How 2 portlets can listen to each other

I have 2 portlets who need to communicate. If I assign the listenTo attribute of
each portlet to
the other's instance, it gives me an error asking for each action to be defined
in both the
portlets. Is there any other way of doing it .
Thanks,
Subadhra

Hi Subadhra,
Please refer to this link http://dev2dev.bea.com/codelibrary/code/portcomm.jsp
for an example on Inter-portlet communication.
This example is loads an html file in the second portlet, on click of a link on
the first. When the link is clicked on the first portlet, the link info is stored
in a PipelineSession object, and the second portlet loads the appropriate page
by retrieving this info from the PipelineSession object.
Hope that helps.

  • How to listen to each other when recording ?

    Hi there,
    I am now faced with another technical problem.
    I have 8 mics connected to each of the 8 singers.
    Each of the 8 has a headphone which enable them to listen to the instrumental when recording. But now, the singers said they need to listen to each other's singing (voice) so that they can time and mix their singing.
    How do I make them able to listen to each other singing ?
    Any solution to this ?
    Thanks

    Thanks HangTime,
    But how to open track info ?
    But I did a right click on the little dot at the left hand side of the track & saw a selection of Monitor off, Monitor On & Monitor On (No feedback protection). Do I turn this to Monitor On ?
    Assuming if the above is correct, if Track 1 to Track 8 are all vocals track to be recorded, and if I set Track 1 and Track 2 to "Monitor ON", that means all the 8 singers with headphones (Track 1 to 8) will be able to hear the vocal from singers in Track 1 and Track 2.
    Is my understanding of the above correct ?
    Thanks

I moved everybodies itunes media folder to the public music folder but when I open itunes I only see that accounts music. We need different itunes accounts. We share 1 computer but we have different user accounts on the computer.

    Adding media directly to the media folder does not make it appear in the library.  iTunes doesn't really 'look' at that folder except to go to specific files when you call upon them from a library. You have to drag new content to each user's library, that is assuming each user has their own library.

  • How to know which leaf node i click and how to add a listener to each node?

    hi! hello to all members, i have a problem i know how to create a listener, but i dont know how to add a listener to each leaf node. here is the scenario i want to do, i have a JTree where theres a topic that you can select on each leaf node, so when the user click the specific topic it will open another JFrame,which i dont know how to do it also, that its! the next problem will be how do i know which leaf node i select, so that i can open a right topic before the JFrame will open?please, i am very need this to solve quickly as possible. thanks again to all members.

    What you have to do is to add a mouse listener on your JTree. Try something like this:
    tree.addMouseListener(new java.awt.event.MouseAdapter() {
             public void mouseReleased(MouseEvent e) {
                tree_mouseReleased(e);
    private void tree_mouseReleased(MouseEvent e) {
          TreePath selPath = tree.getSelectionPath();
          // Check If the click is the Right Click
          if (e.isPopupTrigger() == true) {
          // This is your right Click
           else {
                     // This is your Left Click
    }Your other problem: Set the userObject on nodes and on left click compare it with your object, if it matches, display the appropriate file. Alternatively, if your nodes are unique, you can match the names to open the file.
    Hope this Helps

  • Computers can't see each other

    I posted this first in the iTunes area, because I was trying to figure out how to make Home Sharing work, but my troubleshooting is leading me to believe I have a networking / Time Capsule issue instead of an iTunes problems. Here's the situation as I was trying to get Home Sharing working between two Macs:
    Both computers are running latest Snow Leopard version. (10.6.3)
    Both computers have firewall OFF.
    Both computers have file sharing ON.
    Both computers connected to the same wireless (dual) network managed by Time Capsule (computer 1 is "g" computer 2 is "n")
    Using Terminal to ping computer 1 (10.0.1.6) from computer 2 (10.0.1.4) results in timeouts.
    Using Terminal to ping computer 2 from computer 1 results in timeouts.
    Now engage Computer 3
    Using latest version of Leopard (10.5.8)
    Firewall OFF.
    File Sharing ON
    Connected to same Time Capsule, ("n").
    Using Terminal, Computer 3 (10.0.1.8) can successfully ping both computer 1 and computer 2.
    So, my Leopard machine can talk to both Snow Leopard machines successfully, but neither Snow Leopard machine can talk to each other. HUH???
    Anybody got any ideas?

    Never got an answer or resolved the problem. I'm calling it "answered" just to clear out my unresolved questions folder.

  • I get but not the app. store in my doc. App. store is not installed, how do I do it for each other? I have my apple software update.

    Hello,
    I get but not the app. store in my dock.
    App. store is not installed, how do I do it for each other?
    I have my apple software update.
    App.store app but after my update is not in the dock and system.
    Kees.

    Hi Kees ...
    Your profile indicates you are running Leopard v10.5.8
    You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard V10.6 in order to use the App Store. This is an "upgrade", not an "update".
    Make sure your Mac meets Snow Leopard's requirements here.
    You must have the minimum of v10.6.6 installed in order to access the App Store.
    You can purchase Snow Leopard here > Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store

  • I have one Itunes account for myself and children.  Can we facetime each other on different devices?

    I have one Itunes account for myself and my children.  Can we facetime each other on different devices?

    Yes, you can.
    See here: https://www.apple.com/ios/facetime/

  • Can my husband and I share purchases on itunes, even if we have different apple ID's? Can we sync each other's devices to our itunes account?

    Can my husband and I share purchases on itunes, even if we have different Apple ID's? Can we sync each other's devices to our itunes accounts? Before we had it so that, he had the itunes account and synced my iphone to it as a named device, but the problem was, when I used to send imessages, it looked like it was from my husband and not me!

    You can set up Messages and Facetime separate from your husband and still use the same iTunes to sync things like music, movies, Apps, etc.
    To do this though, you need to get your own Apple ID. You then use your Apple ID to set up Messages and Facetime under your account. This way your Messages and Facetime calls will come from your account and your husbands from his.
    And you will still be able to sync the devises on the same iTunes account.

  • 2 Mac can not see each other via airdrop under the same airport/timecapsule.

    I have 2 iMac in my home with a TImeCapsule (gen4).
    The wifi is on both 2.4G and 5G with the same SSID.
    iMac A is working on 2.4GHz, iMac B is working on 5GHz.
    So they can not see each other via airdrop, meanwhile they can see each other  in the left panel of Finder.app
    Is it a known issue of AirDrop?

    Hi Kirby Zhou,
    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
    It sounds like you would like to utilize file sharing between computers, not necessarily AirDrop. Please refer to the attached article for information on the file sharing process. If this is not what you are looking for, please let me know.
