Hide / Show Column in Download to CSV

Hi,
I have an IR where I have to show a column in report, but hide it while downloading to CSV.
I get this by having a condition on this column -
NVL(:REQUEST,'EMPTY') NOT IN('CSV','XLS','PDF','XML','RTF')  I also have a column where I have to hide it in the report, but show it while downloading to CSV.
I am able to hide it, but this column doesn't show up while downloading.
I am using this coundition on this column
NVL(:REQUEST,'EMPTY') IN('CSV','XLS','PDF','XML','RTF') APEX - 4.0.2
Thanks.

Please Update on this..I have a same query as above..Thanks

  • Tabular form - let end user hide/show columns

    I have been requested to create a tabular form, but end user should have ability to hide/show columns, also they should rename the column headers. So I have created a table with column name called "attribute1", attribute2", etc. Based on that table, create a tabular form, which has column header as "attrbute1", "attrbute2", etc. Now end user wants to rename attrbute1 as he wants. And he/she also wants to have a link called "hide/show" next to the column header, so end user can control which column they want to hide/show. It is so easy to do that control from developer side, however, shift that function to end user from front end seems very difficult to me. I have search around and haven't found any good solution yet. Please help. Thanks advance.

    Dear all,
    I have created a document Library LIB001 and I have created One Column of type Choice, drop down list, (CCHOICE) and I have created 3 other columns, (Column1, Column2, Column3).
    What I want is while uploading a file in the document library, when I choose a certain value from CCHOICE, i want to show/hide and/or make the column mandatory.
    Can anyone help/guide me how to achieve this?

  • HIDE/SHow Column Saving preferences

    Hello All,
    I am trying to have a report that allows users to hide and show columns.
    I have looked at the example on this link
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:78:1596122781426415::NO:::
    My only issue is:
    How do you save the preferences, as I cannot seem to see how its done on the link
    Frank

    Hi,
    Recently I met the same question and the solution is , give column level security in presentation layer by
    * Click the column
    * In general tab permission tab is there, give access to specific users and save.
    Now when you login with the user and see the column, it will throw error. In order to avoid that
    Change the following property in security section of nqsconfig file
    * PROJECT_INACCESSIBLE_COLUMN_AS_NULL     =     yes;
    It works.

  • Hide/Show columns only when exporting to .CSV

    Hi, how can i hide a particular column when exporting the report to excel

    Hi,
    You can set column conditionally by request.
    E.g. columns that you do not like export set condition PL/SQL function body returning a boolean
    RETURN NVL(:REQUEST,'EMPTY') NOT IN('CSV','XLS','PDF','XML','RTF');I have sample here
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=40323:63
    EMPNO column is not exported from report

  • Is it possible to hide / show columns in Dashboard?

    Hi All,
    This is my very first post in this OBIEE forum.
    My requirement is to allow users to select what columns they want to see from the answers request in Dashboard. For example in Answers request there are 10 columns and 5 of them are hidden. Is it possible to change this hide property of these hidden columns in Dashboard?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your reply Nawneet.
    My requirement is allowing client to add columns in the result section from the Column selector or some other drop down list. For example lets say we have 4 columns in the result section and 10 values (columns) in the drop down, client could be able to add these some columns to result section, which means 4 columns in the result + selected column from drop down.
    Its not normal column selector which replaces one column to another.
    Is there any way to achieve this?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Master-Detail-Form; Hide/Show columns in detail form depending on column

    Hi,
    i have a master detail form. In the detail form i have the columns:
    ID, MASTER_ID_FK, PC_SOURCE, A_C1, A_C2, A_C3, B_C1, B_C2, B_C3
    The Column PC_SOURCE should be a LOV with values
    NULL
    A
    B
    So if i choose or enter a master record the detail form appears and i can enter one or more detail records.
    PC_SOURCE is the first column.
    If i choose A, the columns B_C1, B_C2, B_C3 should disappear as there should no entry possible.
    If i chhose B, the columsn A_C1, A_C2, A_C3 should disappear as there should no entry possible.
    Is that possible?
    I tried a little on my own but without success. I tried to put into the first column (PC SOURCE lov) in Element Attributes a javascript call like onChange="do_Refresh('#PC_SOURCE#');"
    The javascript funktion do_Refresh tries to catch the column value and set a hidden item P1_SOURCE like document.getElementById('P1_SOURCE').value = v_source;
    But this does not work, as there is not the value of the column fetched.
    And probably can´t work because of the more than one detail rows.
    Thanks & regards,
    Matthias

    Hi,
    The html for your detail form will be a table of input elements with names f01,f02,etc. The columns for the key fields are normally hidden so your PC_SOURCE column will probably use the name f03. The name for column A_C1 will be f04 etc.
    Once you have the input names for your columns you can create a dynamic action (DA) to hide the elements you want.
    You want the DA to fire when any PC_SOURCE element is changed so you want the when to be:
    Event: Change
    Selection Type: jQuery Selector
    jQuery Selector: input[name="f03"]
    Condition: no condition
    The action is to hide an element in the same row if the changed element is a value. So the action should be:
    Action: Execute JavaScript Code
    Fire when Event is: true
    Code: if(this.triggeringElement.value=="A"){$x_Hide('f04_'+this.triggeringElement.id.split('_')[1])}
    You then need lots of true actions for each element you want to hide.

