Hide components in the PLD for BOM

Hi
I have created a sales BOM and on the print layout i do not want to have the individual components displayed. I just need only the parent item to be displayed with the price
In doing this in the bill of material screen i have checked the box "hide BOM components in printout. But the issue is when i select this the BOM it will be displayed in documents with the parent item price only. Basically it does not flow to the components. So if i run a sales report for an individual item that is used in the BOM the sales amount displays as $0. which is not accurate
Is there an alternative way to achieve this. Ideally can it be modified using the PLD

Thank you for the reply. I have tried this and it does not work.
Basically as per your instrcutions this is what i have done
Create a DB field eg Field_229content Sales Order Row > Tree Type
Then create a Formula field F_229!='I'. This formula field is F_230
Then link all the fields in teh repetitve area to F_230
have i missed anything

- If use use line number, use formula field "ColSum("F_101")"

A/R invoice PLD for BOM items need to hide the unit price

Dear All,
Our customer would like to have an A/R invoice like this: if the invoice has any BOM item, the unit price of child items should be hid. That means, I need to determine, if the item is the child of its parent, hide the unit price of it. Is there any way for me to know which item is the child item in A/R invoice PLD? I cannot find a column like status of item in the table that tells me this item is a regular item and that item is the child of an item. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for your reply. The problem is, an item in the invoice might be the child item or the regular item.
e.g, we have item A and B, they the child item of C. In the invoice, the customer may order 5 item C then add 10 item A as well.
Then the invoice will like this
C    5
A    5
B    5
A    10
Then they would like to hide A 5 B 5 but display A 10 as regular item.

Hi,
When u wrote yr query at that time save yr query
Now yr query is save in "Query Manager"
Open Query Manager > select yr query
There is a button "Create Report"
Create USer Report Window is display "define yr name" and select "Base Temple"
once u save it double click and edit yr PLD....
Hope it a best way to create uer PLD

How to hide fields in Infotype 16 for Molga 28

Hi Guys,
I need to hide some fields for IT0016 for Molga 28. Earlier we have assigned different screen for this molga .But now we have assigned the standard screen to IT0016 i.e. View-3211. But when i go to node Change Screen Modifications, i m unable to find MP321100. I have checked through PA30 for chinese employee the Program is MP321100 and screen is 2000.
COuld you guide how to hide some of the fields for Chinese Molga 28 in IT0016.

I havent got the chance to check with BASIS yet....they are lil busy .....meanwhile i have created an entry in t588m with Module pool mp321100 and feature p0016. As u told i have created entry with Molga 28 and return key 28 in P0016 feature.
Could you confirm that i need to Create mP321100 or i could have done it via mp001600 as told by other guy.
And now if i go the fields are hidden except for two fields which strangely are coming "ER Notice Period" and
"EE Notice Period". I have hidden all fields still these two fields are cming any idea why?

As suggested above use CEWB or if you want to manage it via a Z program then use:
CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN
or
CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN
CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN (Use these 3 in sequence, refer to the help file on the FM)
CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE

You Can use function module CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN to process simple material BOMs.
To change BOMs, you can also use the following function modules:
CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN
CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN
CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE
You can use FM CSAP_ORD_BOM_MAINTAIN to Maintain Order BOM.

How to Copy the PLD from one database to another

i have designed the PLD for Purchase Order, i want to copy the particular PLD into another Database.
i tried to copy the PLD from one database to another through copy express.. i copied the PLD sucessfully. But the problem is,it copies all PLD's from one database to another. i want only the Purchaseorder PLD has to be copied in to another database.any body can help me in this regard.

you will get Insert scripts of A1 and A2 tables .After that You 'll Replace A1 to RDOC and A2 to RITM.
So that you can RUN this SQL srcipts any where (In any Database)
but First u have to run sp_generate_inserts Storeprocedure(from websites) .

Setting up workflow for bom change LO-ECH

Hi all,
I am trying to set up the workflow for BOM change. I have followed the Preparation step for the setup and was stuck at the step 'Define the Organizational Plan for the Change Department (LO-ECH)', step number 6.

5. Select the object type SAP Organizational Object, and click .
The Add SAP Organizational Object screen appears.
6. In the field SAP org. object type, enter one of the following organizational object types:
TCC11
Responsible for changes of this change type (master record)
TCC13
Responsible for object changes of this change type
When I click on either TCC11 or TCC13, it give me the below error message
"Method CREATE not defined for object type Person responsible for changes of this type.
Message no. 5W003"
I have debugged the program and seems like it error out because there is no entries for 'CREATE' in the table SWOTDV for objecttype = 'TCC13' or 'TCC11'
May I know what am I missing here?

But I find if I have as original media - one jpeg still, one 480 x 720 video clip
480x720? Do you mean 720x420? And what CODEC? DV? Some odd whackball one like MPEG-4? Look at COMPRESSOR in the BROWSER in FCP.
Stills you have to render...
and are employing opacity, a filter like Blink,some color correction, etc. That I get minutes to render a 30 second clip.
That is still adding a filter, and opacity..and color correction. That will require rendering.
If you find that you drop a clip onto the timeline, and you instantly need to render, then something is wrong with your settings. You shouldn't have to render clips in the timeline. Not if they are captured or imported PROPERLY, meaning that they are codecs that FCP edits with.
If you want to just grab random clips or use random codecs and throw them all into an application and begin editing, then you should look at another editing application, like Vegas or Adobe Premiere CS5.

