How can I contact a representative of Verizon to help me cancel my contract so I can switch carriers to get a phone that is reliable and a Co. that supports its products? Verizon seems to have many blocking scripts or dead ends when trying tio contact someone who can help the customer. How can I get around the blocks and get to someone who can directly answer my questions? I have one of those "hot" phones that were recently seen on the news, yet no one seems to be able to help me resolve the issue. I have no idea where this comment goes, or who reads it?

The phone is your responsibility, if it's before the 1 year warranty you can get defects fixed by the Manufacturer of the phone. If you want to leave pay your termination fee, or find a carrier who claims they will do it but don't really expect it to happen either.

Willy, the procdedure you describe works perfectly for AppleTV G1. In fact, I frequently play DTS music discs ripped to my iTunes library as Apple Lossless (ALAC) and synched to the ATV. What happens is that, as far as iTunes and the ATV are concerned, a conventional stereo 16/44 audio file is being played; however my reciever detects the DTS data stream, and instead of outputting static, it decodes the 5.1 channels correctly. This process parallels the way DTS discs were designed to be played back: a conventional CD player is connceted, via digital out, to a DTS-aware reciever/pre-amp and the two channels of static are recognized as 6 channels of DTS-encoded audio.
However this process will only work if the player (CD, ATV, PC, etc.) sends a "bit-perfect" 16 bit/44.1 khz data stream to the decoding device. In the case of ATV G2 and G3, as has been discussed elsewhere, the unit resmaples all audio - including 16/44 PCM (Redbook CD) - to 16/48. While this is not a big deal for conventional audio CDs, MP3s, and AAC files, it mangles the fragile DTS datastream and renders it undecodable. The resulting static that you hear is just like the static you would hear if you played a DTS CD on a non-DTS capable system.
Sadly, I'm not aware of any easy way around this. You could use a program like Foobar (and the DTS plugin) to convert your DTS CDs to 6-ch .wav or .flac file. From there you could transcode the file to AC-3 and then mux it into a video container that ATV supports. You may need add a dummy video track, for iTunes/AppleTV to be ok with the file, though I'm not sure. This may be a lot of work.
Sorry for the bad news. I wish that the iTunes/ATV ecosystem had better multi-channel audio support.

Regards. I installed Flash Player 11, and then the 11,1 version and is truly horrible. I have uninstalled the 11 version and then tried to download (fdirectly from this boards) and Install the 10.3 and once it finished downloading, when it is set to start the installation, i get the message that the flash 10.3 cannot be installed because there is a newer version, that i should install that one, and so doe not let me Install the 10.3 version, and i am an NHL Gamecenter Subscriber and NFL Game Pass subscriber and live streaming video is horrible in the 11 version, is half speed, it looks crooked and on a bad resolution when i click the Full Screen button and none of those happened with the old 10.3 version. Please if someone can help me. Thank you very much in advance!
I've also experiencing the same issue on one of our freash computer builds today (never had Flash 11.x.x.x in it before). This computer had Flash 10.1.x.x installed (not 11.x.x.x), I tried to install 10.3.183.10 and a pop-up window comes up saying: "The version of Adobe Flash Player that you are trying to install is not the most current version. Please visit the Player Download Center to obtain the latest, most secure version.". The link takes you to the latest Flash 11.x.x.x patch.
I then uninstalled 10.1.x.x, rebooted the machine and tried to install 10.3.183.10 and got the same error message. Next I copied 10.3.183.11 to a local dir on the machine and tried to run it but it gives me the same error as above.
I've patched a couple of other machines that had 10.3.183.10 to .10.3.183.11 w/ out any problems though. -
This morning I was just getting the white screen with logo and status bar with fan running. I thought it was an issue with the power adapter so I went out and replaced it. MBP will start now, but won't connect to internet. I have full wi-fi signal. Also, when I try to launch iTunes, it just quits right away. Please help?

1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.

I ordered my 'unlimited broadband+free weekend call' package. It was supposed to work ~10 days ago. Now it still doesn't work after frustrating contact to the **bleep** phone service. So I'd rather quit the service.
What I was told is that I have to pay for around 310 pounds for that (my contract is 18 month). I totally understood that one should pay some money if he cease the contract before the fixed time. But for my case, it was because BT couldn't offer their service, then I chose to quit. How should I pay for this money? Who should pay for the time I have waisted on the **bleep** service?It becomes muddier as the OP appears to have also ordered a phone package as well which should have been activated - the broadband presumably quickly followed albeit not working.
The OP could argue that although the service may have been activated the non performance of the broadband could void the contract assuming there was no operative connection - for anybody (except BT) knows it could have been ok for an hour then failed. -

I installed new update and have had the connect to iTunes all day. I got home connected to iTunes and it said my phone couldn't be updated it needed restored to factory settings. I was reluctant to lose everything so I ignored this and clicked update. After it installed it said to restore again. Again I ignored it and this time it updated my phone and my phone turned back on with everything there.
So glad I ignored the previous messages asking me to restore! You could try this if you have iTunes and don't want it restored to factory settings. -

Is it possible that you are using the same password for the old O2 Study and newer O2 Apple Base Station networks?
If so, Keychain Access is storing the old information about the old network and may be associating it with your AirPort Extreme settings based on the BSSID that William has mentioned.
If that's the case, open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > KeyChain Access and look for a listing with the old network name. Delete this entry. You may need to power down both the computer and the AirPort Extreme and restart them. -
My I phone 5 locked on me during an update to IOS 8. Nothing is happening at all. I have a frozen picture of the power cord and a red circle that says itunes.
What happened is the update forced your phone into recovery mode. There's been a lot of issues with this, but the only thing you can do is plug the phone into iTunes and do a restore on it. Hopefully you have a backup so you can restore your information.

You can reload your data from your most recent backup. If you backup at least weekly, you would only lose anything added since that backup.

I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck
