Highlighting the link using javascript:

Hi
I am using html:link in submitting the page.when i pressed the html:link the link should be highlighted
as well as the submission of page should occur.The highlight of the link should go off only when the user chooses(click) the next link.
can anyone help me how to acheive this using javascript

Sorry, you are at a Java/JSP forum, not at a Javascript forum.
Besides, your actual problem is normally to be solved using CSS, not using Javascript and certainly not Java/JSP.

i have multiple PDF which i have combined using Acrobat pro... the table of content for this pdf does not have link as i had generated it in Word using RD fields. thanks a ton for your prompt response..As i had mentioned earlier, i have around 13 sub documents. i have generated a table of contents for these document using RD fields in a seperate document and saved it as TOC.doc. As these are fields are referring to topic outside the current document, the links are not availabled in word.. i am not aware of any possible method in word to retrieve links for these topics just like how a standard TOC in word works. as i saw it PRO, there is an option to create link, i was wondering if there is any way i could automatically link these topics as in PDF, the topics are in the same document where as in WORD these are different documents.If you could suggest some work around, i would be glad

How to get page number from the PDF using Javascript

We are having list of Single page PDF. The pdf are named in the order,
ISBN_Author_01.PDF (with real page number as i)
ISBN_Author_02.PDF (with real page number as ii)
ISBN_Author_03.PDF (with real page number as iii)
ISBN_Author_04.PDF (with real page number as 1)
ISBN_Author_05.PDF (with real page number as 2)
ISBN_Author_06.PDF (with real page number as 3)
ISBN_Author_nn.PDF (with real page number as 500)
Here each pdf has a page number and in sequential order.
The task is to check whether all the pdfs are in sequential order (i.e i, ii, iii, 1, 2, 3). If any page is missing, the script should throw an error report.
To do this task, I am writing a Javascript to get the real page number from the PDF.
Can anybody help me how to get the page number from the PDF using Javascript.

The "real" page number within a PDF is the count of the physical page starting at 0, zero.
pageNum numPages
The number printed on each page is the page label.
setPageLabels getPageLabel
You will have to open each PDF and your script would need to know the page label for that file. I would expect you would need to build a 2 dimensional array of the file names and the page label for the page within that array.

expiration time has passed for the link used to download an ebook? I checked the time, date and time zone. Plus I am trying to do this on three different devices that are registered and which I used in the past with the reader app- iPhone, iPad, laptop. there is no firewall or antivirus . please help. I don't know what else to try

OK I finally was able to delete it...had to do a restart to finlaize deletion, but the app was gone after. And have re-installed it with my current apple id.

Random text with links using Javascript?

I have a very simple script I downloaded that makes text random using javascript. I would like to add a hypertext link on parts of the text, but can't seem to get it to work.
Would anyone be so kind as to show me how this can be done. I would like to add links to the "Random text string 1.", Random text string 2. etc., within the javascript below.

I actually don't know if this will work, but what if you added <a href> coding around your text line? You might need \ escape characters so that your script sends it out without trying to execute it as code.

You can use something like this as the MouseUp event of the field:

WPC - highlighting the link of the current page in the link list

Hi,
is there any way to highlight a link in my linklist if it's the link to the page i am currently visiting?
That would make it possible for me to customize the link list form and change it into some kind of "tab"-list form where the current tab is highlighted.
A solution via xsl would be fantastic.

When accessing certain links I get the follwoing on a white page: It Works! This does not happen at the link using Explorer

An example of this is when I clicked on the link for the weather .gov radar site on my bookmark it did not go to the radar site but returned the white pager with the owrs: It Works!
This has occurred on other sites where I have tried to access a link. I used Explorer and was able to access the site.
Any thoughts? I have run an antivirus scan to no avail.

After clicking on a link and returning the link used to go grey so i could tell where I had been, now it stays the same. I just updated firefox to 4.0 something, seems like everytime I update firefox I have a lot of small stupid problems.

When I go to a page with a lot of links firefox used to grey out links as I used them so I could tell which whick links I had used, after upgrading to 4. something this no longer happens the links do NOT change. I'm sure i will hav emor eproblems as everytime I upgrade firefox it changes some of my settings

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Opening an external link using javascript. Keeping new window in front

I am displaying a photo from an external link when called upon from my swf. When the user clicks a button, up pops a corresponding photo in a new browser window. After the photo window has opened, if the user clicks another button the photo browser will update but its no longer in front. I know I need to use the focus() command but cannot figure how to incorporate it into my AS3 code.

Here is my code in method DO_HANDLE_EVENT:

But it doesn't works! It seems that this event never be catched. I tryed to set a breakpoint in this method and it never called.
Could you please help me?

You can try the following.
I dont know about htmlb:link
but there is another option u can try.
u can BSP: Call
and pass your controller name in URL attribute
and comp_id.

How to validate the phone using Javascript with regularexpression

I wanted to validate the phone no with java script regular expression in Sun IDM Xpress code.
I have written the code like

But it not validating and giving the "undefined: illegal character (; line 1)"
Can any body help me how to validate phone no in the java script regular expression in Sun IDM.
