Hide folders in FTP directory

Hello,
Used iWeb 09 to create a website. Uploaded to FTP server and it is working fine.
How do I hide the folders where content is stored? Eg. Welcome.html has corresponding Welcome_files folder. But I don't want public visitors to be able to navigate to that folder and view its contents.

Navigating thru folders is a server issue (bad configuration), not an iWeb one.
Create a .htaccess file to hide the directory listing. Enter this code :
<directory />
Options -Indexes
</directory>

I just installed Cisco PI 2.0 on a virtual appliance and I'd like to browse the tftp/ftp directory. I ssh'ed in but couldn't figure out how. With WCS running on Windows, I can easily browse those folders. Please let me know how I can browse the tftp/ftp directory on Cisco PI 2.0 to check what files are in there.

To configure tftp\ftp:
go to Configure > TFTP/FTP Servers > Add TFTP/FTP Server
To access it :
The easiest way to configure a remote FTP server would be with the steps
below:
1) Access your server via CLI and access the configuration mode:
ncs/admin# conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
ncs/admin(config)#
2) Create an FTP repository with the commands below:
ncs/admin(config)# repository localFTP
ncs/admin(config-Repository)#
3) Setup the username, password and server address:
ncs/admin(config-Repository)# url ftp://1.1.1.1
ncs/admin(config-Repository)# user ftpAdmin password plain 12345678
ncs/admin(config-Repository)# exit
ncs/admin(config)# exit
4) Save the NCS configuration:
ncs/admin# wr mem
The use of a different partition is not officially supported as only
folders under the /localdisk partition can be read by the application.
The only supported server types include TFTP, FTP, SFTP, NFS.
TFTP\ftp contains PI backups \database backup , configbackups etc..

How to create "folders" in Active Directory Users and Computers?

Hello Community
    In Windows Server 2008R2 when you go to Active Directory Users and Computer
you will see icons of folders such as:
    - Builtin has a folder icon
    - Computers has a folder icon
    - ForeignSecurityPrinicpals has a folder icon
    - Domain Controller as a folder icon
    - Managed Service Accounts has a folder icon
    - Users has a folder icon
    All of the above folders are visually identical.
    If you right click and select “File” – “New”
on any of the selections the icon
will not look like the folder icon they have their own icons which look different
from the "Folder" icon.
    I would like to create a “Folder” that looks just visually exactly like the ones
mentioned above, how can I create those types of Folders in Active Directory User
and Computers?
    Note: I would like to put users in the folders.

you should use OUs (an OU is they type of object (folder) that is available for you to easily create.
The object type you are asking about is a "container", and there are various reasons why an OU is more flexible (applying GPO, etc).

Automatic import of material data (csv file) from FTP directory

Hello Experts,
We created a Scheduled Task -> Data Import Monitor -> from a FTP directory.
We loaded the .csv file with material data in the FTP folder but it is not getting imported.We have created the .csv file with the format of fields defined in Company quick start Work book -> Material tab. We also tried with a .csv file having first Field as CLASS_NAME with a value of masterdata.Material and rest of the fields same as defined in the Company quick start-Materials Tab still it did not work.
When we load the .xls work book in FTP directory (xl having the Configuration tab and Material tab) the data import is working fine and the data is getting loaded automatically from the data import monitor job.
Is there any specific format of .csv file in which the material data needs to be loaded to the FTP server for automatic import of data using Scheduled task?

Are there any errors appearing in the FPA logs?
Have you checked the permissions on the folder/file that you are uploading from?
What type of scheduled task have you created?

FTP Adapter not writing the file in FTP directory

We have desiged BPEL Process which will get data from Oracle and write in txt file in FTP directory.
For last few days, we are getting following error when we invoke the BPEL Process:

Windows 7 Cannot see All folders in shared directory

Here's a real stumper of a question. I have two folks connecting to our XServe G5 server using Windows 7 Home Premium via Boot Camp. Mapping to the network drive via IP address allows the two users to connect to the shares, no problem. . .or so it would seem.
For whatever, unintelligible reason, certain folders in the directory are non-viewable, and inaccessible. For example, this is what one of our users running on a Mac will see:
Folder 2003
Folder 2004
Folder 2005
Folder 2006
Folder 2007
Folder 2008
Folder 2009
The Mac users use the EXACT same logon credentials as the Boot Camp Windows 7 Users. However, when looking at the same folder list for the Windows 7 users:
Folder 2003
Folder 2004
Folder 2005
Folder 2006
Folder 2008
Folder 2009
I have never come across anything quite like this. As I said, our Mac and PC users utilize the EXACT same credentials to access this shared folder on our XServe G5, yet for some reason, one or two folders are completely inaccessible on the Windows side. I've tried manually entering the directory, and I receive a "folder not found" error. Which is ridiculous, because it's there.
Any idea what I should look at to get a clearer idea?

You can reduce your wired memory usage by 256MB by disabling the IntelHD graphics, which uses shared memory for its VRAM. My testing has shown that disabling that (and thus leaving the GT 330M active all the time) really doesn't impact battery performance that much. I'd rather have the RAM, personally.
Here's what I did on my 2010 17" to disable the built-in Intel HD graphics:
% cd /System/Library/Extensions
% ls -l AppleIntelHD* # this should show you the extensions for the HD chip
% sudo mkdir AppleIntelHD-disabled
% sudo mv AppleIntelHDGraphics* AppleIntelHD-disabled
Wait about two minutes for kextcache to run and update your extensions cache, and then reboot. Your wired RAM should have fallen by 256MB.

