How can i capture system time in an infoobject

Hi
Can I get the current system time and date into infoobjects?? if yes how??
Regards
Sujai

Hi
i guess i wasn't clear with the requirement.
the data is going to be entered in the infoObject manually thru the infoObject maintenance screen (RSD1), i will not be able to put the code in the transformation since there is no transformation at all.
I wanted to know if i could populate the fields without the user's help in keying in the values for the date and time  attributes.
can i acheive this thru a custom coversion routine???
Hope i am clear this time.
Regards,
Sujai

    Current time: System.currentTimeMillis. Date instances are not supposed to be updated.

  • How can i get current time of a given timezone

    how can i get current time of a given timezone
    for example: Asia/Hong_Kong
    my code is like this, but the result is not correct.
    what's wrong?
    import java.util.*;
    public class test {
    public static void main(String[] args){
              String s = "Asia/Hong_Kong";
              String tempS = "";
              TimeZone myTime = new SimpleTimeZone(s);
              //TimeZone myTime = TimeZone.getTimeZone(s);
              Calendar myCal = new GregorianCalendar(myTime);
              tempS = myCal.get(Calendar.YEAR)+"-"+
                        (myCal.get(Calendar.MONTH)+"-"+
                        myCal.get(Calendar.DATE)+" "+
                        (myCal.get(Calendar.HOUR)+":"+
                        myCal.get(Calendar.MINUTE)+":"+
                        myCal.get(Calendar.SECOND);
              System.out.println(tempS);
    output is : 2001-7-15 11:16:48
    but the correct time should be: 2001-8-16 7:17:48
    the correct time should be 2001-8-16

    Certain indexes in the Calendar API start at 0 rather then 1, so, when you get the value, you may want to increment.
    I'm not sure why the time is incorrect. You may want to call getAvailableIDs() and make sure that the desired TimeZone ID is supported by your version. I doubt that Sun would have incorrect support for the time zone, but it may not be included, or perhaps it is included with a diffrent ID. You can always create your own time zone as well, by passing the String offset to getTimeZone(), the offset being how many hours beyond or before GMT. Hopefully this helps.

  • How can I get my Time Capsule to show up in finder?

    How can I get my Time Capsule to show up in finder?

    An alternate, and simpler method for most users is to open any Finder window, then look for the Time Capsule icon under the Shared heading on the left side of the window.
    When you click on the Time Capsule icon, a folder......named "Data", unless you have changed the name of the drive.....will appear to the right.
    Double-click "Data" to mount the Time Capsule drive on the desktop, where you can now drag/drop or copy/paste data to the drive.
    If the Time Capsule does not appear under the Shared heading when you open a Finder window......then you are likely using the Yosemite operating system on your Mac, and it will take some work to find it.
    In that case, Niel's method might be the better way to go.

  • How can i navigate system preferences if trackpad is not working  somehow the option were unchecked

    How can i navigate system preferences if trackpad is not working?
    Somehow the first couple of trackpad functions were unchecked and since they are not operational I can't click or tap to turn them back on.
    I've tried shutting down and restarting and holding my hand on the trackpad for 3-4 sec. then sliding it off (another post had this suggestions).
    I don't use the function keys at all to navigate the computer so I am at a total loss if the trackpad does not work.

    Thanks for the response.
    Unfortunately this did not work - the tap to click is still not checked - and the tap function does not work.
    I did try it twice - and even used a stopwatch to be sure I got the time right.
    I noticed there is also an instruction to reset PRAM (was with the SMC reset instructions).  Is that something that may help?

    Its easy to take an iPad screenshot. Press & release the Home and the Power buttons quickly at the same time. I have trouble with that so I press & hold the Home button and then very quickly press and release the Power button. Your screenshot is stored in the Camera Roll of the Photos app. Probably the easiest way to get it to your PC is to be using iCloud, or email it to your PC. There are also some wireless sync apps in the iTunes app store that let you send photos from the iPad to a Mac or PC. I use PhotoSync.

