  • Tax Calculation in SAP Purchase Order

    Hi Experts,
My Requirment is so get the US and Canadian tax automatically from external tax system ( other than Vertax Sabrix and taxware) while creating Purchase Order. We are using SAP XI to get the TAX AMOUNT from external system.
The probelm is , the external system provides me directly tax amount rather than tax code. As per my knowledge , the tax calculation in Sap is done through tax code only.
Please help me on this. Do I need to do something like , create a new condition type and put the tax amount there ?

Check Financial A/C Global Settings>Tax on sale and purchase>Basic Settings>Check calculation Procedure>define procedure
Which are the Tax conditions available ,In next step check assignment of country to tax procedure check for US TAXUSX is assigned
Create TAX CODE in FTXP , now for the tax code maintain the condition value( you can use standard conditions based on your tax
type or create Z Condition type)  in FV11 with tax code amount and validity
Now when yoo use this tax code your condition value will be defaulted , probabaly you need to create program to use FV11 and update
New condition value fetched by external system to update the tax code and amount everytime or create Z table to store and update
condition values fetched by external system ..please explore further
    Thanks

  • Business workflow - standard SAP Purchase Order Workflow

I'm trying to extract PO header text description. I used call function READ_TEXT, but since this text is wrapped around, how do I display/show this text information at workflow item description. Please advise which forum should I go to see more information? Or advise is there any standard call function available. And for display of text description at workflow item, how to have this text wrapping around, as we always use a standard field with fixed bytes.
For example, if PO text at txn ME23N is showing.
    testing 1
    testing 2
    testing 3
I would like to extract these information into work item description so that it can be displayed exactly the same
    as testing 1
       testing 2
       testing 3.

    Hi,
Do you use any workflow template? What is the template number?
    Regards,

  • Purchase order received directly in customer consignment

We are entering a business relationship with a company where we will send the goods on consignment basis  (W stock) procured directly from a vendor. The SAP documentation tells about using the consignment fill up process etc., that we would have to do a receiving in our plant (even though we won't touch the product) and then do another document (the consignment fill-up) to transfer it to the customer as 'W' stock. What we would like to do is write a purchase order for the material have it received at the customer directly into 'W" stock. Does this functionality exist in the SAP purchase order? Can this be easily achieved?

After creating the Sales order, you can trigger a purchase order from a Vendor through MRP and change the delivery address as the customer. So that the Vendor delivers the product to your customer and you can do the goods receipt in your plant. Then you can do the consignment issue from the delivery to the customer in your system.

  • Blocking creation of purchase order

    >The following is the requirement of our client :-
    >While making a purchase order, the user should be able to create a purchase order only for value below Rs. 3,00,000/- which will be inclusive of all taxes, excise duty and other purchase related costs entered in the purchase order. If the po is above Rs. 3,00,000 the user should be allowed to make a purchase order in tcode ME21N. All the POs above Rs. 3,00,000/- should be processed through the Order Approval Process developed separately.
    >What settings and configuration needs to be made in mm for the same. The customer also want a message to be flashed on screen that the Order is above rs. 3 lacs and oaf process has to be followed.
    >Thanks in advance.
    >AJ

    Hi Ashutosh,
The PO above any certain value can brought under Release Procedure of PO.
The aim of the SAP purchase order release procedure is to replace the manual written authorization procedures.  The person responsible for the processes of the requisition or other purchasing document in the system have to approve by marking an "electronic signature" which can give the document legal force for further processing.
    This link will help you:
    http://www.sap123.com/showthread.php?t=59
Workflow scenario can be worked out for Release Procedure for PO instead of Flash. It intimates the user about the PO in his mail box.

