imessage system.
That is if your problem is described correctly.

I had thought about this, but it seems other people have already chosen the screen name "pinksharkmark" and virtually every variation of it I can think of. So that isn't an option for me. As for getting it to display something else as well, do you mean that if I were to get an AIM screen name like "CromulentCat" I could somehow log in to iChat under the AIM account "CromulentCat" yet get iChat to represent me to my Buddies as "PinkSharkMark"? Because I have to admit I don't see how that can be done. It appears as if iChat displays to anyone chatting with you precisely the account name you logged in under and nothing else. So if you logged in using a .Mac account, then you are displayed as "[email protected]" while if you logged in under an AIM account, you are displayed as "CromulentCat". But that's it that's all... there is no way to change CromulentCat to PinkSharkMark.

Any apps that are on the iPhone which were bought / downloaded via your wife's account are tied to her account - so only her account can download updates to those apps. If you remove all her apps and just put yours on then you should be ok.

Did you go on-line and fix your billing information? You probably need to do this from iTunes on your computer, not your phone.
If you've double checked your credit card info and it still won't take it, contact your card issuer.

You contact the carrier it is locked to.
Unfortunately, if it's actually a GCI phone, they do not offer unlocking.

For gmail you could try unlocking your account here: https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DisplayUnlockCaptcha. Don't know about hotmail.

If you look closely at the top of the canvas pane, as you move either of the boxes (green or red) there is an indication of pixel positions... "top, bottom, left, right," and "scale."
Admittedly, it doesn't seem as if you can "enter" the dimensions with your keyboard, however, as you move the boxes, you have a real time indication of the boxs' locations.
(I couldn't take a screen shot, as you have to actively move the box with a mouse or other input device... thus, I could not also take a screen shot with same device.)