  • Oracle Trigger - How can I capture and correct on the fly  ORA-01847

    Oracle Trigger - How can I capture and correct on the fly ORA-01847 day of month must be between 1.
    I have a table that has a date column. Sometimes an invalid date is passed and I'd like to capture and initilize the incoming value to null and have it inserted without error. Currently I get ORA-01847 day of month must be between 1.
    Example:
    create table ep1
    col_1 number,
    col_2 date
    Now if a user does the following, I want no error to occure but rather for the date value to be set to null and inserted.
    insert into ep1 values('1', '41-JAN-13')
    The insert may come from any client and I can't change the calling code hence can't used a precedure to replace the insert. I'm guessing there is some way to catch system level exceptions on the DB level. This doesn't need to be nice, it just needs to work.
    Here is the question on experts exchange. I'm told there is no way, but there must be. After all the exception is on a DB system level and I would think one could extend or override these, or disable them.
    http://www.experts-exchange.com/Database/Oracle/PL_SQL/Q_23045306.html

    SQL> declare
      2     wrong_month      exception;
      3     pragma exception_init (wrong_month, -1843);
      4  begin
      5    begin
      6      insert into emp (empno, hiredate)
      7      values (2345,to_date('13/25/81','MM/DD/YY'));
      8    exception
      9      when wrong_month then
    10      dbms_output.put_line('I caught the bad month');
    11      insert into emp (empno, hiredate)
    12      values (2345,null);
    13    end;
    14  end;
    15  /
    I caught the bad month
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL>
    SQL> select * from emp
      2  where empno = 2345;
         EMPNO ENAME      JOB              MGR HIREDATE         SAL       COMM     DEPTNO
          2345Note the 1843 error vice 1847. It can be done outside of a trigger.

  • How can i get system variable using java

    Hi,
    I just want to know how can i get system variables using java code.
    for example i want to get the the date for today or i want to get the number of processes that's running.
    Thanks alot

    Hi,
    I just want to know how can i get system variables
    using java code.
    for example i want to get the the date for today or i
    want to get the number of processes that's running.
    Thanks alotSome generic "system variables" are available though Java, usually through the System class.
    Date today = new Date();
    is instantiated with the current date and time.
    Other system values, like environment values, should be passed to java through the command line (-D option) by setting system properties.
    Finally, platform specific values like the number of processes running will have to be written in platform specific code and executed by JNI (java native interface).
    Java is platform or system agnostic. Common system values, like time, are implemented. Hopefully you won't need platform specific values.

  • Can i change system time using java

    hi guys can i change system time using java iam doing one app in that i have to change the system time (my os is windowsXP) please tell me how to change the time

    What does this have to do with Swing?
    Well, there is no Java API that I'm aware of.
    However you can execute any Windows command by using the Runtime class. So you should be able to invoke the Time command.
    Search the Java Programming forum. There are plenty of examples on using the Runtime.exec(...) command.

    How can I use my time capsule with windows7?

    This is asked regularly.

    Look at the more like this. On the right column next to the post.
    Load airport utility for windows.. which will also load bonjour for windows.
    In windows explorer type \\TCname or \\TCipaddress (replacing with the actual values.. names with spaces will give you trouble so change all names in the TC to SMB compatible or actual ip address).

  • After a clean install, how can I continue using Time Machine?

    After a clean install, how can I continue using Time Machine?
    I booted from my recovery partition, erased my HD, installed the same OS, (Lion, 10.7.5) then restored from my TM.
    If it asks if i want to use TM, I say yes. When I chose the drive, it seems to want to start all over, instead of just picking up where I left off.
    Is there any way of picking up where I left off?

    Hi Frank,
    You are sure you looking in your Library in /Users/YOUR_USERNAME/Library and not /Library at the top level of your harddrive?
    When you open iCal what do you see?  Are the calendars the two default Home and Work ones?
    I really appreciate the responses -- especially if you are in the UK as opposed to Ontario.
    Why, do you have something against London Ontario?
