Many biological databases can be queried directly via the Structure Query Language.SQL is at the heart of biological databases.Oracle Data Miner load data from flat files in the database.we would create a numeric ID for the genes while loading the data and remove some columns and rows from the data, it is better to load the data directly with SQL Loader.

  • Convert georgian date to hijri date at specific date

    Hi all,
    I'm new in PL/SQL , I use Oracle database 10g in windows xp .
could any one help and provide me with code that accept any Georgian date
and convert it to hijri date
    best regard
    new user
    thanks

the solution would go along the lines of
    to_date(to_char(<date column>,'format model','*NLS_CALENDAR=<code for Georgian>*'),'format model', 'NLS_CALENDAR=<code for Arab/Hijri')
as per the description of to_date in the SQL reference manual.

  • Due Date in new posting period

    Hi All,
Posting date range in new financial period (new posting period) is one in which my JEs should posted and they will be having impact in financial system. Which is logical.
What is the need of Due Date? Is it useful in any practical situation?
    B Ravi Shankar

    Ravi,
You do not have to specifically define a range? When you create a posting period SAP automatically create the range from first day of Fiscal year to last day of Fiscal year.
Let me explain with an example.
Let us consider  01/01/2007  to  31/12/2007 as the fiscal year
For some of the document that you create during the last few months, you may require to enter a Due date later than the Fiscal year (going into next fiscal year)
example: Invoice created on 15/12/2007 with Net 30 terms will need a Due date of 14/01/2008 but since you Due date range ends on 12/31/2007 you will not be able to Add this document.
To overcome this you will have to click on the yellow arrow next to the Period and change the <b>Due Date to</b> to accomodate the 14/01/2008 due date.
    Hope it helped
    Suda

  • RSS feed doesn't give date of new post

    Hi,
I use Firefox/Sage to check what's new in the Oracle planet with RSS feed.
All works fine, exept for new posts in all forums, I haven't the date of posting.
For other center, like "Oracle Press Releases" for example, I have the date of new posts. The problem exists only for posts coming from forum.
    Nicolas.

    Hi Justin,
    Thanks for answering.
In the link which you gave, there are two date tag (as for all forum's rss) : creationDate and modificationDate, but there is not output into RSS feed screen.
In the link below (oramag rss), there is only one date tag : pubDate, and this date is output as well on the rss field.

  • Gregorian-Hijri Dates Converter

    Hello Experts;
I am looking for ABAP Report/Function module for "Gregorian <=> Hijri Dates Converter".
Any assistance in this regards would be highly appriciated and points will be rewarded.
Looking forward for your usual prompt and professional advice...
    Best Regards,
    Aslam
You may ask... What is Hijri Calender?
    <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hijri">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hijri</a>
The Islamic calendar or Muslim calendar (also called "Hijri calendar", Arabic) is the calendar used to date events in many predominantly Muslim countries, and used by Muslims everywhere to determine the proper day on which to celebrate Islamic holy days. It is a lunar calendar having 12 lunar months in a year of about 354 days. Because this lunar year is about 11 days shorter than the solar year, Islamic holy days, although celebrated on fixed dates in their own calendar, usually shift 11 days earlier each successive solar year, such as a year of the Gregorian calendar. Islamic years are also called Hijra years because the first year was the year during which the Hijra occurred— Muhammad's emigration from Mecca to Medina. Thus each numbered year is designated either H or AH, the latter being the initials of the Latin anno Hegirae (in the year of the Hijra).

  • I added a new post to my iTunes U course and it is not showing up on one of my student's iPads.  She has only one Apple ID on the iPad. Any assistance is appreciated.

A new post to my iTunes U course shows up in my course both on my Mac and my iPad Air, as well as on other students' iPads, but for one single student.  We have closed the app and forced shutdown.  Student recently added more icloud space, but that is all.  iPad is up-to-date in terms of iOS and iTunesU app.  The student has only one Apple ID associated with her iPad.
We have reposted two more times.  The second time the post showed up for a few seconds, but then disappeared.  It does not show up under any other section (assignments, discussions, etc).  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Have you contacted Apple support?
I don't know if these will work, but you could have the student try the following:
logout of his or her iTunes U (i.e., iTunes Store) account using Settings
    force-quit iTunes U
    relaunch iTunes U
sign in to the newly launched app when prompted
    I hope that helps!

  • New posting period for former fiscal year

    Hello All!
For a customer we set up a database with posting periods for 2011 and 2012 (monthly periods). The database went live in 2011.
Now the requirement came up to post the opening balances for 2011 per end of 2010 (to have the postings not in fiscal year 2011).
My question is: is it a problem to add now a fiscal year 2010 (yearly basis)?
    Thanks and regards
    Peter Ganserer

    Hi Peter,
Although it is your 2nd posting, I would add welcome message because I had not do so 1st time.
For your question, it is not possible to add new posting period for former fiscal year. You best solution is to post those OB as the first date of the first period.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

The screen field GOITEM-SGTXT on the 'Where' tab is not displaying for current year ,
Previous years the Text field is displaying with the data.
GOITEM-SGTXT is getting the data from ML18N ,  ESSR-TXZ01 as the text is not entering through MIGO.
I checked the customer exit and the BADI's for the MIGO , but not activated for manipulating the
    GOITEM-SGTXT.
Please give me an idea what makes this issue.

  • Blogs Taskflow not Allowing for New Post

I have added the Blogs Taskflow to a page within a custom WebCenter Portal implementation. I have associated this Blogs Taskflow with an existing WebCenter Content folder using a WebCenter Content connection with Identity Propagation. I have made sure to set the correct security on both the page and taskflow resource within the jazn-data.xml file so that all the users should be able to fully use the taskflow.
However, when the taskflow shows up on the page, it shows the folder name, but not a link to create a New Post and I want all Blog functionality to be performed through the Taskflow.
    Any ideas?
    Brian

OK, I will say this again. This is a Custom WebCenter Portal implementation, which means that everything was done through JDeveloper and I have already followed all of the instructions that are listed in the documentation for creating a page and populating it with a Blogs taskflow that is tied to a WebCenter Content folder. However, this is not working the way that it is supposed to.
