Hiring action with reference Pernr via HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA

Ciao,
I need some help to solve the following problem:
I get all needed data for an hiring action via external interface and need to perform the hiring action with HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA by passing a reference personel number to the function.
my problem: theres no chance to pass the parameter RFPNR to HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA and so the function does not link the new PERNR to the CP of the RFPNR
therefore, the function creates a new employee with a new central person (CP) instead of linking the new employee to the central person of the passed RFPNR and copying the relevant infotypes
my question: does somebody know how to make HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA work with the reference Pernr (RFPNR) ?!
alternatively I could delete the link between the new employee and it's (new) central person, insert a new link between the central person of the referenced employee and the new employee and delete the crfeated central person of the new employee.
as result I would have correct links to the CP BUT I'm facing the problem, that the infotypedata of the CP was not taken over to the new linked employee ...
is there any function or report, that copys relevant data (infotypes) from a central person to it's linked employees (PERNRs) ?!
would be nice if anyboday could help me or give me a small hint
thanks,
Markus

I found the solution by myself ....
Problem: hr_maintain_masterdata crashes with shortdump while writing an hiring action.
Cause: we implemented infotype enhancements via userexit where parameter VIEKN is queried. The parameter VIEKN is saved in infotype 3.  In LUW-mode 3 theres no existent IT0003 when hiring a person (because nothing is written to database) that causes the shortdump ...
solution (workaround): First I have to call maintain_masterdate just with infotype 0000 (without reference pernr!) ... that triggers the creation of it0003 by the system itself ... then I have to call a second maintain_masterdata with all the other infotypes of the action and everything works fine! Now the new person is in the system and while creating the person, the system also created a new central person and a link between the new CP and the new person.
after doing this (and did'nt get any failure!) I have to determine the central person (CP) of the referenced person, making a new link between the new person and the referenced persons CP, deleting the link between the new person an d the new CP, deleting the new cp and every thing works fine!!!! the reason for this is: infotype 31 just shows the "links" that are defined in OM

  • E-Recruitment and Hiring Action

Can someone tell me that once you have selected your applicant through e-Recruitment, how do you then hire the employee into ERP HR?
    What is the process?
    What data can be transfered?
    Thanks
    WB

    Hi,
as said by the community before the standard technical ways to transfer data from e-recruiting to PA for hiring are RCF transfer into table T752F where they are used for PA48 or the XI technology. The HCM Forms might be an option but the Adobe licence (if not already there) might cost more than the complete e-recruiting rollout.
That's the theory. As far as I encountered in different rollouts XI is usually not available for the HR in most cases. So most projects tend to use the RFC transfer. But in the end you have to admit that the system only supplies ~15 values from personal data and address which are not exactly matching the PA infotypes (e.g. in e-recruiting street and house number are one field, in PA there are two). All data is entered by the applicant so everything has to be checked and it's only a low percentage of a complete hiring action with >20 screens. So it is not very uncommon that in the end the real process stays on paper. The hr admins send out a form, the applicant fills it and sends it back. Then the hiring action is done and the paper version gets into the the files.
So often the lived process does not match the technical options available.

  • Report for Hiring Action Along with BASIC Pay

    Dear
I have created a BDC for hiring action for which data is updated in infotypes 0,1,2,6,7,8,9,14,15,16,41,105,587,588 mentioned in the infogroup.
Earlier we are  not creating entries in 0008 now we need to BASIC PAY  in the hring Action.
What should be the best apporch.
Either we create perner by giving infotype values 0,1,2. and put this values in internal table and then update other infotypes.
                     OR
In a single fo we provide all the data related to infotypes by using PA40.
Now record need to be created of few of additonal infotypes which is not part of hiring action infogroup like 19,21,22,23,185.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ravi

    Thanks for your valueable comment.
AS hiring action it is must to input values of infotype 0,1,2.
So acccording to you firstly, i need to hire a person through bdc.
So for next infotypes i need to do by PA30. But for this i need pernr which i created in first step.
how it is possible to  get perner created and then go for one by one infotypes sepratley.

  • Action script with reference to root causing problems in Captivate

    Hi All,
I just inserted an animation into Captivate and it seems to
be working as intended; however, i receive a warning stating that
action script referencing "root" may cause the Captivate project
not to work properly or at all.
Has anyone experienced such a problems coming from action
script reference. It appears to be working fine, so I'd rather not
touch it if I can get away with it.

If you run into issues there is a technote on Adobe.com that
    will advise you
on how to remove or work around using _root references.
    Ideally you would
never refer to _root at all.

  • Return order with reference to the billing document created via IDOC.

    Dear Colleagues,
I’m struggling to understand and confirm whether standard functionality of ORDERS05 idoc allows creating a return order with reference to existing billing document?
I have tried using standard segment E1EDK02 and E1EDP02 with qualifiers 009,010,011,087 but unfortunately idol is not creating a return order with reference and ignoring this segment.
Have any one came across similar problem? If yes then will be grateful for sharing his experience.
    Best regards,
    AL

    Dear Friend
    Welcome to SDN
Return order is itself a challenge to SAP standard settings
    There are some scenarios
    1. Return order qty should not be increasesd say Billed qty of material X is 20 units
While returning Material X should be a maximum of 20 units
If made 21 it should throw error T code OVAH message class V4 message no 299 convert from warning to error thro customization
2.Return order should be created only once referencing billing doc
To control that T code SE91 message class V1 message no 499 convert from warning to error thro ABAP help
3 Your issue is same like case 1 but the material X is entered as second line item in the return order with some qty
This case system is not throwing even a warning
    Yes correct
This is to be handled with userexit
    Discuss the same with ABAPer
Check these threads on return issues which is of different scenario than of yours

