Hide address bar w/WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT

I am currently using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT to run Reports with
Developer Server. It is outputing as a PDF in IE5. It works
great. But I have a security concern. The report has to know
who the current user is to properly fill in some parameters. I
use the GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY in Forms to get the USERID and
PASSWORD. These get passed to the browser as part of the
visible URL when the report is output as a PDF in the browser.
I would like to hide the browsers address bar for these reports.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks for any suggestions in advance!

I can actually answer that! I had the same problem initially.
I spent a whole day searching both Microsoft and Adobe
documentation
and websites. I finally found the answer buried in Acrobat
Reader's
documentation.
In your Adobe folder(I don't remember exactly where) you will
find
a file called Nppdf32.dll.
Simply copy it to C:\program files\internet explorer\plugins
You should now be able to view pdf files in IE5.
FYI - Acrobat Reader 4 appears to have some sort of bug in it.
Once it is installed it will mess up IE5's ability to download by
clicking on a download link.
When you click on a link for a download it tries to start Acrobat
Reader 4 and then the download just fails.
You can work around this by right-clicking
on the link and selecting save as. But if it is a button that
you
click on to initiate a download you can't do that.
I have not been able to undo this so if you can I would recommend
using Acrobat Reader 3

  • What is the safari keyboard shortcut for "show/hide address bar"?

    I have been unable to identify the second of the two keys for the "show/hide address bar" shortcut in Safari.
    It shows the command key and then a verticle line which I can not find on my keyboard. I tried i, l, and
    1, but its none of those.
    That would be a handy shortcut for me, but it seems to use a key I don't have!

    It's ShiftCommand\ in U.S. and Canadian English. If you look at the backslash key in those layouts, there's a vertical bar above it.

  • Hide address bar from iexplorer

    hi,
    I made this code:
    String urlPath =   "http://maps.google.com/maps?q="+wdThis.wdGetContext().currentIndirizzoModificaElement().getGeocodifica();
         IWDMessageManager msgMgr = wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager();
         wdComponentAPI.getComponentInfo().findInWindows("EgonAppWinMappa");
         IWDWindow window = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createNonModalExternalWindow(urlPath);
         window.show();
         window.setWindowPosition(WDWindowPos.CENTER);
         window.setWindowSize(1000, 600);
         window.setTitle("Locazione Cliente");
         window.removeWindowFeature(WDWindowFeature.ADDRESS_BAR);
         window.removeWindowFeature(WDWindowFeature.TOOL_BAR);
         window.removeWindowFeature(WDWindowFeature.MENU_BAR);
         window.removeWindowFeature(WDWindowFeature.STATUS_BAR);
         wdContext.currentPopupNodeElement().setViewMappa(window);
    I need to hide the address bar, tool bar, menù bar etc from iexplorer 9. I use the function removeWindowFeature but it didn't work.
    Do you know a way to get what I want?
    thanks to all.

    Check PAM for your version of netweaver version to see if IE 9 is supported.

  • Ipad hide address bar safari

    I have an iPad being used in a business.  It stays open to a website in Safari.  We have people who keep using it to check their Facebook page, etc.  Is there a way for me to hide the address bar in Safari?

    You can use Guided Access to disable that portion of the screen.
    Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5509
    Also look you can consider restiction settings

  • Show/Hide Address Bar

    The shortcut is Apple-|. What is the key???

    It seems that Apple left off the Shift key function which is needed along with the command and | keys to hide and or show the Toolbar using the keyboard shortcut. Using your cursor to click on the Hide Toolbar from the View menu works even tho it only shows the Command and | keys as the keyboard shortcut. I checked on my old iMac running 10.4.11 Tiger and it shows the same two shortcut keys to hide toolbar but in fact it requires the Shift Command | keys to activate using keyboard shortcut.

  • Why the address bar disappeared?

