Hello guys,
I am creating a custom template (onet.xml) where I would like to Hide/Remove/Delete a particular Heading - in the below picture I wanna remove "Lists" so whenever my template will be provisioned there will no Heading "Lists".
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Here we are

try
foreach (SPWeb webs in web.Site.AllWebs)
iterateWebs(webs);
catch (Exception ex)
WriteLog(ex);
static void iterateWebs(SPWeb web)
PublishingWeb publishingWeb = PublishingWeb.GetPublishingWeb(web);
if (publishingWeb != null)
if (publishingWeb.Navigation.CurrentNavigationNodes != null)
SPNavigationNodeCollection nodeColl = publishingWeb.Navigation.CurrentNavigationNodes;
int count = nodeColl.Count;
while (count != 0)
if (nodeColl[count - 1].Title == "Libraries" || nodeColl[count - 1].Title == "Lists")
nodeColl[count - 1].Delete();
count--;

    tim,
    From the Menu Bar, try View -> Toolbars -> Navigation Bar, and/or View -> Toolbars -> Customize, and '''Restore Default Set''' in the dialog that appears.
    If the menu bar isn't visible either, press Alt, then V, T, M to make it stay.
    If that doesn't work, you can reset the toolbar customizations, using the ''Reset toolbars and controls'' option in the [[Safe Mode]] dialog with the '''Make changes and Restart''' option: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode#Safe_Mode_window

  • How do I remove the print head in a PIXMA MX922 printer so I can clean or replace it?

    How do I remove the print head in a PIXMA MX922 printer so I can clean or replace it? The printer clean and deep clean features will not provide print quality corrections.

    Hi Happy,
    To remove the ink tanks and print head from the printer, please follow the steps located here.  Please note that we do not recommend cleaning the print head using any other methods other than the ones built into the printer, as it may do damage to the printer.  If performing at least one cleaning and two deep cleanings on the printer do not resolve the issue, the printer may require servicing; please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page to obtain your servicing options.

  • [ADF FACES] How to remove the "select" header in selection column

    Hi,
    Is there a way I can prevent the "select" header to be rendered (or customize this header) for the selection column in a af:table when using either af:tableSelectOne or af:tableSelectMany?
    Emmanuel.

    Hi, I've read you filed an ER (in 2004, it's 2007 now) to be able to remove/adjust the header in a selection column. Until now I can only find threads/posts about people facing the same issue, the header can't be adjusted. The answer of one of the Oracle-employees is that it isn't supported and we can extend the adf-source code but this isn't supported by Oracle.
    What's the official answer of Oracle on this?
    This is a very popular issue that needs to be adressed to pleaze the customer that was convinced to use Oracle ADF ... and now we can't answer his requests?
    This issue has been around for quite a long time now, from 2004, there has to be a solution for this, wright?

  • Photosmart 8230. How do you Remove the print heads for cleaning?

