High FSP but Choppy Movement and Performance [LOTRO]

Hello everyone.
I was wondering if some of you technical gurus would be so kind as to lend a hand?
I have a very annoying problem when playing LOTRO. I know this game screams problems when it comes to graphics and performance - but it's just so **bleep** fun to play
First off, I'm using XP on a T61p, 2gb of RAM, 2.4ghz / Nvidia Quadro FX 570 type.
The thing is, in all resolutions except the absolutely lowest ones, I experience a very choppy performance, no matter what "graphics settings" I choose within the game. The fact that there is almost no difference in choppiness between "Very High" graphic settings and "Low" tells me that this is no ordinary problem. I'm an experienced gamer and I know when I'm suffering from low FPS, choppiness related to bad ping etc., this bugger isn't it!
My framerate is around 20-30 at highest resolution, but even with resolution lowered and frames going up to 40-60 - the same choppiness occurs.
Even when I use the lowest resolutions and movement becomes smoother, I can feel the choppiness "underneath", if you know what I mean, just evened out by less strain on the system.
Now, so far I've fiddled around with the graphics settings within the game, disabling and enabling almost everything. The only thing that seems to have a noticeable difference to this choppiness is if I turn Anti Aliasing on, which makes the choppiness worse to a considerable degree.
Besides fiddling around within the graphic settings within LOTRO, I've done the following:
1. Uninstalled the Lenovo display drivers, using both 3dGURU Driver Sweeper and CCcleaner as mentioned in this post: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=209796
2. Installed the laptop2go driver mentioned in the above post with the modified INF to try out the semi-GeForce setting - no change.
3. Installed both the nvidia_wxp_omega_16693_7z.exe and nvidia_omega_xp2k_216921.exe - but to no avail.
That's what I've tried so far. Now, regarding what programs I've installed that *possibly* (though I strongly doubt it) might be having some adverse effect: Diskeeper, RMClock, ESET Antivirus and ZoneAlarm. Can´t think of anything else.
It seems my computer doesn't go above 70 degrees Celcius (from Europe - Iceland) so I doubt this is an overheating issue.
I truly hope someone has either experienced this and found a solution, or is just that goddamn smart!

Lol, it's not solved. The thing is it only worked when in windowed mode. I decided to install SetPoint, see if this was an issue because of a missing driver for the hardware. When I did that, the choppiness returned. I tried every mouse, acceleration setting within SetPoint, (os controlled, setpoint controlled acceleration), nothing. I then tried uninstalling SetPoint - only to find that now it's always choppy, with or without enhance pointer precision option off.
So .. I'm back to square one Does ANYONE have a clue what this might be?

Macbook keeps crashing, mostly in skype vid chat but also movies and random

Same as the title really, it is 2006/7 and have replaced 3 HD in that time, tried fresh install and it still continues to do same..

I am having similar issues. I am receiving the same .tmp "the file may be corrupt." error. I am the IT administrator for a graphic shop. We are running a Mac 10.6 File Server where the Word documents are saved. I have always been thinking this was a network issue, but we have stress tested the network and verified that all cabling is certified and we still receive errors. This happens for multiple users running from different machines, but it does not happen to everyone. I have not found a similarity between the users it happens on or doesn't happen on. We have updated all machines will all MS Office and Apple updates.

My iPad will sync everything but purchased movies and tv shows.

The message I get is that my computer is not authorised but when I go into store - authorize etc it tells me that my computer is already authorised.
Am I missing something? This has never been a problem before.

Oh alright -- I manage to resolve my own stupidity quite abruptly, actually.
Shortly after posting this, I annoying took another gander at iTunes Store settings. To my own idiocy, I must have unchecked "Show iTunes purchases in the cloud" at some point. In my defense, though, the availability of songs in iCloud threw me off quite a lot.
Ha ha -- anyways, if anyone else is having the same problem, check there.

Apple tv not showing any movies or tv shows to rent.very confusing as music and podcasts allows me to buy media but in movies and tv shows I can only view trailers. Any tips please!? Other than reset.

Check that you have your location entered correctly in the iTunes Store settings.
You might also try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for a 30 seconds.

Movies and TV Shows Missing form iPod menu -- what's up with that?