    The address bar disappeared in Safari's web brower. I goto "view", chose either "show address bar" or "hide address bar", but couldn't solve the problem. Would any one know how to get the bar appear? Thank you!
    Apple book pro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    I came across the same problem where I can't do anything in "Customize Address bar" option window.
    If "Customize Address Bar" doesn't change anything, it's likely you have the whole toolbar hidden, such that customizing it won't make any visible difference.
    Try this: View > Show Toolbar

  • Address bar vanished! Eeep!

    Hi;
    I was using Safari, I don't know what I did but the bar where I type in addresses vanished (with the same little poof that occurs when you drag something off the dock) and now I hve no idea how to get it back.
    Help!

    I just have the little buttons for add bookmark, home, report bug etc and big space where the address field was.
    I do not have access to PB tiger,right now
    but i remember that there is a >Show Address Bar< so you do not have show /hide Address Bar in view when you go to View in Safari?
    { not in customize }

  • Lost address bar, bookmarks

    My 80-year-old father, who lives 250 miles from me, called today to tell me that Safari "went crazy" and he had to reboot. When he restarted, all his bookmarks were gone. More seriously, his address bar is gone.
    The View menu has a command, "Hide address bar." When he chooses it, it is still gone and it says "Show address bar." When he chooses it, it is still gone. He tried to restore it using the "Customize address bar" command, but the address bar is still gone.
    He is running OS X 10.4 on an iMac G5. I suggested he upgrade to 10.4.4, which he did but it did not solve the problem. He tried to install Safari 2.01 for OSX 10.4.4, but it returned an error that it could only be installed on 10.4.4, which is what he was running.
    I told him to find his system DVD and reinstall Safari. But for the future, what could cause the disappearance of the address bar? What could cause the loss of bookmarks (which he says he has suffered before)? If bookmarks are lost, can they be restored?
    Thanks for any help,
    Randal

    Let me get this straight . . . your 80-year old father is doing system upgrades and reinstalls? He sounds like one sharp character!
    I have no idea how these things got lost, but the bookmarks can be saved and restored. They're at Library/safari/bookmarks.plist. If he has a subscription to dot Mac, he can use the Backup program to back up to an Apple server (called his iDisk), or to DVD, CD, or an external drive.
    I think he could also load a "demonstration" version of Backup that would let him backup to CD or DVD, for free, from the dot Mac site at http://www.apple.com/dotmac/
    Backup files are compressed. I've not tried it, but I'd guess he could also copy the file to another file and/or CD or DVD.

  • How to Hide userid and password in the address bar

    Hello Dears
    I am using OAS 10g and calling a form from my web portal designed in ASP.Net. I pass userid and password to OAS as parameters and form is accessed but the problem is that userid and password are displayed in the address bar. How can I hide this info to secure my application.
    Note: This is a multi-user environment.
    Please guide. thanks
    Inayat Qazi

    On your reports server in the reports\conf directory there is a file called cgicmd.dat
    This file allows you to create a key that will be replaced with the entry from this file. You can put your userid and password parameters in here and thus remove them from the address line.
    Key value entries look like this in the file:
    examplekey: userid="scott/tiger@myoracleinstance" %*
    your url would then look like this:
    http://myreportsserver/servlet/rwservlet?examplekey&report=myreport.rdf&destype=cache

  • Hide menu bar, address bar; Determine client screen resolution

    Hi!
    1) Is it possible to create WDA with hidden menu bar, toolbar and address bar in the IE?
    2) Is it possible to determine resolution of client's screen? It's for smart resizing of controls.
    Thanks!

    Is there a way to Hide the Menu bar?
    The menubar is a consistent interface artifact in Mac OS X and Macs in general which never changes its location, unlike Windows which attach menubars to specific applications. If your purpose is a kiosk style web browser, there is Saft for Safari. Other web browsers have their own built-in kiosk mode for the Mac.
    If you want a menubar to be hidden for other applications, contact the software vendor who makes the software you want the menubar hidden on. Most applications depend on its existence.
    The Dock while put on the right hand side of the screen is less likely to get activated by accident, and will activate more slowly than when on the bottom of the screen if you make it unhidden and magnification off, and then automatically hide it with command-option-D keystroke.

