Hide option for SharePoint 2013 UI upgrade

Hello,
I just want to know if there is a way to hide the banner which pops up for UI upgrade on SharePOint 2013? We are trying to leave few sites on 2010 UI only.

Per my understanding, you want to hide the banner which pops up for UI upgrade as below:
You can add this custom CSS style into the master page, it will hide the banner for all the pages in the current site collection.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to know the logging option in SharePoint 2013.
SharePoint has its own logging system called “Unified Logging System (ULS)“, we can use the ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred, we can use the
ULSViewer for more convenient log viewing experience.
Or we can log information programmatically.
There are some logging classes can be used, such as
SPMonitoredScope , SPDiagnosticsService, or create your own “Diagnostics Service” – which is technically just a new class inherited
from SPDiagnosticsServiceBase.
We can also utilize diagnostics.asmx web service for the client side applications.

Which one is the best approach for responsive UI development option in SharePoint 2013
Device channel or responsive UI (HTML, CSS)?

In practice you're probably going to end up with a combination. A couple of device channels for classes of device and then responsive UI within those channels to adjust to particular devices within the classes.
Of course the real answer is as always 'it depends' as you'll need to pick the best option for each client based on their needs.

Can't see 'Upload Multiple Document' option in sharepoint 2013

After upgrading Sharepoint 2010 to 2013, i can't see 'Upload Multiple Document' option under files tab. I have downloaded and place the file 'STSUPLD.DLL' into Office14 and Office15 folder but IE is not asking me to run any microsoft ActiveX control as mentioned here

According to your post, my understanding is that you could not see the “Upload Multiple Document” option in SharePoint 2013.
In SharePoint 2013 the “Upload Multiple” Options has been depreciated. As we all known, there are two alternative ways to Upload multiple documents:option
1 - Using the drag-and-drop functionality, option 2 - Windows Explorer view.
You can upgrade your IE from IE9 to IE10 then check whether it works.
You can also use the Windows Explorer view to upload multiple documents.
You will probably get the following error.
To resolve this add the SharePoint site as Trusted in your Browser and Make sure that the WebClient service is running. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then press Enter.
In the list of services, locate the WebClient service, and then make sure that its status in the Status column is set to Started. If its status is not set to Started, double-click WebClient, click Start, and then click OK.
Once done restart the browser and try opening the Windows Explorer again. In the Windows Explorer you can copy and paste Multiple documents as done in earlier SharePoint versions.

Cannot start FIMSynchronizationService after applying ServicePack for SharePoint 2013 Server

Dear all,
Yesterday we have applied SP1 for SharePoint 2013 on our SharePoint Farm (1 one server + 1 db server). Unfortunately the FIMSynchronizationService (Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service) will not start anymore after applying the SP.
The SharePoint Services: User Profile Synchronisation Service and User Profile Service are started in Central Admin (can started /stopped without problems). Only the Windows Services FIMSynchronizationService cannot be started anymore.
What can be the cause of this problem?
The following application event is visible in the Event Viewer:

1. Try to reboot server and run PSCONFIG wizard.
2. Check if permission of sync account has not changes (SPECIALLY Replicate directory change )permission on AD or local computer
3. what account are you logged in with.

We have done the following:
1. rebooted server
2. run psconfig: Psconfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -c
installfeatures
3. result: complaining about webconfig.accsrv.xml (removed this and tried again, then complaining about other web.config file)

How many server licenses do I need for SharePoint 2013?

I am new to the concept of CAL. I am reading about it. I found this linkhttp://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/101914/how-many-server-licenses-do-i-need-for-sharepoint-2013
Suppose there are 2 users in the sharepoint farm. As per above link we requires 7/8 server license. So my question is do we requires 7/8 licences per user basis (2*7/8) or we requires 7/8 licences once only then we require 2 more licenses for 2 users (7/8 +2)?

The second option.
If you have 7 SharePoint servers then you need 7 SharePoint Server Licenses.
If you have two people in your company who can use SharePoint then you need two Client Access Licenses (7 server, 2 CAL).
If you had two hundred thousand users who could then you would need two hundred thousand CALs, but the number of server licenses would not change. (7 server, 200,000 CALs).

The requirement is disable only Edit Report Option from preview bar not all.

Based on your description, you want to disable the edit report option from SharePoint 2013 PowerView Dasboard.
There is a workaround:
You can change the permission of the report. You should upload the report to a SharePoint library and set a user have read-only permission of the report. When the user open the report and save the changes, it will have error. The user cannot edit the report.

According to your post, my understanding is that after Installation of SP1 for SharePoint 2013, you saw a new button Office 365.
As part of the SharePoint 2013 Service Pack 1, Microsoft has starting to provide some way to implement a sort of hybrid mode – as we can already have with Exchange – with Office 365.
A new link/option shown in the Quick Launch menu on the left or in the Central Administration home page.
After clicking the Office 365, the two links provide you a way to configure a first level integration with your Office 365 to use Yammer (as this now included on Office 365 Enterprise plans) or OneDrive for Business on Office 365.

Our Company have 2 Webfront Servers for Sharepoint 2013 and one Database SQL 2012 Server.
We got one more Server & we don't have Storage so need to configure Always On.

According to your description, you want to configure a SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn Availability Group for your database, right?
Question 1: Database Server is in production, so how much down time required to achieve the AlwaysOn?

I need to setup SharePoint 2013 environment which needs to be accessible from mobile devices e.g. iPAD/Android, for reverse proxy, I am looking at apache or IIS ARR since UAG is going to be deprecated. So far any one setup apache (on
RHEL 6.x)
or IIS ARR(on W2K8R2) successfully as reverse proxy for SharePoint 2013 access? Is there any issue? and which SharePoint authentication method should be configured?
Must is be Form based authentication? As I read some articles it seems ARR supports Windows authentication. Thanks in advance.

IIS ARR doesn't authenticate users, it is a pass-through (unlike UAG which can do auth or anon). Both IIS AAR and the new Web Proxy Role in Server 2012 R2 do not work with SharePoint 2013 Apps.
