Hosting Product Catalog and Sales Pricing on Portal

Hi,
1. We need to create the catalog in Portal and update the sales price from the back end ERP ECC 5.00 system.
Is it possible to create the same directly in Portal and thereafter update the sales price?
2. I need to capture the data as an input from Portal and want to send the same to lotus notes as an email. Does EP support sending of mail to Lotus notes.

Thanks Michael,
I agree that the Portal should not be used but in this case if the customer does not want to use SAP CRM for creation of shopping cart / Hosting of catalog, any suggestion you would recommend to make this scenario feasible and possible?
Thanks for your quick response.

  • Adobe DPS Product Catalogs and Apple

I wanted to get some feedback from other DPS users and possibly Adobe. We have a large customer that has asked us to convert their national product catalog into a DPS version. We have integrated audio, video, 360 degree product views and other exciting interactive features. In addition next to many of the items we have plans to add a button that takes the user to the website for more information and ultimately click through to buy the products.
Adobe in much of their marketing materials and case studies mention the DPS platform as being perfect for product catalogs. Beyond the spec work we have done for this client if authorized to move forward does anyone know if Apple would reject a product catalog. There are some DPS catalogs in the Apple store but I have heard different opinions as to whether this would be allowed. Again any insight by Adobe or other users would be appreciated.

    @eastcomms
The customers wouldn't require their own Adobe IDs.  They would just need the username and password associated with the acrobat.com account.  Anyway, Adobe got rid of the system whereby you could invite only those acrobat.com members that you wished to view your folio via the Content Viewer when they login using their own IDs.
But yeah, all the analytics or whatever wouldn't be available so you'd be out of luck there at least.  Still....
    Here's the harsh reality:
There is no way that Apple is going to let you publish a catalog app.  It's never going to happen, and there's no use in even trying.  They've allowed very few of these kinds of 'promotional apps', and have taken many of them down that had been previously allowed.  In addition, Adobe has thus far shown that the marketing/brochure/catalog world isn't something they care about.  They've opted out of any sort of sideloading option that would allow your client to distribute folios via their own server, and the Enterprise package is so ridiculously priced that all but the most massive companies can't afford it.  $5000 a month?  Pfft.
Adobe continues to look upon DPS soley as a platform delivery system for magazines, and that's fantastically short-sighted.  If I were heading up the DPS team over there, the very first thing I'd do is open the entire platform up to corporations and business who wish to publish in-house and client facing materials.  My God, the money to be made with REASONABLY priced Enterprise packages is astounding.  I kid you not, I just had 2 meetings today where teams are absolutely loving the DPS platform, but cannot even remotely justify the enormous per month fee associated with the Enterprise package.  Adobe forgets that it's individual departments, not the corporation as a whole, that need to foot the bill.  Unless you're Conde Nast, I suppose.  But for the rest of us who aren't in the publishing industry...
The absolute best thing you could do for your client is direct them to someone who can make a custom app; one that can be distributed from their servers via a web-based registration and download system.  If they've got the chops they can even build-in a tracking system.  It's going to be far cheaper and way more flexible at this point when compared to Enterprise DPS.  Take a cut off the top as a referral fee if need be.

  • ECP with network activities and sales pricing

    Hi experts,
Currently I have configured the system so that I can plan costs by assigning Easy Cost Planning templates to network activities and WBS elements. However, when I try to create quotation (sales pricing) from Project Builder (CJ20N), the planned costs of ECP templates assigned to network activities does not appear, only the planned costs of ECP directly assigned WBS element appears.
    Thanks in advance.
    Hieu Nguyen

After extensive testing, I believe doing sales pricing from Project Builder would not work correctly when using ECP with network activity. Sales pricing from Project Builder will only work properly if ECP only assigned to WBS element.
If you need to use ECP with network activities, you would need to use DP82 to do the sales pricing.