Costing view for BOM cost calculation

Hi,
I want to do the setting for BOM cost calculation like when we execute the CK11 system shows all the componenet of that BOM along with the total price in present devlopment system for one compnay code when i execute CK11 for a materialwhich is having BOM it is not displaying the BOM component, also not showing any price so what setting required for this, that after costing RUN system should calculate the MAP of finish material as per total value of BOM component and that value should be update as the MAP of Finish material.

Dear Vivek Sharma,
Once doing the config settings in OS27,OS54, and having a check for the authorization object
C_STUE_NOH ,the system asks a change number while creating and changing the BOM in CS01 and
CS02 respectively.
CC05,CC07,CC60 are the reports used in standard SAP for ECM.
For exact BOM changes check this,
Check in Table STAS using BOM number.
Say For Eg:
Product is X and it's BOM number is 00002850 and it has got a component say A.
Now if you check in STAS table you will get the result like this,
STLNR STLKN AENNR LKENZ STVKN
00002850 00000001 00000001
Now Let's assume you are deleting this component A and adding a new component say B using a Change
number 50000000076.So for the same product X if you check in table STAS,then the result will be like this,
STLNR STLKN AENNR LKENZ STVKN
00002850 00000001 500000000076 X 00000001
00002850 00000002 500000000076 00000002
Which means item node 00000001 is no more present in the BOM because its marked with LKENZ = X.

Perhaps you can run ST05 while run some transaction for display the
BOM.
Once the transaction for display the BOM gets finished, you need to stop the
trace on ST05 and then display it, you will see tables readden in the
transaction,

Problem of BOM components uploading through BAPI,for the Network(CN01)

Iam PP consultant and facing a problem of BOM components uploading through BAPI,for creating of the Network (CN21)
we have 300 components in the network activity and while uploading the BOM through BAPI , only 295 components has been uploaded.Others components has not uploaded.
Please suggest me what will be the Problem? and
What is the solution for the same?

in customizing availability checked has been applied ,for this reason one additional screen is appearing in BAPI for all these components

'Valid to' dates for both the Header & the components in the BOM report.

Hi Experts,
My Requirement:
Need to display the 'Valid to' dates for both the Header & the components in the BOM report.
Right now we are using the Functional modules 'GET_STKO' & 'GET_STPO' for the header
& the components respectively. The report gives the correct output for the all the BOM alternatives
which exist. But for the BOM alternatives which have been deleted(updated in STKO-LKENZ)
'Valid to' dates are displayed as'00/00/0000'.
(Note:ECM is used for BOMs)
Is there any Logical Database that I can fetch the 'Valid to' dates of both BOM Header & components
which are deleted?

Dear Mahesh,
In my understanding I dont think you cannot get the valid to date for BOM header,unless a ECN,(engineering change number) is
used to set the deletion flag.In otherwords none of the business sets for all these BOM's the valid to date(which means the
default valid to date 31.12.9999 is taken).
Check with this FM, CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 whether can you get the valid to date for the components(infact here also the
valid from date given in the input screen impacts the report output).
Check and revert back.

Planning of Dependent Requirements for BOM Components in Make to Order scen

Hi Friends - I want to execute a full cycle Make to Stock Scenario with Materials planning using MRP.
The scenario will include BOM Components with Routing.
The process flow I want to execute -
1. Create a Sales Order for a Finished Product (Product should have a BOM for Production)
2. Do the product Materials Planning for the Sales Order through MD50
3. Get all the dependent material requirements (both for products as Planned Order and also for BOM Components - all the BOM components should also be planned)
4. Convert Planned Order for Product to Production Order
5. Convert Planned Orders for BOM components to Purchase Requisition
6. Confirm Production Order
To execute this I have done the following
1. I have created a Material Master data for Finished Product (FERT).
2. I have assigned Item Category Group - NORM, and General Item Category group as NORM
3. I have assigned MRP Type PD in MRP 1 View and Strategy Group 20 (Make to Order Production) in MRP 3 View.
4. Now created a Universal (Type 3) BOM for the product with one material component.
5. Now also created a Routing for the Material with two operations having PP01 a control key.
6. Now created a standard sales order for the product.
7. Executed the MD50 for the Sales Order Item.
Now where do I find the BOM components for this material in the Sales Order?
After executing the planning Run MD50 I am only getting the requirements for Product only. I can't see any dependent requirements for the BOM components.
How do I make sure that the BOM components are also planned while the product is planned?
I have checked the component Stock Requirement List - there are no requirements generated from the Sales Order Product BOM.
Pls help me on this. How to do this so that the raw material components are also planned?

I have checked the Planned Order Created through Planning Run.
If I click on the Components Tab I am getting following message
No material components were determined
Message no. 61027
Diagnosis
Until now, no BOM explosion has been carried out or no BOM has been created for this material yet.
Procedure
Either explode the bill of material for this material, or
create the components manually by processing the planned order in change mode.
If I try to explode the BOM through Header Menu - Edit> Explode BOM
I am getting the same message.
If I click on the Bill of Material Tab - I am getting the same above messge.
Ashok - I have tried both the Selection Method -
Nil - Selection by Order Quant.
1 - Selection by Explosion Date
But with no effect.