I purchased my fist movie and TV episode last night to see how well I will like them on my iPod classic. I am connecting to the most up to date version of iTunes on my IBM/Win XP computer.
I watched the episode (Journeyman's first episode -- missed it on Monday...it's not bad) and was pleased. Then watched Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy -- also enjoyable even at the small size (especially the opening sequence which emulates "home movie" style in a very small frame).
Near the end of the movie, my iPod battery was giving up the ghost, so I paused the movie and plugged in. After waiting out the "Do not disconnect..." syncing process the main menu finally appeared on the iPod -- but the Movie and TV Shows selections were conspicuously missing from the menu! I have not seen my Movie/TV episode since.
They are in the iTunes library, obviously, but they simply never show up in the iPod menu. So far I have sync'd a number of times -- the sync settings were originally set by default to sync all songs, podcasts, TV Shows, Movies, Songs, etc... I tried "tweaking" these but to no avail. All syncs result in no Movie or TV Shows on the iPod menu.
Most recently I tried deleting all material from the iPod and then re-syncing all material back to the iPod (no help) and lastly I tried resetting to factory default settings (which originally seemed to work just fine) still to no avail.
When I select Settings >> Main Menu ... from the iPod main menu, the configuration screen also does not contain options for Movies or TV Shows.
It all makes me say "Hmmmm...." and leaves me reluctant to waste money on video media (though thank god my Tiki TV podcasts are still coming through just fine ... no Lala? I don't think so!). Nope, check that! video podcasts are not coming through either. GEEZE!
Has anyone experienced this before? Again, I've updated all iPod and iTunes software. Nothing "funky" seemed to happen to cause the problem, other than it conincided with plugging my iPod in (which kicks off the blasted sync process -- geeze these settings are a pain...I'd prefer the blasted thing to just sync on demand) >:-( Any help/suggestions would be most appreciated. Without a solution, I'll never be able to keep up with Journeyman!

No, once a user has been created, you can't run Setup Assistant (without erasing and reinstalling).

Here's what's happened:
When you first start up a Mac and create the first user account, OSX assigns it UID (User ID) #501. The next one gets #502, etc. Those UIDs (not the user name) are what control permission to files.
You can see those numbers via System Prefs > Users & Groups; click the padlock and enter your Admin password, then select an account and right-click it, and select Advanced Options. Do not change anything on that window.
So . . . assume your old iMac had a user 501 with the data you want; it's identified that way on the backups.
When the Apple Store started up your new Mac, and created their account, it became #501.
When you used Migration Assistant to transfer the 501 account from the iMac's backups, OSX copied everything there "as is" except it had to change the 501 to 502.
The new 502 account has all the right permissions to things now in it's home folder, but the backups belong to user 501.
Have you added much to the Mac since you did the migration? Have you done any new backups? If not, while it's a bit of a hassle, one fix would be to create yet another user account temporarily. Make it an Admin account. Log on to it and delete all the other accounts. Then migrate the accounts from your backups; this time there won't be a conflict, so OSX won't have to change the UUID(s).
But if you have done new backups, this won't work, since Migration Assistant automatically uses the most recent backup. There's a way around that, but it's a bit (or more) tedious.

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

Thank you for your query, I will do my best to help!
I grasp that you uninstalled the Intel graphic driver and the catalyst control. You reinstalled the Intel driver and now you can view and hear videos on the Internet but you are unable to set the resolution as high as previously.
When I checked the specifications for your notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.
Here are two links that I believe will help.

Please try this process.
1. Download the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers and save them but do not install them yet
2, Delete the chipset driver and install the updated one.
3. restart your notebook
4.Delete the Intel driver and install the updated one
5. restart your notebook
6. Delete the AMD driver and install the updated driver.
You should now have a Catalyst Control Center.
This should now allow you to use the higher graphic card which should support the higher resolution.

Do you have the parallax effect (the 3D effect) 'on' (Settings > General > Accessibillity > Reduce Motion 'off') ? If you do then you will either need to create higher resolution versions of your images, or turn that effect 'off'.

Wallpaper, icons, and alerts shift slightly as you move your phone.
When you set a wallpaper in Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness, the photo or image will be slightly zoomed and can't be scaled to fit the screen.

InDesign CS6 is not optimized for retina displays. You’ll need to move to Creative Cloud for retina compatibility.

It looks like the answer is to log out of iTunes and then back in. That allowed Rentals to show up in my Movies Library. I rebooted about three times which didn't work. I closed the application and restarted it many times which didn't work.
The solution was to log out of my username and then back in. That worked.
iTunes Bug.