  • Transfer product catalog  hierarchy sales area level

    Hi all,
We are creating a catalog in CRM  based on the product hierarchy (in CRM, Catalog->transfer->product hierarchy). The hierarchy is well copied into the catalog, but the products are not automatically added to the hierarchy. The problem is thatin our product master data,  the products are on "Sales Area" level (in the field dist.ch.dep. category), not in the "General" tab
Please do you have any suggestions? Thanks

  • WBS element , Production Order and Sales Order Link

    HI,
I have to get the name of the customer mentioned in the sales order. In Sales order line item assignment WBS element has been assigned as this is a sales order for customer specific.
Now I am doing MRP run against WBS element and getting the planned order.
After that i am doing Conversion of planned order into production Order with transaction code MD04.
In the production order, Assignment tab WBS element is showing.
My query is that against the WBS element and that particular production order how can i trace sales order as well as the customer name.
Note: The WBS element can be assigned to more than one sales Order line item.

    Asutosh Mahapatra,
Since each production order is created for 1 unique Sale order number you should see the sale order number on the header screen in production order ( General data tab). Also customer number & name will appear there.
Hope this helps. Else please come back.
    Thanks,
    Ram

  • Production List and Sales Order list on the basis of Sales Forecast - MRP

    Hi all,
One of our user wants to use MRP. what he wants is that he puts sales forecast in the system and in the basis of that sales forecast, 2 reports should be generated from system , one will tell that when production should be started to meet sales forecast for every finished good and 2nd report will tell that when sales orders should be created for raw materials to achieve sales forecast for every finished good.
Is that possible?? Please tell me in steps that how I should I proceed? what changes should be done in SPRO and in master data?
    Please respond.
    Best Regards,
    AI.

    Hi AL,
As such, this is a basic functioanlity of MRP.
Once you enter a forecast & take a MRP run system proposes, when to start the production based on the production leadtime &  purc.reqns for the raw materials based on the procurement lead time.
And the same can be viewed from various reports..FOr example MD04.
For this to work the MRP configurations should be valid.
Could you please confine your question to a specific query..?
    Thanks & regards

  • Material with  item cat.group ERLA impact on costing and sales pricing

    Hello,
I would like to know if a material which is defined as item category group ERLA and which has two sub-items posted in the BOM with usage 5 with its respective std cost could  be calculated for costing or not?
Can I have some information about the impact on  costing and pricing in sales?
    Thanks in advance
    AB

No the material type should be a FG : it is relevant for sales reporting. For example I call it material "A". In the material master data within the sales screen the item category group ERLA is assigned to "A" . The material A is a grouping material with a sales BOM which contains some sub-items for example B and C which are picked and shipped together. The grouping material is not handled as stock material: only the sub-items are stocked and moved.
The customer could  only require the material A with its price and receive phisically the two sub-items with a unique package unit or with two separate ones.
In this scenario the FG with ERLA item could be estimated for standard cost or not?
    Thanks in advance

  • LSMW AND UPLOADING PRODUCT TO PRODUCT CATALOG IN ISA

    Hello,
    1. How can I load product from Product Master to Product catalog ( internet sales) by using LSMW?
    2. How can I create catalog area and subarea automatically by using LSMW

With the preface that this is from working with CRM4 and I have no information on if this has changed in CRM2007...If someone knows if this has changed, please post.
In CRM4, you can not use an LSMW to create a PCAT or add items to it.  If you use the Automated catalog area instead of Both or Manual, you may be able to find a satisfactory result, but our data was so dis-organized we had to go with the Both option.
That said, if you are going to add images to the catalog, rather than the product master, you can use the ABAP Program (SE38) COM_PCAT_MASS_DOC_IMPORT to automate the loading of the images/documents to the catalog.  Doing this allows you to assign the Products to the Categories automatically as you're uploading the images at the same time.
However, if you've already assigned the images to the Product Master, you'll have images in both areas.
Again, this is for CRM4, I do not know if it's the same in CRM2007, but would be very interested to hear if it's changed so that I may plan accordingly for our upgrade.

  • How to create a product catalog in crm(by the end user of the system)?

