Hi i have an iphone 5 the screen in broken the lock button is not working and now the phone wont charge do u think warranty will cover my phone for a replacement or no?

Depends how that happened and how long the warranty is still left .....u can replace the screen ...and does the home button work? If so then go to settings> general> accessibility >assistive touch( it has many functions like locking the screen ,screenshotting just by touching the screen

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Are you using a case to protect the iPhone? If you are try taking it off and seeing if the button works normally then.
If you don't have a case on the iPhone, try restarting or restoring the iPhone.
If that doesn't take care of it, the iPhone will need service. -

I just tried to update my iPhone 4 to 7.1 and for some strange reason the phone wouldn't update then wanted me to restore it... (Figures!) I have IMac 10.7.5 Lion I use I forgot the password and I did a few fixes from web sites, which did not work and now I can not get the computer to reboot the gray screen comes on with the apple and if a shift+c, I get a load bar and it goes half way and stops, I can get into the black screen area with the hard drive info

Warranty and support is only valid in the country of origin. The only exception being the EU where a device bought in any EU country can get warranty or service in any EU country.
Warranty is determined by device (serial number), no documentation required.
Apple does not repair devices, they replace them. For that reason, ensure the device is backed up and any pictures take with the device are copied off the device prior to going in for service. -
i updated my iphone which they gave to me with out a sim card and now the iphone is asking for a sim card to activate it what should i do i dont have the sim card?

I just updated my Ipad 2 to IOS 7, now it is asking me for a passcode. I never set a passcode on my Ipad, so how can I enter a passcode. Earlier today I upgraded my Iphone 5 to IOS 7 and it asked me to set a passcode, which now works fine on my Phone. I tried using the OIS7 passcode I use on my Iphone 5 and it did not work and now my Ipad is disabled. Both devices are on icloud and share the same apple id. The Ipad screen says slide to set up but then there is a prompt for passcode, not for setting up passcode
I called Apple Support and a supervisor helped resolve this for me on my iPad. I suggest calling them for help as this is obviously an issue with the iOS 7 update - she helped me without charge. I could be missing something in my upcoming description, so do not take this as complete - call them.
I had to update iTunes on my Mac Air to the latest version, and I had an iCloud backup from the day I updated to iOS7. Have iTunes open but do NOT connect your iPad yet. Shut down the iPad. Then press/hold the Home key on the iPad while you connect the USB from the iPad to the computer (an image of the USB cable appeared on the iPad). Follow the prompts in iTunes to restore and then backup using iCloud. When the iPad rebooted again to do the backup install, I got the same pass code issue and iTunes would not recognize the iPad without entering a pass code. I disconnected the iPad, turned it off, pressed the Home key while connecting the USB cable. When I did the restore and backup from iCloud the second time, it worked without the pass code issue occurring. -
I used assistive touch to turn off my iphone, because my lock screen button is not working, so now i cant turn it back on! What i did was, i went to assistive touch, then i held down the lock screen button to turn it off. Now i can't turn it back on.
To turn it back on when you use assistive touch, all you have to do is plug your iphone into a charger and it will power back on

Have just down loaded iTUnes 10.5.2.(11) onto MacBook Pro and now the earphone port is not working. Any suggestions. Annie H
My System Preferences>Soundoutput screen does not have the "Use audio port for" field.
Does your MBP have two separate audio ports - one for line-in and one output port? Then you wan't see that selector.
but the port has started to work again....Reason???
Perhaps there was dirt or something in the jack and the contact was bad.
(or you accidentally put the plug into the line-in jack instead into the audio-out; that happened to me once ).
