How can I findout the coulm value contains 0 through 9 for the table

could u plz suggest me how can I findout the coulm value contains <> 0 through 9 for the table...

Well I am going to give it a shot, because I believe I am looking for the same thing.
I have a value that is of type varchar2. How can I determine if it has special characters or alpha characters in it? In other words, I only want the value to consist of numbers. (Initially it had been thought that Letters would be used as well, but now they just want numbers and the datatype of the column cannot be altered since there is data in it.)
I have gotten this far, but I do not know what else I can use besides '[:alpha:]'? I cannot seem to find this documented anywhere...I can find the regexp package reference, but not the character classes...
select regexp_instr('1a23456', '[[:alpha:]]',1,1,1, 'i') x
from dual
This works fine = returns 3, so I know there is an alpha character.
select regexp_instr('1$23456', '[[:alpha:]]',1,1,1, 'i') x
from dual
This returns 0 - what do I need to change so that it detects the '$' and returns 3?
Thanks!!

    We are upgrading from 8.3 to 9.2. How can i get the table(record) structure changes between these 2 versions. I am not able to find it in Oracle support.

    My guess is you want to upgrade HR8.3 to 9.2 - and that is not one jump upgrade. You will need to go HRMS 83 to 90
    (PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS 8.3x to 9.0 Upgrade (Doc ID 747333.1) and then 90 to 92 (PeopleSoft Human Capital Management 9.0 to 9.2 Upgrade Home Page (Doc ID 1536087.1)
    Each these MOS pages contains the Demo to Demo Compare Reports that show the data structures changes between the releases.
    Hope it helps.

    ORA-00904:"GL_TEAT";invalid identifier.spelling mistake?
    Is user APPS owner of the table GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS?
    If not, you need to grant the necessary privilege directly and not through a role

  • Hi. How can I delete the table without deleting the content? My pages is 5.2.2.

    Hi. How can I delete the table without deleting the content? My pages version is 5.2.2. Thank you for your help.

    There is no convert Table to text capability in Pages v5.2.2, as there was in Pages ’09 v4.3.
    You can keep the table while making the table grid vanish, leaving the existing tabular text structure. Select the table, and under the Format panel > Table tab, the following settings will produce this output. If selected, you can refine its document placement in the Arrange tab.

  • JPA - How can I use the table's default Date types? e.g. CURRENT_TIME

    Once again, can't find an answer anwhere.
    I would like to know if/how one can use the default date/time/datetime types as declared for the target table when attempting to persist an entity having these fields set as null.
    create table item
         item_id INTEGER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY DEFAULT AUTOINCREMENT,
         date_created DATETIME NOT NULL DEFAULT NOW(*),
         date_updated DATETIME NOT NULL DEFAULT NOW(*),
    );Now how can I get the above table to work when attempting to em.persist(myItem) whereby dateCreated and dateUpdated are both null?

    I should also mention that TopLink has always supported the ability to retrieve the current time from the database for use in optimistic locking. The TimestampLockingPolicy offers the ability to configure the next value being retrieved from the database instead of using the local time from the JVM. Our extended optimistic locking configuration does not currently support setting this option but it could be done using a descriptor customizer which can be configured in your persistence unit properties.
    Using optimistic locking may be a good solution for the last modified date since it will also ensure that you do not corrupt the database if someone else has incremented this value since your last read.

  • How can we get the table name...

    Hi All,
    How can we get the actual table name for an argument if its datatype is %ROWTYPE.
    For Ex :
    function ACCOUNT_UPDATE (account_no number,
    person person%rowtype,
    amounts dbms_describe.number_table,
    trans_date date)
    return accounts.balance%type;
    In the above function 'ACCOUNT_UPDATE', for argument person the datatype is 'person%rowtype'.
    Is there any way to get the name from Data Dictionary tables.
    I tried using All_Arguments and DBMS_DESCRIBE, I can able to get all the individual fields of %ROWTYPE by I could not able to know the exact table name thru the DD.
    my requirement is dynamically I need to declare a variable for the argument datatype.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • How can we lock the table?? how can we lock the record

    Hi
    how can we lock the complete table?? how can we lock the record ?/
    Thanks
    Rama

    Lock objects are used to lock the database table while making the modifications on the database table.
    you can create your own lock objects using SE11.
    if you create lock objects on any table system will create two function modules.
    1.ENQUEUE....
    2.DEQUEUE.....
    first one is used to lock the table
    second one used to removing lock on the table.
    lock Table
    CALL FUNCTION 'ENQUEUE_E_TABLE'

    tabname = table_name

    foreign_lock = 1
    system_failure = 2
    OTHERS = 3.
    Unlock Table
    CALL FUNCTION 'DEQUEUE_E_TABLE'

    For the schema that you've logged in to, you could do something like this:

    test@XE> --
    test@XE> set serveroutput on size 1000000
    test@XE>

      9      if (n_count = 0) then
    10        dbms_output.put_line(rec.object_name);