  • I did something to hide my address bar.  How can I restore it?

    I did something to hide the web address bar at the top of the screen.  How can I restore it?

    Does the View menu include "Hide Toolbar" or "Show Toolbar?" If you select "Customize Toolbar," does the toolbar appear temporarily?

  • Can no longer hide toolbar/address bar in safari 7.0.1

    Since I own the smaller 13" macbook, I was very impressed with the full screen version of applications Apple introduced...whenever they introduced them -especially safari. I always enjoyed that I could go full screen, hide the address/toolbar, and have only the thin line of tabs at the top, being free to cmd-L whenever I wanted to use the address bar, it going away afterwards. It really freed up a lot of the screen, making me less aware of how small it is.
    I can no longer do this. When I right click on the toolbar - there use to be an option to "hide toolbar" - now there is only "customize toolbar". Under the "view" tab the option to hide the toolbar is grayed out (I still have the option when I'm not in full screen mode). Additionally, the old cmd-option-| doesn't work anymore either.
    What gives? Am I doing something wrong, or is this purposeful? If so, is there any way I can get back to the older version of Safari that had this option?
    thanks a million,
    b

    You can't hide the toolbar in full-screen mode. That's the design. Before you ask, I have nothing to do with Apple and I don't know any more than you do about its design decisions.

  • I can not delete my history and adding new bookmarks. Upgrading to later Firefox versions and/or re-installing didn't help. The address bar still shows the web addresses of old and whenever I make new bookmarks, it's always gone as if it was never made.

    I can not delete my history and adding new bookmarks.
    Upgrading to later Firefox versions and/or re-installing didn't rectify it either.
    The address bar still shows the web addresses of old and whenever I make new bookmarks, it's always gone as if it was never made.
    Also, I have noticed that every once in awhile you can not close tabs you've opened, either by pushing on the X button and/or clicking on the mouse to close it. Although closing the window and opening it again (without closing the Firefox application) seemed to rectify the problem in the short term, it's becoming quite annoying.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == the Firefox is being used

    I think I have a solution.
    First, download the add-on SQManager. This should be included with FireFox, it is really good.
    Look for the file '''moz_hosts''' in the folder '''places.sqlite'''.
    Don't delete the file, just delete the information in the file. My file has over 3600 websites, which go back years!! I did not know they were there, but I was frustrated about not being able to get rid of them. They popped up every time I used the address bar. Clearing my history would not get rid of them.
    This is where they are stored!! I found that by deleting the pesky web site from '''moz_hosts''', it does not appear in my address bar anymore!!!
    I think that if I just delete all the websites in moz_hosts....
    Wa-la...History Gone!!!
    As long as you don't delete the file, just empty it, FireFox won't know the difference. It will just keep adding websites to it until you empty it again.
    Why running "clear recent history" doesn't do this, I don't know. You are doing manually what "clear recent history" is not doing.
    Please tell me if you see any flaw in this.

  • I hid the address bar with a right click option, and cannot seem to get it back, how can I do this?

    I was watching some TV on the WB, and their player doesn't have a 'pop out' option, so I opened it in a new window, and hid the address bar with a right click-> hide option or something along those lines, and now I can't seem to get it back with the same methods, nor can I find a way to access properties or anything. All I can see are the tabs I have open and the bookmark bar.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    There are different solutions depending on kind of the problem.
    Keyboard:Alt+V,T,N
    Navigation toolbar, including address bar, should appear
    Then
    Keyboard:Alt+V,T,M
    Menu bar, including File, Edit, View, should appear
    Right-click the bookmark bar
    Click Customize... in the context menu.
    In the Customize Toolbar window which appears find the address bar (It will be shorter) amongst the buttons here.
    Drag the address bar by mouse onto the main window, where you want it to be.
