You have 14 days to return it even if you used it. Today is day 14. Return it today. There are so many Apple stores in NYC, you must be able to get to one.
Then, if you google pre-ordering an ipad Air and picking up in store, it seems likely to happen. I know you want the new mini, and rumor also has it that there might be ipad minis available tomorrow although the original story was that they would be availble later in November.
Back up your mini to a computer. Then reset to factory condition and return it with cable. If you still have the box, use it. Make sure you return it today.
You just must get there today. Check store hours. The Fifth Avenue store is usually open 24/7, but if I remember right, they close the night before the product launch to set it all up. (Actually, I think it's for the hype and the two weeks some wait in line for them.)

I just bought a new computer. My old computer was a 32bit system but my new one is a 64bit. I own ps cs6. My question is"will I be able to deactivate ps on my old system, and download the 64 bit version and install and activate it or do I have to buy the 64bit version in order to move forward.
Nope, you can install it on your new computer with no issues. The disc contains both the 32 and 64 bit versions.

I bought two audio books on iTunes but they will not play. My old books play without issue but the new ones do not.
Did you copy your actual iTunes content from your computer before reinstalling iTunes, or did you just copy your iTunes library which only contains the pointers to your songs / books locations ?
You might, depending upon your country and if they are still in your country's store, be able to redownload your music purchases and your ibooks via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - you will need to delete the entries from your library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' messages) before they will potentially show with the cloud icon against them in Purchased for redownloading.
Or copy them from your backup of your downloads/library and add them to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library -

The following troubleshooting steps can help get your documents to reappear on your devices.
Documents I've updated on my Mac or uploaded from iCloud.com don't appear on my iOS device
If you're using an iWork for iOS app (Pages, Numbers, or Keynote), check the iCloud system requirements and make sure that you're using the latest version of iWork. For third party apps, check the documentation that came with the app, or check with the app developer to make sure the app supports iCloud. App Store application descriptions often indicate whether the app supports iCloud.
Go to Apple () menu > System Preferences on your Mac. Click iCloud and confirm that you're signed in to iCloud and the Documents & Data checkbox is selected.
After opening your iOS app, wait a few minutes for the documents to appear. Your iOS device may not have connected to iCloud since changes were made to the document at iCloud.com or on your other devices.
Try creating a new document on your iOS device, then check again for the documents from iCloud to appear.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Documents & Data and confirm that Use Cellular Data is turned on.
Confirm that you're connected to the Internet by checking for an Edge, 3G, 4G, LTE, or Wi-Fi icon in your device's status bar. Test your connection by opening apple.com in Safari.

Bought a New Mac Book Pro last week, can I get a free upgrade to Lion?
To cut a long story short, I bought a new Mac Book Pro Last week, it is only 6 days old now, it was nearly 2 grand and comes with Snow Leopard, today on their website I saw Lion OS Advertised as 'coming soon to a mac near you' or something. I was just wondering, as I've just spent nearly 2 grand on a Mac Book last week, would I be eligible for a free upgrade to Lion when it comes out?
I think you should be as when I bought it i was never informed there was a new OS coming out soon, does anyone know the answer? Or how much it may be to upgrade? as after spending £1899 I don't want to have to pay £100+ to upgrade a month later or so.

ChrisLion won't be out until middle of next year, so you are not entitled to any upgrade. But you may be entitled to the iLife '11 software if it isn't already installed. Check the Apple website for any Up to Date offer.

