Home Internet charge for Skype subscription

My home Internet provider has been charging me $5 a month for phone service and has now concluded that it is because I have a Skype subscription. Why am I being charged twice by Skype?

That your home internet service provider is charging you for phone service (a telephone number and presumably a rate plan associated with it) is not duplicate charging by Skype for a rate plan or outgoing call subscription on Skype.  That you have duplicate telephony services, by two service providers, which many people do, seems to be the misunderstanding?

    I was recently charged for Skype Pro, which is a discontinued feature.  I have World Unlimited and don't need Skype Pro.  How do I get my $3.00 back on my credit?

    For the last one week, when i get the link from skype.com and drill through the link, it said "The mobile phone is not compatible". And i got the s60 symbian version's skype installable from my friend and tried t oinstall and use. 
    I received a warning message when i tried to install for compatibility check, i neglected and proceeded. I was not able to work with the installed one.
    Finally and fortunately, ovi.nokia.com provided the compatibility version of skype which ia m using fine now.

    Hi I was charged for a subscription to the Sunday times paper however within my manage subscriptions the auto renewal is not selected how can I be reimbursed for this and how can I make sure this does not happen again. thank you

    Depending on where you are in your subscription cycle / membership and the type of membership
    If you have an individual membership, and opted for the annual membership (lower monthly fee). If you are cancelling in the middle of your membership, then you would be billed 50% of what's left of your membership for the remainder of the year, basically that would then in $$s become more like having taken out a month-by-month membership (higher monthly membership fee).
    If you are in the last month of your annual membership or your are on a month-by-month membership, you can log into your creative cloud account, cancel the plan yourself (no additional charges apply), by logging in with your Adobe ID and password, click your name in top left of screen and click on Manage Account.

    I filled out the form for a Skype number. I asked for a 3 month (15€) subscription.
    I changed my credit card details as they were out of date and then submitted the order.
    OK, I should have checked, but having said "3 months" I expected it to stay that way.
    I have now been charged for 1 year which will take my bank account into overdraft and cause me all sorts of problems. Is there a way to reverse the transaction and get what I originally asked for?

    Dear Adobe,
    much as I dislike the thought of posting my private business on an open forum, I have no choice in this matter as your chatlines hardley ever seem to be available.
    I signed up for a one-month trial of Indesign CC, then decided to deactivate my subscription (well before the month was up) so that I would not be charged. I had the chat below which led me to believe I didn't need to take any more steps to ensure deactivation. But no, I have now been charged for a month's use, despite alerting Adobe that I wanted to unsubscribe and then uninstalling the program from my computer.
    Please make sure I am unsubscribed and refund my credit card immediately.
    I am very unhappy to see the number of people on these forums who have similar problems, so I will have a hard time ever trusting Adobe again.

    As the agent explained, there were no paid subscriptions under the account details you provided so there was nothing to cancel.
    Could you please check and let me know if you used a different email address to sign up for the subscription.

  • Charged for magazine subscription

    I have been charged for an apparently free 6 issue magazine subscription after only receiving 1 issue.
    I have contacted the magazine company whom said it was an I tunes issue, so I contacted I tunes and still have no response. I do not want the subscription and definitely want the money returned as I have not received the goods I was informed I would receive. I have been greatly misinformed, mis sold and charged for services I have not agreed to.
    I require a response and explanation from somebody.

    If the subscription was represented as free, but you got charged anyway, that is one thing.
    If you paid for something and "have not received the goods" that is a different thing.
    Please be clear on what your point is, and then contact iTunes Customer Service.

    No there isn't. If you want to activate the Touch ID, you have to have a passcode for security purpose, in case the Touch ID fails. And, to use Touch ID on the App Store, it has to be active for unlocking the phone. While you can use it to unlock the phone and not use it for the App store, if you use it for the App store, you have to use it for both.

    My bank called me because they suspected fraudulent activity on my account. So when i looked into i noticed that they charged me for my subscription which was correct but as far as the credit goes, they charged me $13.52 for a $5.00 credit. I don't understand.... and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

    Best would be to contact the company that makes/supports the game. If you do not get satisfaction there, contact your credit card company and dispute the charges.

  • We traded our home internet service for a Sprint Hot Spot.  The hot spot does not have an ethernet port to connect through.  Can we connect our time capsule to the wireless hot spot?

    Hello, we switched our home internet service from an ethernet modem to a wireless hot spot. 
    Do you know if there is a way to connect our time capsule to the hot spot? 
    Everything I read only suggests connecting through an ethernet cable.  I'm hoping there is a way to do this.

    No you can't join a wireless hotspot with a Time Capsule directly via it's 'join' option (tried and failed - well to be exact it kinda works but the Time Capsule's ethernet ports no longer work).
    What you can do is buy an airport express and use it's 'join' option to connect to the iPhone's hotspot. Then you connect the airport express via ethernet to the time capsule (in bridge-mode).
    You can then connect your computers to the time capsule via ethernet or use it's wireless function to set up wireless network (with a different name to that of the hotspot) that your wifi stuff can connect to.