  • Status of Purchase Order should be "Fully Invoice" / "Partially Invoiced"

    Hi SAP,
Purchase Order is made and goods receipt (MIGO) is done against the particular
line item of that Purchase Order, For some reasons the FI entry is entered in the system.
The Purchase Order Line Item is blocked in ME22N for avoiding booking of MIRO Transaction
The Requirement is to change the status of Purchase Order as “Fully Invoiced”
as the same is showing as "Not Invoice" in Purchase Order Header > Status Tab
    Advance Thanks,
    Bhaskar Reddy.S

    Go to ME22N..
Just tick the Final invoice in Invoice tab..

  • Purchase Order Histroy Limitation

We have the business requirement to process selective SAP purchase orders which grow in size to over 500,000 line items due to the PO history. However, the size of the PO has become problamatic regarding the amount of time it takes to run on our server. Our basis team has informed us the threshold for the PO history is approximately 30,000 line items. The scenario for this large POs is most prevalent for our CATS process where a batch job creates Service Entry heets from time keeping entries. A specific time sheet per contingent worker is processed at least 10 lines per week as orkers are asked to split time between lunch. The contingent worker charges time against 4-5 work orders in a given eek, which in addition to splitting time can be 25 line items per week per user. So this translates to 25 line items on the SES and 25 line items on an ERS Invoice. The current SAP limitation is forcing us to shorten the PO duration to 2 months instead of the anticipated 1 year life cycle. Also the processing time for approving the SES and processing the invoice takes approximately 24 hours because of the PO history. We need a resolution to at least make the PO last for a year, and would very much appreciate any insights on if anyone runs a similar process without encourtering our stated issues.

    Hi there,
Please kindly consider the notes I attached to your message.
In general, aggregating part of the purchase order history documents
should be used here. Or you should close the purchase order and create
a new one. Surely we have technical restrictions and can not just
support the processing of such huge data volume.
As far as I can tell from here, using the aggregation transaction ME87
is the only possibility to consolidate this issue, i.e., reduce the
amount of data retrieved by the system to an acceptable amount. So
please let me ask you to aggregate some of your EKBE data for the
    referring PO.
311089 Performance problems because of long PO history
694091 Further processing of aggregated documents
    1.Regarding mass execution of PO's.
In this case you enter you selection data as it is on the start scree
of TA ME87, then you call in the menu program -> execute in backgroun
Then the aggregation will be carried out as a background job and
everything possible will be aggregated as you expected.
2.Details of aggregation can be checked in below notes
417933   Consulting note on purchase order history records ME87
This says that The aggregated records are saved in table EKBEH.
Also, since this will improve performance but if you need more you should follow the below advice.
Please create an index using the data in this note. Issue still is that
    EKBE is very large.

For a detailed description on how to create an index,
please refer to the online documentation, 'Basis Components ->

  • Purchase order sent as a mail

CAn anyone please tell me the basic settings for the Purchase order output to be sent as the mail.

