I am working on a web system using webdynpro for abap, but customers have high expections on the visual effects of the
web, do you have example that I can learn from ? for example, good ones of standards or anything exposed to us?

you can change the theame of the every application by passing value in application parameter .
click on you WDA application go to parameters tab
in the parameter coloum enter WDTHEMEROOT & in value coloum enter any one from the below value

save your application and execute it . the theame will change according to your value passing .

Need advice on how to make my website look better!
ive made a website for a security company but im just not 100% happy with it, i dont know if it doesnt look professional enough or things need changing design wise. i am open to any ideas on how to make my website look better, i also dont mind if anyone wants to dramtically change it if their idea is better. I would just very much appreciate a review and constructive critisism and ideas for a newly designed version of the site please!

Thanks!As a novice, some things I see: The footer has redundant, unecessary images (4 large images-for your services--REDUNDANT) odd? The text part of footer: text seems close, scrunched, have some space between heading and items, DO NOT CENTER TEXT!,
One of the service links bought to page with SAME LARGE image on homepage-change picture, don't use same large image for 2 different pages.
DO NOT use CONTACT US as 1 of 5 links on menubar. Do in another creative way, and/or use footer for contact. I think this looks amateurish (my opinion of course).
If I remember, the homepage and the rest of site, have exact same page structure.--See if you can atleast change the structure of inner pages versus the homepage.

each of your services should be a main menu link on your menubar. I would not put contact us on menubar, and you also had another menubar link with no dropdown( of course ok, but maybe could restructure)--Also your last service (on right of menubar)---why is that one different, and not included with the other services??
Seems like your menubar (items) structure could be reworked.--I would suggest, briefly looking at, to maybe have each service as a primary menu heading/title..YOU MAY NOT NEED A DROPDOWN MENU? Make sure if dropdown it is necessary.
Local security should be one of your services.
Have your footer logo, as is to left, but maybe put your footer links more to the right;;It will 'balance' the footer section
Your top logo seems too close to your main LARGE image (Which btw, seems oddly large compared to the rest of your site?)--That LARGE top image(the same palce on every same looking page), seems too big for your page--Why doen't it line up with the rest off your page content? -

IvanPlease do not double post the same question.
Just like I said before. Animate X scale and position. Set the anchor point of the left image to the left side. You can then use an expression or just generate keyframes for scale. When you flip to the next screen then animate position. Easy basic animation except for the bounce. Key framing the bounce so that it looks natural takes a lot of experience or an expression.

There is no single click solution to this problem and it is not an effect, it is an animation. -

Yes, that made the fonts larger, but I lose viewing the full windows of Safari and Mail, the edges are cut off aand I cannot restore them by click and dragging them fully open again. I appreciate the quick response, but I still have the same issue of ddistorted webpages and mail.

Firefox is my default internet. IGoogle is my home page. I have XPWindows. I recently had Firefox put in and use that as my default internet connection. When I click on a web page, it does not fill my screen - there's anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of white on each side of the web page. With my old default page, it filled the entire screen. But wenn I try to add the CAF Model in Web Dynpro and Apply the template in Component Controller, there was no input value there to be selected but only the return values. How can I make the method work?

How to make web portal visible globally
I have just begun setting up to use Profile Manager on my OS X Lion Server and am happy so far except for the fact that the URLs are not visible outside the host machine. Maybe there is something I need to do to configure the web services but I am not much of a web administrator.
Can anyone tell me if there is a trick to make the URLs for https://my_host.my_domain_name.org/mydevices and profilemanager visible from other nodes of my LAN. (I don't even need them to be visible from the world outside my LAN but if I have to, I can do that.)
I tried substituting the IP address on the LAN of the my_host.my_domain_name.org of that URL and it got as far as checking certificates and then declared that the server is not found reporting the server name in its my_host.my_domain_name.org form so I guess that I'm not having a DNS problem.
I have tried checking the box that says to allow PHP applications in the Web server admin pane of the Server application on the Lion server and that does not seem to make a difference.I dug into the DNS settings on my other server ('cause that's where we run DNS services for our LAN, not on the Lion server) and found that I had not updated the entry for the Lion server since I had last changed its name. Once I fixed that things began to work better.

How to make build in effects start automatically on slide transitions?
I believe this should be a simple answer, but it is escaping me, and 30 mins of googling for the answer hasn't led to a solution to this problem: *How do I make the first build in effect start automatically on transition to each new slide?*
I need this for a very simple presentation I'm putting together: Each slide has two lines of text; one at the top of the slide (like a question), then another on the bottom (the answer).
As I advance to each new slide, I want the question's build in effect (Scale Big, By Letter, Forward) to happen automatically. On the next click, the answer text will appear (also Scale Big, By Letter, Forward).
On the next click, it should advance to the next slide and the next question should appear with the build-in effects. And so on...
Should be simple, but it's alluding me. Thanks in advance for the help!

Go to the slide in question.
Go to the Build Inspector.
Click on Build In.
Click on "More Options" at the bottom.
Click on your first build.
Change "Start Build" to "Automatically after transition".

Because the hands stay pretty much the same, a simple invert might not work.
It might require that the highlights and shadows be inverted individually, leaving the midtones alone.
First try inverting the lightness, and try the luminance. Once of those might be sufficient. -
This is how to make your DVD look better & eliminate aliasing.
After trying several different ways on how to get the best from my AVCHD camera to an SD DVD I discovered the following worked best.
1. Import and edit as per normal
2. Export to HD 720p (DON"T share to idvd)
3. Open iDVD and import the HD 720p file directly from the saved folder (idvd will convert it to mpeg 2)
4. Burn dvd.
This way eliminates nearly all of the aliasing problems and overall quality looks much better than just "Sharing" directly to idvd.
Give it a try and let me know if your dvd quality improves.

PaulThanks Paul. I also archive my AVCHD original footage via the archive function in iMovie '09 (a great new feature, which iMovie '08 lacked).
I just purchased a plug-in for Quick Look which allows you to view the first frame of each AVCHD clip in the Finder - very useful for identifying the clips for importing to iMovie. It's called HD Quick Look and is produced by the same Western Australian company that produces VoltaicHD (Shedworx). The cost is about $8 AUD and the product can be found here:

I'm about to import and edit a wedding video shot in AVCHD format (highest quality setting). I'm still a bit unsure whether to import at the Large or Full setting, given my earlier comments about the "bad" effects. However, as I'll be burning to standard DVDs, it probably won't matter whether I use Large or Full for import - but I'll probably try exporting at 720p, as you've suggested.
I guess my main concern in using your method is that 540 has to be upscaled to 720, hence my reluctance to import at Large. But if I use Full - and any "bad" effects - it will be knocked down to 540 anyway (according to popular wisdom)! Can't win!
It will be interesting to see whether Steve Mullen has any advice on this.

I have used web photo galery to build a few sites, but always with thumbnails in a single, vertical column, within a frame that scrolls. and i have never mch liked that scrollbar.

Manually coded the CSS. Used Photoshop to optimize images, watermark them and create thumbnails.
Used Dreamweaver to insert thumbnails, full-size images and caption text.
If you want software to do the heavy lifiting for you, look at jAlbum.

I'm trying to cover up some blown out flash reflections using the clone stamp (100% opacity) on a JPG image. However, I'm only getting an ugly brown spot where the reflection is, instead of covered up pixels. What am I doing wrong?
