  • How to add youtube video to flash

    I am still new to AS. Looking for a detailed tutorial/explanation on adding/embeding  a youtube video to flash.
    If anybody has a descent example that would work too. Also i would like the youtube video to play in the flash file.

    http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/flash_api_reference.html
    Quote from google api ref:
    Getting Started
    You can use a chromeless player or an embedded player in your  application. Both players support the same functions. However, the  embedded player displays standard controls, including a play/pause  button, a progress bar, a volume control, and more. The chromeless  player, on the other hand, does not display any controls, so you will  need to develop your own custom player controls in Flash.
    Loading the chromeless player
    If your application is using a chromeless player, use the  following URL to load the player in your application:
    http://www.youtube.com/apiplayer?version=3
    Loading the embedded player
    If your application is using an embedded player, use the  following URL to load the player in your application. In the URL,  replace the string VIDEO_ID with the 11-character YouTube video ID of the  video that the player will show.
    http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO_ID?version=3

    http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO_ID?version=3
    Heres some really quick code. You'll have to play with it but this will get you well under way:
    var myVideo:Loader = new Loader();
    Security.allowDomain("www.youtube.com");
    myVideo.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, showVideo);
    //myVideo.load(new URLRequest("http://www.youtube.com/apiplayer?version=3"));
    myVideo.load(new URLRequest("http://www.youtube.com/v/6U-sTcbZuq0&feature=rec-LGOUT-farside_rn-4r-1-HM" + "?version=3"));
    function showVideo(e:Event):void
         myVideo.x = stage.stageWidth * .5;
         myVideo.y = stage.stageWidth * .5;
         stage.addChild(myVideo);

  • How to show a MPEG4/H.264 video in Flash in an HTML page?

    Maybe my title isn't clear. I am hoping someone can shed some
    light on the h264 use in flash.
    Instead of displaying a progressive download .FLV video , I
    am trying to have an MPEG4 /h.264 approx. - a 30meg video display
    in flash in an .html page. Quicktime is easy to do, but Flash is my
    goal.
    I read several articles on h264 and flash 9, including this
    adobe
    H264 article but was hoping there might be an easier and maybe
    quicker solution. I did try renaming the .mp4 extension to .flv in
    dreamweaver but it did not display the video. (...unless it was
    downloading the video completely before displaying...not sure)
    There is a ton of sites, blogs and articles on h.264 and how
    flash 9 will display it...but when it comes to how one might
    actually have h.264 in flash on their own site...I am finding it
    difficult to figure out.
    Forgive my lack of action script and Flash knowledge...any
    direction is appreciated.
    Erick

    ...well I did follow that article on playing an h264/mpeg4
    video in flash. It works well, but how would you add playback
    controls?
    FLVPlayback component only allows you to source an FLV video
    not h264/mpeg4.
    This is probably a simple as3 answer...but I am not
    knowledgeable on as3 to know what code to add.
    Any suggests or direction that I should look would be great.
    In the meantime I am researching actionscript 3 to find and anwer.

  • Videos and flash player

    I want to add some videos in my blog , but I don't know  either users have to download flash player or they able to see the video without new version of flash player, I  want your suggestions on it .I still remember I have dowload some videos ,I was unable to see them just because of flash player missing,although I have realplayer.My blog is http://blog.paramedical.com.au/article/

    i think you might want to consider your audience and the type of devices they are accessing the site from. Obviously we know Flash wont work on the apple products so you'lll want to stay clear of directly loading flash video. However depending on your blog platform you might be able to just insert a Vimeo / youtube version instead thus allowing access onto much more devices. Check into your blog platform and see what it runs on. from there we can probably provide a better suited answer for your needs.

  • Publishing Videos and Flash PDFs

    How to publish a PDF with videos and flash within the file?

    If the media is embedded in the pages in InDesign you can export directly - choose Export > Adobe PDF (Interactive), and on the dialog box ensure that "buttons and media" is set to "include all".
    If you want to add the media after conversion, you can do it using Acrobat Pro, and the Flash/Video tool.

    '''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.

  • Video on flash timeline

    hello everyone,
    this maybe someone already asked, but i couldn't find any answer.
    so, i need to import a video to flash timeline not with playback, SO when i move around i can see the video in each frame than i can draw my animation effect on it . normal i will import flv, but "thanks" to cc 2014, even media encore no longer support flv, but flash still ask me to convert video to flv so i can add on to the timeline (logic?)
    than i 'm like ok i can work in photoshop, but it is not in vector,  so i can't really scale up and down cause the pixel edge will start to appear.
    could anyone gave me a solution of this? i don't even know how to find the cc with flv support anymore.....
    Thank you

    Then I misunderstood you. If you need to create an .flv video then you'll have to use an older copy of Adobe Media Encoder, 7.2 or earlier, or use Flash CS6, or use a third party application.
    I have also tried [OFFICIAL] iSkysoft | Video Converter, Video Downloader, DVD Creator
    There is a free online file transcoder, Zamzar - video converter, audio converter, image converter, eBook converter
    Both of these work and may suit your needs.