    Hi,
Refer SAPNote 191470 - Purchase order as an e-mail
Basically there are two mail types: Internet mail (external mail) and SAPOffice mail.
Mail is sent via the output determination in both cases.
If you use the external mail, the message for the purchasing document is converted into a corresponding text file which is sent to the vendor via the Internet.
SAPOffice mail is sent only within the R/3 System and has mainly the function of providing information.
In particular, it is not possible to attach a message (form) for a purchasing document to a SAPOffice mail.
When using external mail , the following basic settings are required:
    1. You must maintain an e-mail address in the address in the vendor master.
    2. The same applies to your own user master. You also have to specify an e-mail address there in order to identify the sender.
o Note that it is not possible to change the e-mail address of the vendor via the SAP purchase order transaction (ME21N, ME22N, and so on).
o You can only make a permanent change using the vendor master transactions XK02 or MK02.
o You can use a temporary email address in Transaction ME21N.
    3. For the output type for default values, a communication strategy needs to be maintained in the Customizing that supports the e-mail. You can find the definition of the communication strategy in the Customizing
via the following path: (SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Web Application Server -> Basic Services -> Message Control -> Define Communication Strategy).
As a default, communication strategy CS01 is delivered. This already contains the necessary entry for the external communication. Bear in mind that without a suitable communication strategy it is not possible to communicate with a partner via Medium 5 (external sending).
    4. Use the standard SAP environment (program 'SAPFM06P', FORM routine 'ENTRY_NEU' and form 'MEDRUCK') as the processing routines.
    5. In the condition records for the output type (for example, Transaction MN04), use medium '5' (External send).
    6. You can use Transaction SCOT to trigger the output manually. The prerequisite for a correct sending is that the node is set correctly. This is not described here, but it must have already been carried out.
    7. To be able to display, for example, the e-mail in Outlook, enter PDF as the format in the node.
To use the SAPOffice mail, the following basic settings are required:
    1. For the output type for default values, a communication strategy needs to be maintained in the Customizing that supports the e-mail. You can branch to the maintenance of the communication strategy via the input
    help.
    2. Use the SAP standard environment (program "RSNASTSO" and FORM routine "SAPOFFICE_AUFRUF") as the processing routines.
    3. In the condition records for the output type (for example, Transaction MN04), use medium '7' (SAPOffice) and also partner role 'MP' (mail partner).
    Additional settings:
    Problem:
How can you both change the mail title and text for the sending of a mail message and maintain a replacement parameter, for example a document number.
    Solution:
    1. The replacement routine is maintained in the Customizing for the output type in the detail screen on the 'General data' tab under 'Replacement of text symbols' (for Release < 4.6B, this can be found on the 'Mail' tab page).
    Program: SAPMM06E
    FORM routine: TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE
    2. If you work with the new Enjoy Transaction ME21N, ME22N or ME23N, Notes 370522 and 420066 are required.
    3. Maintain mail title and text.
o If you want to send a purchase order within an R/3 system using the SAP office, you can maintain both the mail title ('Re:') and also a mail text in the Customizing for the output type To do this, select the directory mail title and text for the corresponding message type.
o If you want to send a purchase order as (external) mail, for example, to a vendor, you have to maintain the mail title in the condition record for the output type (for example in Transaction MN05) on the 'Communication method' tab page. Enter the mail title in the 'Text for cover page' field. You cannot maintain an additional mail text.
o Note that the values from the mail title are used to create the description for the attachment.
    4. The replacement parameters must be enclosed by &. Example: You want to enter the title 'PO number 450000001'. For this you have to enter the following in the Document Title field (Message Customizing -> sub-option: Mail title and texts) 'PO number &EKKO-EBELN&'
o Note that the replacement via TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE can only be executed as of Release 4.6B.
If you also want to use the purchase order number in a release < Release 4.6B, refer to Note 120474 - as an alternative, you have the option of implementing the text replacement functions by Consulting, priced separately
    Problem:
You send a purchase order by e-mail and want to attach the document as a file type (for example, PDF).
    Solution:
The file type is maintained in the corresponding node in SAPConnect (Transaction SCOT). If you have any further questions, contact your Basis administration.
Attaching purchasing documents to e-mails is only possible for external (Internet) mails. This is not possible with SAPOffice mails.
    Problem:
Although LET (print) for example is still set as the alternative to INT (e-mail) in the communication strategy, a program termination occurs because of a missing e-mail address.
    Solution:
    See Note 310234.
    Problem:
When you send a mail message for a purchase order, a short dump occurs if the purchase order was created with reference to an outline agreement.
    Solution:
    See Note 502250

  • Send purchase order by e-mail with address of bad partner order

I have a supplier with 3 addresses of order of which I choose 1 during the creation of the order.
The creation of message NEU is done with the new partner.
The sending by e-mail is done with the address of the initial partner.
I do not find any note OSS on this problem.
We are with the version SAP ECC 6.0.
Did somebody already encounter this problem?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
    Frédéric Blaise