  • Create sales order with reference via BAPI

    Hi all,
I would like to know if is it possible to create a sales order with reference using BAPI, that is, I want to create an order from a contract, for example, referencing one or more contract itens. If so, what variable or table should I use?
I think that the most suitable function is
'BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2' or should I use another to do this?
I am using release SAP ECC 6.0.
    Thanks for any help.
    Paulo

yes, you are using right BAPI i.e. BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2
You will have to provide ORDER_HEADER_IN in that, Others are optional, even then if you have data for them, Provide it for better performance.
For any confusion related to chosing BAPI :  You may go to BAPI  transaction and find out the correct BAPI according to ur need. for example sales order relatd BAPI's are
    BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE :Change Sales Order
    BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2: Create Sales Order
BAPI_SALESDOCU_CREATEWITHDIA: Create Data Container with Dialog
BAPI_SALESORDER_GETLIST:List of all Orders for Customer
    and so on.

  • Goods Issue with reference to Material document

    Hello,
I would like to create Goods Issue with reference to material document (Transfer Posting document) , but the following message appears :
"Selected material document does not correspond with action to be executed".
Is it possible to create Goods Issue with reference to Transfer Posting (mov.type 311 - from stor.loc. to stor.loc.)  ?
    Thanks

    Thanks,
probably I'll have to find another way to solve this business requirement of copying the transfer document data in GI.
We have an auto created transfer postings via interface from another system and the main idea was to use already entered fields in transfer posting document such as material , quantity , text , goods recepient , etc. and not to enter them twice when GI should be created. In our case (it's a case for certain materials) it's always 1:1 relationship, so the idea was to facilitate the job of creating the GI, because GI should contain the same data as in transfer posting document.

  • Dynamic action with interactive report region refresh

    Hi!
    I'm using APEX 4.02
    I've got a page with 2 regions.
    Region1 is a (input) form
Region2 is an interactive report on the same table as region 1
When entering values on the form I'm trying to dynmically lookup similar records in the table with the interactive report.
I've made a dynamic action on the change of the form fields which should refresh the interactive report region. I can see this one fires if I add a alert to debug if it fires.
The dynamic report is based on a query with bind variables pointing to the form fields, for example
    where
    field1 = :P2_FIELD1
This works great on the page load, so no dynamic action is fired but I can see the rows in the report region are the ones I am looking for.
But the refresh of the report region is not working, it is never refreshing and/or showing the correct data after a change of the form fields, so it looks like the dynamic action "refresh region" is not working on the interactive report.
Any ideas why this can go wrong ?
I would like to solve this using standard dynamic actions and preferrably not via PL/SQL or JS, shoudl be possible if I should believe the documentation... ;)
    Cheers
    Bas

    Hi,
When you change value to item, I assume you do not set value to session state.
Use interactive report advanced attributes "Page Items to Submit" , set items session state before report is refreshed.

  • How to clear grey loading screen and animated gif (Dynamic Action with "Show Processing" on submit)

    APEX V4.2.3
    DB 11.2
I have a classic report on page 1.  I have a region button called "Export" (defined by a submit dynamic action with "show processing=Yes") that submits the page and then via a branch directs me to page 2 which has a slightly different version of the report on page 1 (i.e. no breaks) which I want to capture as a CSV export.  Therefore I've set the report template on page 2 to " Export:CSV".
Now when I click on the page 1 export button the grey screen and loading gif appears indicating that the report is executing and then as expected, page 2 doesn't appear but instead the standard open/save window's dialog box appears asking to open or save the generated CSV file.  All good..but the grey loading screen remains.  How do I clear this loading screen and get back to the context of page 1 ?
    thanks in advance
    PaulP

    Hi PPlatt,
We would love to help but you left out one crucial part of the puzzle: namely how does your CSV report get exported. With the way it is setup (a redirect to another page), I'm going to assume you do that because you have some PL/SQL on that page that prints the CSV.
Now there are two questions that are crucial here:
    - How do we stop the icon from bugging us on the screen
    - How do we communicate with the browser that it should no longer display the loading icon
The first question is rather easy, two simply lines of codes can do that:
    $('#apex_wait_popup').hide();
    $('#apex_wait_overlay').hide();
But when do we use this code? Quite simple when the document is downloaded. When is it downloaded? At the end of the PL/SQL code that prints the document to the browser.
    What you could do is at the end of that code give an application item a certain value. For example :AI_PRINTED := 'Y';
Then all you need to do is let the browser ask for the value. You could do this by using JavaScript to continuously fire AJAX to the server using a JS timing event:
    http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_timing.asp
Better would be a Server send event, but since you left out another crucial piece of information: your browser, I will not go deeper into this.
Start this timing event when someone asks for the document, and end it as soon as the process returns that :AI_PRINTED equals 'Y'.
Despite the lack of information, I hope I have given, or at least inspired you to get to the solution.

    Joni

  • Create a Sales Order with Reference to Contract using IDoc / LSMW  ( AFS )

    Hi Gurus,
I need to crate a Sales Order with reference to a Contract. I need to upload Sales Orders with reference to contract via LSMW.
So far, I've been able to create the Sales Order with ref to contract. But, the Sales Order Quantity is not getting deducted from the Original Qty in Referred Contract ( When try to create another Sales Order referring to the same Contract.) When a Sales Order is created manually, this is working fine.
Please tell me if I've missed some parameter which stopping it create the link to exact schedule line ( Sizes level )
    The Details of the IDoc which is been created via LSMW are as follows;
    Message Type: ORDERS
    Basic Type     : /AFS/ORDERS05
Process Code : ORDE / DELO
( Tried with both process codes.  But the Identification is the same for both: IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS )

    /AFS/UETENR
Still its not getting updated in the VBEP also..
Please help me with regard to this. Points will be awarded for your valuable contribution.