    Hi guys, I have a Photosmart 8230. After a few lines of printing the black ink fades to almost nothing, all the colours are perfect. There are no error messages. I have done the self cleaning and alignment procedures and wasted a lot of expensive ink. The test page comes out with streaks on the black only. It has been suggested that I take the print head out and immerse it in hot water as a last resort. The question is, how do I remove the printhead? or should I use it as a sea anchor!!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    I just did this to a HP Photosmart 8250 which is in the 8000 series range. I assume they are similar. I was an appliance repair man and have done a lot of other tings in my life, so I decided to take a shot at repairing my 8250 rather than junk it. For 3 Years it was great, only one paper jam, and fast great photos, so I didn't want to give up on it. HP will not repair printers for us, I think because it is too labor intensive, and they can sell a new one for what it would cost.
    I actually fixed my HP Photostat 8250. Its working but the color printing is not as good as it was, yet, but I am hoping that will improve as all of the colored inks work their way through the system.
    Taking one of these apart and putting it back together is like a Chinese puzzle, so its appropriate that they are made in China. Most of the parts inside can be easily damaged if you are not careful. The covers have very clever ideas to their design and how they snap in place. Take your time with the covers and use small tools.
    Getting it back in working condition is another matter. There is a 6 circuit pump and more than a few feet of tubing. I had the side covers off while I tested it and this pump seems to work in both directions. This pump is inside the left side cover. There is another motor with a timing wheel of some kind that stops and starts in both directions at the same time the printhead carriage is whipping back and forth printing. There are other motors also. These things are ingenious. It is surprising that I bought it for less than $100 on sale. It looks like a $1000 piece of equipment inside.
     It would probably be a good idea to not remove the left side cover, but if you do, be very careful around the clear timing wheel. it looks delicate. Below is from an email I sent to a friend and I am revising it to make sense. Remember this is something that really requires training to do this, but I see people today that have the guts to tackle all sorts of projects, so for what its worth, and you asked.
    Under the right side cover is a motherboard, with a bunch of cables plugged into it, small, larger and even ribbon cables. I found it necessary to remove the motherboard. I had a bit of experience working on Canon printers and I would also suggest you take digital pictures as you go so you can view them on your PC. I am also going through this because I don't like being told we can get anything repaired correctly today, its ridiculous that these printers have become just more throwaways. If you want to do this, as a guide, I must have spent 8 to 10 hours doing this, but now I could do it again in 2, that is the learning process.
    Once you get the top off the printer, you will see the printhead carriage. The carriage will be to the right side. The printhead is retained by two screws at the front, (take pictures) a spring clip at the rear and two screws that hold a plastic cover over the six ink hoses that plug into the printhead, its a manifold strip affair. You have to unplug the manifold to remove the printhead, but now I am not 100% sure its necessary to remove the printhead? The ink gunk you will see after you move the printhead to the left is no doubt most of the problem.
     Probably after the hot water treatment as described below, the built in printhead cleaner will be able to resume cleaning the printhead, after the hot water cleans the gunk from IT.
     I removed the printhead like I say below, but first do this. Under the printhead there is a little carriage with a patch of foam rubber that cleans the print head nozzles.This little device works back and forth while cleaning, but while it is parked, with the printer off, it is forward and you won't be able to move the printhead. Use a flashlight to be sure and you will see how to push the cleaner carriage  to the rear and then move the printhead carriage to the left. THEN, you will see the gunky ink mess that has accumulated. This gunky mess I think is the main problem. There are also some felt pads below the cleaning device to absorb some of the ink gunk. I don't know how the HP techs do this, but I used the hot water method below, I had nothing to lose. I would move the printhead first and then you can decide about removing it. I would make sure not to get any of the electronics wet and why I removed the motherboard and why I say take photos. Its hard enough to remember where the different screws alone go, when you are doing this. It can be done, mine is working, even if not perfectly, YET.  You need to be very careful with your fingers, because it is hard to find space to hold onto the printer and whay it might be a good idea to not remove the left side.
    They are so complicated, its just a matter of time before they get gunked up with ink and the printhead begins floating in the mess. I had nothing to lose so I removed the printhead, carefully, taped up all the hoses so they didn't dry out, Then I removed the motherboard to keep it from getting wet, THEN I held the messy ink end under the HOT water in the laundry tub and flushed out enough ink to dye a bathtub full of water. The hot water worked well. Then I let it all dry out. There are some delicate procedures to all of this and it takes time. I think that is why its very hard to find anyone to fix them. Its labor intensive and probably why HP won't repair them.  The print section is the problem, and why I won't buy an All in One printer, Fax, and Scanner. I do buy the extended warranty's now. If you tackle this, take your time, take photos, and good luck. By the way, the 8250 uses O2 print cartridges, is that the type of printer you have, but a lot of this applies to other printers and other brands, and I bet I am not the only one to do this. Before I started this the diagonstics showed no problems, so I assumed it was the the ink aspect of the printer, and not an electronic of mechanical problem. I hope this helps.

  • Microsoft Word 2010 Hiding/Removing the Navigation Pane for Roaming Profiles

    Hello all,
       I am attempting to do what the title says.  We are using Citrix Profile Manager...basically roaming profiles and when updating the Office version to 2010,  users are displayed the Navigation Pane.  If the NavPane is closed,
    when they reopen their Citrix session it is back to default displaying the NavPane.  Any help on getting this removed would be greatly appreciated.
    I have so far attempted to create a macro Normal.dotm and works partially, however it is not consistent as each time it appears that the modified Normal.dotm becomes overwritten with a default one.  I have also added this modified Normal.dotm to the
    Default user profile locally on the server...to which it does not seem to pull.
    Update:
    I am currently looking to see on how to redirect the Normal.dotm away from %appdata%\microsoft\templates to a central location and have this applied to all users either user GPO or a per machine setup....but can't find anything specifically for Word 2010
    configuration.  Any help on this would also be beneficial.

    Regarding the Navigation Pane.  The setting for displaying it is indeed in the Windows Registry but it is part of a binary data key and thus mere mortals like us are not able to change it. You need a macro... see this link for an example.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/bb6268ac-546b-4118-87fa-21f6fd2cecbc/word-navigation-pane-open-by-default
    Regarding changing the location of Word's Normal template via GPO it can be done. See below link. However, as is pointed out in the link, the recommendation is not to do so. If the central location server is down, no one will be able to create documents.
    In addition, if someone accidentally or purposely alters/corrupts the Normal template... everyone is effected.

  • Remove the Navigation Pane Mini tool bar

    I have Robo Wizard's skinny on skins (which has been a GREAT
    HELP) to see if there is some magical way of making this little
    critter disappear. The only suggestion there is to set the bar size
    to 1 so it is still there but can't be seen.
    The problem is I have to work to very tight accessibility
    rules and have Jack boot wearing autocrats enforcing them. I have
    managed with the remnants of a smile to comply some how with all
    the requirements, from related topics buttons that are text and not
    buttons, relative text sizes everywhere including the related
    topics pop up to banishing tables and images.
    If I just hide the tool bar I'm going to have continued
    criticism over the use of frames, which I will have difficulty
    defending if I have item there that aren't used or seen.
    So to finally get to the point, does anyone know how to
    remove the mini tool bar?