how can we an end user create a product catalog?
what is the diff b/n prod cat and prod?
we download the prod from r/3.
how we get the prod cat done in crm for the customers and consumers and how it is done?
    thank you,

    hi
first of all we need to look at what is catalog management before proceding with product and product catalog.
You use this business scenario to create a centralized product catalog that contains product descriptions, multimedia objects, pricing, and associated literature. The catalog enables quick and easy customer access to timely and personalized product information, structured in such a way that most meets your customers needs.
Product catalogs are implemented in sales processes and are of particular importance in CRM Web Channel for presenting your products in the Web shop.
difference between the product and product catalog
this is not the thing that product and product catalog are completely different entity.
Product catalog :   A grouping together of products from your product master data, in a structured hierarchy.
You use product catalogs to group together products to present them in the Web shop, Interaction Center, or in other forms of media, for example printed format or CD-ROM.
You can create various catalogs for your products in the product master and use them according to a validity date. For example, you could use certain products for the summer season, and other products for the winter season.
You can also tailor your product catalog to meet other needs by creating catalog variants. For example, you can create a catalog in English with the prices displayed in US Dollars.
so by above definition it is very much clear that products are actually assign to the catalog,i will give you an analogy that museum is a kind of catalog and you add different pictures to the museum,in the same way you add product to the product catalog according to the acatlog variant.
Now how you assign product to product catalog
    Product Assignment
You assign products manually or automatically to a catalog area, depending on the catalog type. The product ID, product description, and status of all products is displayed, as is the information as to whether the item contains accessories or if it is a configurable product.
    Prerequisites
You have created products in your product master in SAP CRM under Accounts and Products
    Process
You select a catalog area in your product catalog, and edit the item list by assigning products to the area.
    Manual Assignment
You can assign products manually on an individual basis or by copying a catalog area. You tend to choose manual product assignment for marketing-oriented catalogs that are subjected to editorial controls.
          Individual assignment
In this case you select the catalog area in which the product should be assigned, manually search for the product in the product master, and assign it to the area.
          Copying items from catalog areas
You select an area or subarea from another catalog and copy it to your new catalog. The system copies all products from the copied area to the new catalog, as long as they belong to the distribution chain assigned to the target catalog variant. From these products, you can then manually determine which products from the copied area you want to keep and which items you wish to delete.
The following is true for manually assigned products:
You can activate or deactivate items on an individual basis.
You can edit the list of accessories for manually assigned products. The system determines which accessories are maintained for the product in the product master and displays them in the item area of the catalog. You select which accessories should be displayed for the product in the catalog and activate them.
Manually assigned products can be included or removed from catalog views on an individual basis.
    Automatic Assignment
You can assign products automatically to a catalog by transferring product hierarchies from your product master to the catalog areas. The categories, items, attributes, and documents contained in the product hierarchy are copied to the new catalog.
You use automatic product assignment mainly for functional catalogs, where products can be copied with very few changes, from the product categories of the product master. It enables a standardized characterization of your products in the catalog.
The following is true for products assigned to the catalog using product hierarchy transfer:
Product categories which make up the hierarchies become catalog areas in the catalog.
Product categories in the product hierarchy must be assigned to the distribution chain to which the target catalog variant is assigned. Otherwise the category is not transferred. The same applies to the items, texts, and documents assigned to the category.
Items are always active and cannot be individually activated or deactivated.
Accessories maintained for transferred product in the product master are automatically included and displayed in the catalog.
Transferred items cannot be individually included in catalog views or removed from them. Instead all items of the hierarchy are always contained in the view.
Lists of characteristics for transferred categories and items can be automatically created when transferring product hierarchies. The transferred values are included in the item overview of the product catalog.

  • Sold-to party 1000003 and sales area PECC/10/02 (for ZWEB) are incompatible

    Hello,
We're configuring SAP CRM 7.0 ISA with ERP Sales Order.
After login into ERP webshop, the system shows the error:
"Sold-to party 1000003 and sales area PECC/10/02 (for ZWEB) are incompatible"
    I've already checked the following:
    1) In Shopadmin: Combination of sales Area and Doc type in Webshop- IT's OK;
    2) In CRM System: Catalog used has the right sales area combination- IT's OK;
    3) In ECC System: If that document (ZWEB) is alowed to that sales area- IT's OK;
Does anyone can help with that??
    Thanks & Regards,
    Paulo Pela

