Hi I'm trying to install an HP C4180 printer as net printer through Alicegate router (Thompson technicolor). Printer works ok when connected with USB to Macbook air, but cannot be seen on the printer installation configuration. Mac OSx 10.7 (Lion)

Hi folks.
From this morning I'm trying to "see" an HP printer C4180 connected on the USB port of the wi-fi router (TIM Alicegate ADSL2 Wifi+N, manufacturer Technicolor).
I installed latest drivers and checked everything is ok and works fine until printer is connected directly with USB to my Macbook Air.
Then I connect the USB to the router and try to find the printer.
On Alice help suggest to find it by ging to system preferences, then printers, add printer with "+", select "windows" sheet. There I can see - not always in reality, but sometimes - the "workgroup" in the left column, select, "alicegate" in second column, select, and here instead of finding the printer list there is a pop up saying that "the server version you are trying to connect to is not supported".
Reading other forums, it may seem that the problem is Lion not yet supporting this kind of connection.

Log in to the Developer forum. You will find instructions on how to install the lastest beta. Your problem is the beta you have installed has expired. All of them did on October 5; you will find hundreds of threads discussing this. If you have a beta it is assumed that you will continue as a beta tester, so a simple update using iTunes will not work.
If you no longer want to be a beta tester install the GM 7.0.2 by restoring from iTunes using DFU mode.

Will not recognize the Lucid LG when connected with USB

My Dell will not recognize the Lucid LG when connected with USB. Both the computer and phone gives a split second prompt that they are connected but then goes away immediately. After reconnecting it several times however it will finally recognize the mass storage. How can I get away from the hassle of multiple re-connections before it finally recognizes that connection?

That's some helpful information about your issue samrmusso! Some recommendations that I have for you is to try a different USB port on the computer to see if it isn't an issue with that specific USB port. Are you using the cable that came with the device (recommended) or a 3rd party cable (may not support data transfering properly)? You can also try restarting both the device and computer and retest. I recently purchased Pages as it is on my ipad / iphone / ipod touch, so I thought why not have it on my Macbook air and desktop mac. I bought it on the Macbook air, but it is not showing up on my purchases, and if I go to download it on the desktop, it states it is 19.99. What am I doing wrong?

Apps installed on your iOS devices cannot run on Mac OS X. Two different operating systems.
If you want Pages on your Mac, you can purchase and download the Pages app for OS X here.
Be aware, the minimum requirement for Pages for OS X is v10.9 or later.

Cannot print with HP Laserjet 1022 when connected with USB to Time Capsule

Installed HP drivers
Connected HP 1022 (not the network printer) with USB to Time Capsule
Printer appears in "Standard" section of printers, marked with Bonjour
Correct driver is selected
When printing, printer appears to be connected. Printer queue shows the item being managed and no errors are posted. After a rather long time, the print disappears into the void. This goes for the test page too.
Connected the printer directly to my iMac with USB, no problems at all.
I would prefer to have it connected to the Time Capsule though...

Getting it to work with Windows is super-easy. You'll need to install the printer's drivers and Bonjour for Windows ( http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/windows/bonjourforwindows.html ). Install both of those, open Bonjour, select the printer, done.

Force quit Mail app. Apple logon in the menu bar select Force Quit. A dialog window will open select Mail.app and click the force quit button.
If that doesn't work hold down the power button until the system turns off. Then press it again to restart your Mac.

IPOD charges when connected with USB cord, the computer doesn't recognize

My other IPOD works fine with the cord. I tried the nano with another cord and still has the same problem. I tried resetting the nano, i've checked the usb ports...PLEASE HELP!

My notes won't sync from a google account with the macbook air, but they sync fine on the ipad air and iphone 4s??

I keep getting this message when I try to sync my notes in a google account this message keeps popping up... mail couldn't discover the account settings. My mail shows up, contacts and calendar sync fine, and notes from other emails sync fine. But this one email will NOT let me sync?????? Any suggestions?

Go to Settings>Mail Contacts Calendars
Scroll down to Mail section and find Show. Selecting something different here may solve your problem. Mine says "50 Recent Messages". You may need more.

BCA restarted Macbook Air but did not initiate Windows installer. How do I continue the installation?

I have a Macbook Air mid 2013, about 2 weeks old. I ran BCA to the point that it restarted my Macbook Air but did not then initiate the Windows installer. How do I continue the installation? The instructions and tutorials I have found assume that the installer will start automatically after the reboot.
BCA also gives the option to uninstall windows from the BCA screen when I launched it. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

When you click on Print, a new window opens. That includes a button to click for Printer Settings.

If there are no drivers for Yosemite you might be in trouble.. HP will tend not to support printers once they are EOL.
Getting it running over wireless rather than USB might be worthwhile.

Firefox, Safari, and PhotoShop each handle embedded color profiles differently. I haven't tried it myself.