Wait for 2013 Mac Mini or get a new iMac?
Mac Mini's seem a lot better value as you're not paying for the monitor and they are also a lot better to update.
The iMac doesn't allow you to update hardware yourself really.
Mac Mini's are due the update. I'm thinking to wait as the fastest processor at the cheapest price is quite important to me. Also the Mac Mini has been out for 1 year today.
I could buy an Mac Mini in the time being and take it back in 14 days if it's not to speed and then buy a iMac to see the difference myself in speed, while I'm waiting for the mac Mini. I could possibly even try both that way and maybe i'll just fall in love with the iMac and hopefully the new mac Mini will be released in the time being.
I know the Mac Mini's processor will be slower but the latest one will no doubt be an i7 which will no doubt be fast. Also worried about overheating with the mac mini.
What should I do?One way or another you are paying for the monitor whether you get a Mac mini, an iMac, a Powerbook, or a Mac Pro. The difference is can you replace the monitor and the CPU separately or do you have to replace them as a unit. I have used iMacs for years and loved them, but some months ago I switched to a Mac mini with an Apple Thunderbolt monitor. Upgradability is not the forte of any Mac short of the Mac Pro and its upgradability is almost entirely from external devices. Only Apple knows what the next iMac and Mac mini will be like, but the new new Mac Pro demonstrates what Apple's engineers are thinking of.
That said, not even the rumor sites are saying anyghing about a new Mac mini so I would not hold my breath waiting on a new one. So if you need and/or want a Mac mini, now is as probably as good a time as any to get one. My 2.6GHz i7 with a 1.1TB Fusion drive, 16GB of RAM and a 27" Tunderbolt monitor is proving to be a very good and reliable machine. Fast enough that I have never felt any speed constraints. The biggest limiting factor is probably the video, but I am not into RPG or other heavy duty game use so that is not a problem. FWIW I ended up spending roughly the same amount on the fully tricked out Mac mini with the TB monitor as a comprarably equipped iMac. I will get well financially in a few years when I buy another faster and more powerful Mac mini, or maybe even a Mac Pro if I am feeling really flush at the time.
By the way when I do upgrade I already have plans to use my current Mac mini as a "headless" file server tucked away in a closet somewhere. -
I just downloaded a book on my new ipad mini. I have tried to put it on my big ipad but to o avail. It tries to, and says it is downloading but never finishes. I can't get it on my itouch either and that is fairly new. I did get it on my computer with no problem. It is a multi media book with paintings from MOMA and some audio for some paintings. What do I have to do? I even deleted it one time to start over.
If he downloaded it on his iPad then it should have gone into the Music app - when their are audiobooks on an iPad then an Audiobooks option should appear on the More button at the bottom of the Music app. If he downloaded it on his computer's iTunes then it will have downloaded into the Books part of his iTunes library and he will need to sync it to his iPad via its Books tab (audiobooks are one-time only downloads, so he should take a backup copy of it).

Since updating to IOS 8.1 on ipad mini can't download apps from iTunes store. Apps show "waiting." Have reset to new condition with no improvement. Also turned off Wi-Fi and re-connected. Any solution? Thanks,
If you restored your iPad as new, and it still didn't help, I don't know if anything in here will help. in any event, I have posted this boilerplate of suggestions many times in the past and the suggestions in here have worked for others at one time or another. Feel free to give them a try.
1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. If you see a downloads tab in the lower right corner, then there is a download in iTunes.
4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
7. Reset your router. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. -
Hard disk in mums macbook failed, bought a new one, used sata adapter cable to format it for mac first. Connected it and have tried starting it with every possible key combination and I either get flashing question mark folder or a cursor. A disk is stuck in it so I can't boot from OSX, and yes I have tried every option of starting to try and eject disk but none work. HELP ME!
Five ways to eject a stuck CD or DVD from the optical drive
Ejecting the stuck disc can usually be done in one of the following ways:
1. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
left mouse button until the disc ejects.
2. Press the Eject button on your keyboard.
3. Click on the Eject button in the menubar.
4. Press COMMAND-E.
5. If none of the above work try this: Open the Terminal application in
your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter or paste the following:
/usr/bin/drutil eject
If this fails then try this:
Boot the computer into Single-user Mode. At the prompt enter the same command as used above. To restart the computer enter "reboot" at the prompt without quotes.
If you have a 2010 MBP or later, then you can use Internet Recovery. Start by rebooting the computer. At the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION-R keys until a Globe appears in the upper part of the screen. This process can take upwards of 15 minutes to get connected to the Apple network servers. You should eventually see the utility screen of the Recovery HD. You may now go about the process to install Mountain Lion:

Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your external hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