Hide Folders App problem.

I used the "Hide Folders" app to hide some files. I had to use time machine to back up everything becuase of a glitch. Now that everything is running again, I can't restore the orginal data by a full restore or I may transfer the glitch as well so I can only take pieces of the backup. I can't find a way to uncover my hdden files again. I downloaded the Hide Folders app again only to find that it is useless becuase it doesn't even know to look for the hidden information. I have my resume and other files that I fear are now lost becuase they're invisiable.
Does anyone know how to uncover these?

If you want to hide an app then you will have to do it via your computer's iTunes : go to the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage, or on the current version of iTunes you can click on your name at the top right of iTunes and then click Purchased on the popup :
Select the Apps section, find the app that you want to hide, and click on its top left corner to hide it (an 'x' should show on its top left corner for clicking on, but on the current version of iTunes it's invisible, but clicking where it should be should still hide the app).

Customize Explorer View to Hide Folders with no Children

Hello,
Could someone point me in the right direction on how I would customize the Explorer view in Siebel to hide folders dynamically? Currently, for each account, all 4 folders are displayed (Accounts, Upward Affiliations, Downward Affiliations, Contact Affiliations). This gets to be a little busy with complex account hierarchies and would be easier for the user for example if there were no affiliations for the account, then the Upward & Downward affiliations folders would not appear.
I have read the applet toggle approach on metalink, but that seems to pertain more to form fields then the inner-workings of the explorer view. Where else in Tools can I find additional places to customize Explorer view?

For example, I have some files and folders in C:\send\ directory.
I want to know how to move them to C:\receive\ directory.

not very difficult. You should use the File class and the "renameTo" method.
Example:
File origin = new File("c:\\lost\\myFile.zer");
File dest = new File("c:\\found\\myFile.zer");
origin.renameTo(dest);Of course you have to take care that the file doesn't exists previously, etc. But i think that all you need is in the File class.

Hide sys , home and public folders in FTP

Hi,
Using Oracle 11g.
I need to create a user account that when is accessing the XML DB using FTP it can only see a pre defined folder.
All default folders (sys, public, etc) should be invisible.
Is this possible?

It should be doable, if is is possible to overrule the bootstrap acl file can be overruled / extended, or something like this via ACL security settings.

Need a way to Hide the Destinations (FTP, Email...) when scheduling reports

We do not have destinations set up for FTP, email and unmanaged disk in our environment due to our stringent security requirements. Even after being told these are not available, our users continue to try to schedule the report to go to these destinations and they are causing the reports to fail and utilize database resources for a report that will not complete successfully.
Does anyone know if there is a way to hide the destinations from users when they schedule reports? I know this was an option a couple of versions back but I cannot find it in BOE XI3.1 SP3. The only option we want our users to see is Inbox and their personal folders.
Our environment is:
Windows Server 2003 SP2
Tomcat 5.5.30
Java 1.6
BOE XI 3.1 SP3 FP3.2

Hi,
We can control distinations by configuring them on Respective Servers, which should be protected from business users.
Assuming that you wish to configure only email as destination for Crystal Reports, then
Step 1 : Access properties of Server-> CrystalReportsJobServer
Step 2 : Choose only valid Desitnations that you wish to provide, In our case it is only eMail
Always go for cloning existing server if you are customization. Which is good practice than directly working on default server.

Dynamic FTP Directory Address in File Adapter - is this possible?

We have a customer who would like us to pick up a file via an FTP file adapter once per day. The problem is, they have a different directory each day containing the file. The directory name is of the form YYYY-MM-DD. The name of the file in the directory is always the same.
Is it possible to dynamically calculate the Source Directory name in the FTP file adapter? If so, how?

All the examples I have seen are to configure the Receiver File Adapter, not the Sender File Adapter. I don't thinl I have seen one blog yet whereby the source directory of a Sender File Adapter has been dynamically configured. I wonder if it can be done because the sender file adapter does not have Variable Substitution possibilities for filenames and directories.
So has anybody a link to a blog where this dynamic choice of a source directory has been done for a SENDER file adapter?

How would i go about hiding certain folders in my files
panel, preferrably in remote view. I can cloak folders in the
remote view but i'd also like them to be invisible in the

First of all it would be nice from you if you post more informations about your notebook model and operating system. This should be done always to get a detailed answer.
Anyway, I never heard about such a problem but make sure that every files will be displayed:
Start Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View and enable the following options:
-Hidden files and folders: Show hidden files and folders
-Hide protected operating system files (this should be disabled > without mark).
Furthermore can you find these missing files using Windows search?
If not I assume the files are deleted from somebody or due a virus. :(

FTP directory from part of PDF file name

I have a requirement to FTP a pdf file to a server directory according to fist 10 char of the file name. I am able to get the file name using variable substitution method but how can i chop the 1st 10 char of file name as my directory? As the file is a .pdf i didn't do any data mapping.

If you dont have any Mapping Objects,then writing adapter module to change file name is the right option
or you can create dummy message mapping and add dynamic configuration UDF ,but in your case you trasfering PDF documents,this option is not feasible.
or writing Java map is the other alternatine,but it is not recommanded to your requirement,because once again you need change the .add IR objects.