    Unfortunately that's just a variation on the making the bar
    invisible but it still existing route. What I need is a way to
    remove the tool bar all together. What I don't want is the minibar
    to still exist and screen reader software still listing it when it
    performs no function in our help.
    I have looked to see which files define the minibar and it
    appears to be mainly in the whmsg java script file but it does not
    look like alterations to just this file will remove the bar from
    the help output entirely.
    Can the minibar be removed or am I stuck with more redundant
    code, frames etc cluttering up the output?

  • Can someone tell me how to permanently remove the navigation bar so that a user cannot put it back himself. i do not want users to be able to browse to the local c:\ through this navigtion bar. using firefox 7. thanks

    i have locked down a client using policy editor for Windows 7.
    and i want to restrict a user to one website only via a firefox shortcut on the desktop and to restrict their access to the local system drive which is currently vulnerable using the navigation bar. i know how to right click and rmeove but the user can put this back himself quiet easily and then browse anywhere on the local machine or web.

    Even then it won't work.<br />
    If the location bar is hidden then you can use Ctrl+L to bring up a pop-up with a location bar.
    You would probably need to run Firefox in a sandbox that doesn't allow access to the local file system to get that working properly.

  • Want to remove the Navigation path been displayed in Address bar

    Hi All,
    I am facing a problem with the url path displayed in the address bar of browser. Whenever i select a tab in TLN the url path changes. Normally it has to be like http://<host name>: <port no>/ portal but for me it is coming http://<hoatname>/<port no>/portal ? NavigationTarget=navurl://<somestring>. Can anyone tell me why it is happening so and how will i get rid of this. I dont want the navigation path to be displayed in the address bar.
    Thanks,
    Nishant Singh

    Navigation method does not depend on image path.
    There are two standard TLN iView in portal (I do not count one from AJAX Framework Page):
    1) Top-Level Navigation is the default one and based on portal component com.sap.portal.navigation.toplevel.default and consumes EPCM API.
    2) Light Top-Level Navigation is based on portal component com.sap.portal.navigation.lighttoplevel.LightTopLevelNavigation and uses navigation method by URL.
    I have used a image as background of the LTLN
    Whatever you do with the Light TLN in the area of customizing its style, it will always remains Light Top-Level Navigation with navigation method by URL.
    So the answer to your question is do modify com.sap.portal.navigation.toplevel.par instead of  com.sap.portal.navigation.lighttoplevel.par.

  • Is there any way to hide or remove the scroll bars when programming?

    I wish the vi which builded by app builder can display a interface without the scroll bars even before it runs. Thank you very much!

    As was answered here, you can only hide the scoll bars when the VI is running. If you need to enter data or set options before running, then you should redesign the application with a "Go" button or a pop-up and not rely on the user to press the run arrow. Putting the controls inside a while loop would be sufficient and should be easy to do. It's that or live with visible scroll bars.

  • Removing the RFH2 heading

    I'm writing a java program sending messages from UNIX (Sun Solaris) to mainframe (CICS). I use MQ Series and the java program uses JMS, but the mainframe side is not using JMS. Currently my program puts a message through and the mainframe side can retrieve it. The problem is that the message generated by the JMS program places a RFH2 (may not be the correct name) header in front of the actual data portion.
    I think I may be able to use JMSAdmin to specify that the target client is non JMS, but I thought one can do this within the program itself, which is necessary when the target client is a reply queue name comes with another message. So if I have a Queue object which is the target queue name, how can I flag this object to be non JMS?

    You can set the target client by either:
    1. Casting through the JMS API to the MQ JMS queue and call setTargetClient:
    Queue jmsQueue = ....
    com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueue q = (com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueue) jmsQueue ;
    q.setTargetClient(JMSC.MQJMS_CLIENT_NONJMS_MQ) ;Suddenly you have a dependency on the MQ provider internal interfaces which is not very nice and can mess with your build system.
    2. Dynamically invoke the method with something like Jakarta BeanUtils.
    BeanUtils.setProperty(jmsQueue, "targetClient", JMSC.MQJMS_CLIENT_NONJMS_MQ) ;  // assuming java 5, earlier versions you must box the int yourself.This is a bit better, and handy if you're not using JNDI.
    3. Set the property on the queue bound into JNDI using the jmsadmin utility from IBM. Check the JMS provider documentation for this.
    This is the recommended J2EE way of doing it.
    Colin.

  • How do I hide or remove the "welcome" screen from Creative Cloud apps?

    I hate "welcome" screens, which just get in my way and force me to get rid of them. These are only features when I can permanently dismiss them, yet with the latest update, I appear to be stuck with them. Is there anyway I can make them go away? Ideally, I'd like to do this globally, because I never, never, never want to see them again.

    I'd like to know this too. Does this mean that it can't be disabled? That thing is so annoying. Please Help.