  • Adding Video to Flash as Background

    Hi!
    I am not sure if this is possible. But I want to add a video to an intro of a website, however, I want to be able to write over the top of it. And I don't want the navbar (that usually goes with vid clips) to appear.
    Is this possible?
    Cheers

    It might be possible but as you asked this question, I got one more to add up and that is, is it possible to have intro page in website and that page will not be crawl to search engine robots. And does page-load speed affects Page Rank as my flash website take 1 min approx to load. I read one Article on Page Load Speed Effects at Social Media Promotion blog.

  • Importing video into Flash --- can I get a Transparent background?

    I am using Flash CS3. I am importing a Quicktime video into
    Flash through File > Import > Import Video.
    Here's the problem, though. I need this video to be
    transparent. It appears that all videos imported into this method
    have a black background. It makes sense, because usually the video
    fills out the entire black area. However, with a video that needs
    to be transparent, the black background shows through.
    This movie will basically lay over a webpage, so the content,
    graphics of the site would be visible behind the video.
    What I'm trying to accomplish is very similar to what you see
    at the bottom of this page:
    http://rovion.com/Showcase/1800Flowers_demo.htm
    We've worked out the technology, however using the File >
    Import > Import video method adds a black background to the
    Flash file, rendering it solid, not transparent.
    Is there a way to remove this so the transparency is active?
    Thanks for any advice.
    Mark

    Mark,
    If the video was created with an alpha channel
    (transparency) then you have to choose the option to import the
    alpha channel in the video import wizard. If there is not an alpha
    channel, then you will get the black box. It might be possible to
    make the video a movie clip, and play around with the blend of it,
    but I don't think you'll have much luck. So, your first step is to
    figure out if the video was created and an alpha channel, then make
    sure you have the option selected when importing.

  • Importing video and Flash player 10 and above

    I am trying to add a video to a presentation, but I can only get it to play in Flash player 9, anything higher I get connection errors, or it refuses to play.
    I encoded the .mp4 with Adobe Encoder to a .f4v file, but it still won't play unless I'm using FP9.
    I am loading the video by going to Video > Insert Video, and I have tried Event and Multi-slide Synchro with no luck.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Kevin

    What all browser did you check your output on? Can you also check on a different machine, playing it locally.
    Can you try and set your CPLIBS files to the latest files available in the patch--
    Please try the patch available here -- incase you have not till now-- http://forums.adobe.com/message/4623434
    Let me know if this works?

  • How do i play my videos in flash file after moving SWF file to website?

    Hello all,
    I am having some problems showing my videos in flash after moving it anywhere besides my computer.
    I published my flash file once as a exe. file and sent it to another computer, where it all worked but my videos, which didn't show up at all.
    I also published them as SWF files, then put them up on my free website (where i don't have access to the ftp) and the videos still aren't there.
    The videos will play fine in an SWF file on my computer, but i am assuming when they are away from the videos, they don't have a source to access them.
    I also tried sending the videos along with the SWF files when sending to other computers and it still doesn't work.
    I now have a free hosted website (with wix.com if that makes any difference) with my flash work on, but no videos. I even tried to embed a youtube video into the scenes the videos are meant to appear, and put the videos on youtube, then i discovered you can't put that sort of HTML into flash.
    Does anyone know how to show the videos on these sort of website, or even better, how to keep them in original file when sending them, so they show on other computers.
    Sorry if I've waffled but I'm trying to clear up my situation .
    Any help would be super, many thanks,
    Flasher87

    i am using the website wix, so in order to put the swf file up you just click the "Upload SWF" button, so i don't know how i could put the videos along with the swf, the swf is just sat on the page once i upload it.
    second, when using this type of website do you know how i'd go about giving the website the permissions to play flv files?
    Thank you.

  • How do I add a video effect to multiple clips in my timeline at once?

    How do I add a video effect to multiple clips in my timeline at once?

    or... you can command click to select all the clips you want to apply the effect to, then double click the effect in the Effects browser. (PS - you can't simply drag and drop an effect on multiple clip selections, the effect will only be applied to the clip you drop it on -- but double clicking the effect will apply it to all selected clips at once.)

  • How do you add a video clip to a slide show?

    How do you add a video clip to a slide show using elements 12?

    You can import some very short video clips into Photoshop and make gifs.  I can import short (10 second or so) .mvi video clips I've taken with my point and shoot camera.
    Use File ->Import->Video Frames to Layers
    CS3 doesn't recognize .mvi files until you enter *.* in the box, hit load, then find the file you want.
    After the file has been loaded, go to Windows, and check Animation.
    After the Animation bar loads, go to the right side arrow, check Make Frames from Layers.
    Then Save for Web and Devices, and you've got your gif.
    I find it much easier to use the separate software.