  • Hide Show, Programmatically in Seeded page.

    Hi All,
    I have to add one hide show region in a standard page advance table region. The following are the steps i followed.
    Created one custom region for the detail Region.
    Created the custom VO for detail region.
    Created a vie link between the seeded VO and custom VO
    Imported this custom region
    Extended and substituted the base page VO to add one more column for the hide/show.
    Extending the controller i applied the detail Region to the base page Table using setDetail method.
    When i run the page, Its showing the hide/show column and also the detail region - but its throwing the error View object not found ( Custom VO for custom detail region) and showing no search conducted in detail table. Since the Application module of the page is Root Application Module, i cant extend it. So i cant substitute the AM.
    Is the approach i am trying to follow is correct?? Any help/suggestion will be highly appreciated.

  • How to show or Hide Generic Column in a regular report

    Hi All,
    I have created report based on "SQL query (pl/sql function body returning sql query). It returns columns based on some conditions. I have total 60 generic columns like (COL1,COL2....COL60) but it returns 18 or 20 columns based on my conditions, how can I hide the columns that I don't needed. My column heading is based on function return by ':' separated. My function returns number of columns also. Is there any we I can show only those columns which contains data. My report is exactly similar to the default "SQL query (pl/sql function body returning sql query). I didn't find any logic how they are doing this show and hide. I appreciate any ones help.
    Thanks,

    Hi there,
    Somehow you need to find out how many columns your dynamic select will return (by what you said it seems that your procedure returns this information). Then store that number in a hidden page item, say Pnn_COUNT.
    Then, for the 19th and 20th columns in the report add these conditions:
    Column 19: :Pnn_COUNT >= 19
    Column 20: :Pnn_COUNT >= 20
    I hope this helps.

  • Hide a column in one view, but show in other

    Hi all.
    I need to hide a column on "Table" view, but column needs to show up on "Pivot table".
    I know we can hide it on pivot ( exclude It ) and show on table, but I want to know if reverse is possible.
    This is needed because I am doing a view selector for writeback. And I dont want to display all the columns on writeback table view. But it needs to be there on Pivot table.
    Please let me know if it is possible.
    Thanks.
    Vinay

    Yes we can do that.
    Check on the "Hide" in the column format tab of the column that you need to display in the table lay out.
    Now dupliate the same view and in the pivot table column intially you will not see the column displayed.
    Now in the properties check on "hidden" in the "format headings" and you wont see it still and now uncheck the"hidden" and you shoud be able to see the column displayed in the pivot view
    In this way you will have the column hidden in the table view and displayed in the pivot table.
    Hope it helps

  • Hide a column in one table view but show it in another

    I need to hide a column in one tables view but show it in another table view in the same report. Is this possible?
    Any help on this is appreciated.
    Edited by: VNC on Jan 11, 2010 9:26 AM

    Hi VNC,
    If you're crafty with javascript, you could probably write a script that would set the CSS property DISPLAY to NONE to hide the column in the table view you didn't want but leave it there in the view you did want.

  • Hide/show functionality of a column in  interactive report

    Hi ,
    Is it possible to remove the hide functionality from a single column in an interactive report ?
    I have an interactive report with the first column being a check box. On the column name I have added the toggle checkall/uncheck all functionality.Now when the user clicks on the check all, the hide column option shows up.
    I do not want the users to be able to hide this column.I was able to remove the sort/filter/control break/aggregate/compute chart
    from unchecking each of these from the report attributes of the column.However I could not figure out how to remove the hide column popup that shows up when you click on the checkbox column name.
    Appreciate any response ...
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    I believe you will want to add a height specification to allow for multiple lines.  And you may want/need to specifiy how you want lines to wrap.
    Add (for example):
      height: 60px;
      white-space: nowrap;
      word-wrap: break-word;
    There are defaults and several options for white-space and word-wrap.  You may want to look them up and give them a try for comparison.

  • Hide/show a column in a report

    Hi,
    I'm actually looking for a solution to hide/show a column in a report (matrix form)in function of a parameter..
    Using the conditionnal formating propertie to hide a column (return false) works, but the colmuns in the right side don't move.. It's not very pretty..
    An other way could be to change the elasticity property of a column, and replace the data by "", but apparently, we can't access to this property by the srw command.
    I really need a solution, else I'll have to produce as many reports as I've to hide columns...
    Thanks a lot
    Best regards..

    Hi,
    I use 'decode' in sql statement. If your sql statement is applicable to this,you may use it. So you can choose which columns you want to use and also you can concatanate columns to make them one column.

  • How to Hide/show the columns data while doing Drill down or drill up

    Hi ,
    How to Hide/show the columns data while doing Drill down or drill up in webi report .
    Does it possible BO 3.1 version ?
    Please suggest me on this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Venkat

    While that is not there yet, you can make use of the show when empty yes/no in combination with alerters.
    So I have an alerter applied to every cell of the table.
    When a condition is true (say I drilled down) I just put = "" in every cell, emptying the table,
    because its now empty and doesn't need to show, it wont.
    For the detail table I use the opposite, so when you drilled down it becomes visible...
    Hope this helps all that do not have 40 yet
    Good luck,
    Marianne
