How can I do a factory recovery on my PC?

Hello there,
My name is Kyle and I own a Lenovo K430-31092JU desktop PC.  I want to completely swipe my computer and start fresh at factory settings.
I don't have a recovery disc (or partition drive), so I'm wondering how I can do this.
Is this something I can do on my computer?  Do I burn a disc?  Should I buy a disc?  How do I get my computer back to how it was when I first pulled it out of the box?
Thanks SO MUCH!!!!!!

Hello and welcome,
I think you have a Windows 7 machine.  Take a look at page 20 of (English) User Guide V1 for OneKey Recovery instructions.  If you have a Win 8 machine, page 24 of (English) User Guide V2 .

  • How can I create a new recovery key if you automatically removed my trusted device after update do iOS 8?

How can I create a new recovery key if you automatically removed my trusted device after update do iOS 8?

    Hey -
I need to do the EXACT same thing, but have no idea how. Has anyone out there done this?
My situation is a tad different..this is a new Mac (and I'm a brand new Mac user). Tons of querks occur under my original account (videos won't run, Safari won't support certain plug-ins). I spent 6 hours on the phone w/ 4 different Apple Reps and nobody could fix it. A rep finally looked at my MacBook Pro in person today. He created a new account just to see if that would work and under that new account, everything works perfectly fine (no querks, can view video). He tried switching a million settings in my original account to no avail.
He said to create a new account (as he did) and move my files over to the new account and then go back to the original and delete it. How do you do this?! I can't figure it out! I've got a new account created, but of course it just has the default folders in it w/ the little red icons next to them! Thanks in advance!

my ipod touch 5 gen still in recovery mode how can i get out in recovery mode? i update it in ios 6.2 while my itouch is in jailbrake

Google "DFU mode", put it in that mode and Restore it in iTunes.
    And stay away from jailbreaking.

  • How can I get out of recovery mode?

How can I get out of recovery mode without restoring my iPod?

    Try using Yamipod.
    http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/downloads/
Make sure iTunes is closed before you use yamipod.
Another issue I have heard about if are in Windows is a Parental Controls conflict with iTunes and your iPod trying to access the iTunes Server for the Restore Software Update.
Make sure there are no firewalls blocking it if you are on a Mac.
Try that, if not, post again.

  • I have purchase iphone4 from someone,it is not factory unlock ,how can i get it factory unlock, its safari not working and its not showing drive on my computer

i have purchase iphone4 from gray market,it is not factory unlock, how can i get it factory unlock,
its safari not working and it is not showing drive in my computer.

iPhones are sold in carrier-locked and unlocked versions. If the phone has a carrier lock on it, you must contact the carrier to have it removed (you probably need to bring the phone to the carrier for the process). If you don't know the carrier, you won't be able to get it unlocked. US carriers will not remove the carrier lock and it cannot be removed.
How is Safari behaving that makes you say that Safari is not working? The lock status of the phone won't affect Safari, except that if the phone is locked and you aren't using the carrier (and SIM provided by the carrier) to which it is locked, then you can't use the phone or 3G service, only Wi-Fi.
The iPhone should not appear as a drive on your computer, so there's no error there.

  • How can i do a factory reset in snow leopard without the disk to start off new without losing my other programs

how can i do a factory reset on snow leopard without the disk to start off new without losing my programs?

You can't. You will need a Snow Leopard disc. You can purchase replacements for your computer from Apple:
Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 or visit online Help for more information.
To contact product and tech support: Apple - Support - Contact Apple Support.
A "factory reset" means you erase the drive securely. All of your files will be removed permanently. I suggest you make a backup:
Clone using Restore Option of Disk Utility
      1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder.
      2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
      3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
      4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag
it to the Destination entry field.
      5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
          the Source entry field.
      6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

  • I have an ipod touch and dont know the password and also no longer have the computer used to sync the ipod. How can I do a factory reset to start over completely?

I have an IPod touch and it had a password on it. I cant remember the password and do not have the computer anymore that I used to sync to iTunes. The message that I get is "iTunes could not connect to iPod Touch because it is locked with a passcode. You must eneter your passcode  on the iPod touch before it can be used with iTunes."
How can I go back to factory setting (knowing that I will lose what is on the IPod) and use a different iTunes account.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

  • Can't create a factory recovery disk using the recovery partition that came with my computer

When I push the Q: recovery drive> Create recovery media, I get a message saying
"Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\factory recovery\recovburncd.exe'. Make sure you types the name correctly, and then try again."
How do I go about fixing this and creating a recovery disk?

You can purchase replacements from AppleCare:
Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 or visit online Help for more information.
To contact product and tech support visit online support site.
However, you might want to consider upgrading to Snow Leopard - $29.00 at any local Apple retailer or the Online Store. This may actually be less costly than purchasing replacement discs, although the replacement discs will have the Apple Hardware Test that is not going to be on the Snow Leopard DVD, nor will any of your pre-bundled software.

  • Can't perform a Factory Recovery on Thinkpad Twist

    Hello.
    Please excuse my bad English.
I had a few problems with my 3 mouth old Thinkpad Twist.
After a blue screen (some kernel page errors, I can't remember witch error), my PC couldn't boot at all, I was stuck at boot menu (the one you get when you press F12 on boot).
I performed some of the Lenovo test tools for hardware and memory, and had to recover about 2000 bad sectors, the operation took about 6 hours, and I also got an error at next boot (Image failed to verify with *ACCESS DENIED*), I got rid of it by disabling secure boot.
I used another windows 8 ISO on a USB key to try some repair tools, it didn't work, now I get a blue screen saying that my ntfs.sys file is corrupted, but I managed to backup my data.
Now I'd like to perform a Factory Recover, but I can't boot on the Recovery partition, I press F11, then the screens stays black for a while, and the PC restarts, just like when I wasn't able to boot on my windows. (I couldn't boot on the factory recover partition at the beginning too).
I didn't back up my Recovery partition on a USB key, maybe I can still copy it to an USB key and boot on it? I can access the partition via the command prompt on my windows 8 USB key, but I'm not sure how to copy the partition on another key.
I'm going to send my computer back to get repaired (I'm assuming I have some kind of hardware problem), but I'd like to know if there is anything left to do.
    Thanks.

  • How can I boot from my recovery dvd to reach the system recovery C: on a extern hard disc

I think a have a virus in my notebook Pavilion 15 and want to restore my C partition with a system back up. I made this system back up a month ago and it is stored on a extern hard disc. I have also made a recovery dvd. How can I boot my notebook from my dvd to start the procedure? I have 2 partions on my notebook. The second partition contains My Documents.
    Thanks in advance.
    Tineke

It is unlikely that the back-up of the system recovery, that you have stored on an external drive, will be useful in recovering your computer. Please see HP PCs - Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8), for instructions on using the HP Recovery Disc set your created earlier. Typically, the disc set is 4 to 6 DVDs.

  • How can I buy a factory unlocked iPad mini without restriction of buying it with a cellular line?

I need to buy an iPad mini via the apple website which is factory unlocked, but the option I am getting is to buy it with a cellular line of which I will be tied to use only that line.
How can I proceed with this purchase?

Easily, you cannot.  You can buy an unlocked iPad within a country in which an iPad is unlocked - Thailand, for example.

Is your question here, in regard to email issues you asked about...?
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6033681?tstart=0
If these are related, then one may supersede the other; at least
until you can get the email &/or Apple ID issue squared away.
And then deauthorize your computer, etc & reset it to original.