    Hello Developer,
Yes, I've checked the combinations of webshop(In Shopadmin) and Product Catalog.(Sales Area)
    All of them are compatible.
    Hey DJ,
When you say: u201Cthe first entry maintained in the USAPPLREF tableu201Du2026.in our case, there are 2 entries for my user (PPELA3). The first one is for object type BUS1006001 and object key nr° 23263-my contact person, linked to sold-to nr° 1000003), which is the employee that I 've created in the ISAUSERADMIN.
The second entry is with object type KNA1 with object key nr° 1000003 (which is the sold-to).
Those are the only entries for my user in this table.
Does this sequence have the influence described by you? Is that what you want to say?
Other point: Does the REFERENCE CUSTOMER is important for the B2B scenario? (Our case) Since I thought it was important just for B2C scenarios, It was the same number in SHOPADMIN Webshop creation.
In the meantime, I will create a new reference customer and change the webshop parameters.
    Thanks for your inputs.
    Regards,
    Paulo Pela

  • Publishing Product Catalog without Images/Documents

    Hello Experts
I got a nice write-up ([link|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/PublicationofCatalog+Content]) mentioning that the web server is not required while replicating the Product Catalog and when no images are required.
But still for the activity - Setting Target for Publishing Catalog Contents, I would like to know the entries to be made when we do not need any document to be uploaded with product Catalog.
SPROCustomer Relationship Management  Master Data  Product Catalog  Set Targets for Publishing Catalog Contents
    Publish. target
    Host name
    HTTP port
    HTTP directory
    RFC destination
    FTP Port
    User name
    Password
    FTP directory
    Regards, Vishal

    Hello Vishal,
There are two process at work usually when you mention product catalog replication
    1. The Replication (creation of the TREX index)
    2. Publication of the catalog content this uses the function module COM_PCAT_IMS_PB_PUBLISH to publish the catalog content to a webserver.
If you do not wish to publish catalog content all you need to do is leave the "Publishing Computer ID" field blank during the replication process and the publication will not take place.
The configuration in Set Targets for Publishing Catalog Contents will be checked and used if you have decided to use the Publication.
    Regards

  • Fields required for linking production order with sales order

I need to link production order and sales order to get the part no#. need to see in md04.

The link between production order and sales order can be made by using the KDAUF KDPOS fields of AUFK or AFPO and linking them to VBELN and POSNR of VBAP.

  • Sales Order and Sales Item not copy over to table AFPO-KDAUF and AFPO-KDPOS

    Hi Expert,
May I know why I run MRP and convert planned order to production order based on Sales Order, why the sales order and sales item is not copied and save in table AFPO-KDAUF and AFPO-KDPOS?
I can see the sales order and sales item is appearing in MD04, but how is the linkage between production order and sales order/item?
    Thanks.

Sales order No. and sales line item will only be transfer to production order in MTO ( Make to Order) scenario.
If your scenario is MTO and the sales order reference is not getting  transfer, then check your requirement type and  requirement class setting in T.Code OVZH and OVZG.
In standard SAP 'KE' requirement type  40 requirement class is used  for MTO scenario.

  • Prod. order and sales order order link-MTS sceanrio

    Hi dudes,
My client is using both MTO and MTS scenarios,
to customize a report in costing they want link between production order and sales order. Its readily available in MTO sceanrio but in in Make-to-Stock scenario how to get this link.
Please if any enhancement or some other way to get it..
    thanks in advance...
    Robert.

    Robert,
I will assume that you have already informed your client that this report is nonsense (Make to Stock by definition cannot be linked reliably to a Sales order).  Oh well, the client is always right!
Make sure you include in your solution
    1.  How does he want to account for the business scenario where one production order ends up supporting more than one sales doc (and yes, it will happen).
    2.  How does he want to account for the business scenario where a production order is received to support Safety Stock (might not happen if he doesn't use SS)
    3.  How does he want to account for the business scenario where a production order is received to support a forecast, but there is not yet any sales doc (might not happen if he doesn't use forecasting)?
    4.  How does he want to account for the business scenario where the production order is received into stock, and the sales department decides to use the stock for a different sales order?
Item 4 would only be an issue if the report is run prior to the sales order being shipped.
    Regards,
    DB49

  • Steps to follow while extending a catalog (specifically for product catalog)?

I want to add some new properties to the products, to determine there type based on that i want to display different options on the product details page.
Can you please tell me how to extend the product catalog and what are the steps involved in it?

    Adding to Ricky,
Since u have not specified ATG version.
Go to ProductCatalog Repository in dyn/admin and see the definition file.ProductCatalog.xml is used for standard catalog and CustomCatalog.xml is used for custom catalog.
Extend that xml using configuration layering.
    Thanks,
    Nitin.