    Hi Frédéric,
Sorry about the mess, SDN does this some times. I'll try it again.
I have attached a very useful note 191470 regarding the steps you need to setup to enable message determination in the PO via email.
    191470 - Purchase order as an e-mail
    1.  You must maintain an e-mail address in the address in the vendor
         master.
    2.  The same applies to your own user master. You also have to specify a
e-mail address there in order to identify the sender.
o  Note that it is not possible to change the e-mail address of the
vendor via the SAP purchase order transaction (ME21N, ME22N and
            so on).
o  The system only uses the e-mail address of the vendor that is
            maintained in the vendor master!
However a suggested workaround would be in that transaction XK02
you can enter several e-mail addresses and select the standard one.
When you create a purchase order in ME21N, in 'address' tab, click on
'address details', there you have the possibility to select another
e-mail address than the standard one.
Also regarding the partner functionality and message determination
I would advise you to review the help documentation online via
    http://help.sap.com/.
Help documentation - vendor master (partner roles)
    Logistics -> MM -> purchasing -> master records -> vendor master ->
    partner roles in purchasing.
    Message determination
If you want to have partner roles taken into account in the message
determination process, you must select the New Partner Role
Determination indicator in Customizing when assigning the message
    determination schema.
To do so, choose Messages -> Output Control -> Message Determination
Schemas -> Define Message Schemas for  in Customizing for Purchasing.
If you select the indicator, all partners maintained in the purchasing
document will be passed on to the message determination facility. For
each partner role, the latter then searches for condition records
    containing the relevant role.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • Purchase Order E-mailing with Release Strategy

    Hello,
We are experiencing an issue when e-mailing a Purchase Order which has a release strategy. When the order is released, the confirmation e-mails are going to the person who releases it when it is supposed to go to the person who has created the P.O. We are using a Smartform P.O. based on /SMB11/BL_MM_PO_L and print program /SMB40/FM06P. I must note that there was a bug found in the aforementioned print program and before that was fixed e-mailing would not work at all.
We have also attempted to use all combinations of standard unmodified print programs and standard unmodified smartforms and have had no luck at getting the confirmation e-mail to send to the correct person this way either.
SAP has recommended that we use program SAPFM06P with form Medruck. While this combination does work correctly, Medruck is not a Smartform. Has anybody here used a smartform Purchase Order with a release strategy and had the confirmation e-mail send to the created and not the releasor?
Below is a list of the print programs and forms we have tried in various combinations. We are running ECC6/Basis 7
    Print Programs:
    /SMB11/FM06P
    /SMB40/FM06P
    SAPFM06P (Sapscript Only)
    Forms:
    /SMB11/BL_MMPO_L

  • Unlimited space in Header Text of Purchase Order

    Hi
Our customer wants to have unlimited space in the Header Text of the Purchase Order. Standard SAP Purchase order header text allows 15000 lines to be entered (approx 150 pages). After which the text needs to be split and entered. The same was suggested to the customer, but he wants to have unlimited space to enter in the Header Text and the same to be printed in the purchase order.
Can any one suggest a solution for the same.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Purchase Order Request: (Third party -- XI-- SRM)

    Hi,
    We have the following scenario:
Purchase order is send from our application to XI and then from XI to SRM. This purchase order will have a unique ID (our application assigns the ID). We would like SRM to send back Purchase Order Confirmation, and this PO Confirmation to have a unique PO number generated by SRM as well as its associated request unique ID (the one our application assigned to it).
    1. First of all, is this scenario possible?
    2. If it is possible, do we have to create our own purchaseOrderRequest_In interface in XI or can we use the standared purchaseOrderRequest_In interface to send the request from XI to SRM?
    3. What do we need to do for PurchaseOrderConfirmaton to be sent from SRM to XI?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Karma

    Hi Karma,
This is standard scenario of SRM SUS(Supplier Self Service) .
Where SAP sends Purchase Order to SRM SUS via XI through standard setting .
In this, unique number is assigned in SRM SUS that  will be stamped while comming from SRM SUS to SAP Purchase Order's  tracking number field .
Only we have to map in standard XI PurchaseOder_In Interface in XI .
