How can I get a book to open that is downloaded on my Ipad 3, I have uninstalled, reinstalled. Held the turn off button and home button down to reboot, nothing has helped.
How can I get a book to open in my nook app, it downloaded, and installed, it just want open, I have never had this problem before.
This is entirely my complaint.
I have to sit without useable internet for 5 days when there is no fault, before anyone does anything about it ? BT visit the village to do something for another customer, mess up my perfectly working broadband, and then refuse to do anything about it for 5 days. And I pay full price during that time. Let's just hope they don't come back to do something else within those 5 days !!!
There isn't a fault with the line, it is perfectly stable. I just need somebody to use common sense and set the IP profile back to what it was.
If the system is so clever, it could at least try moving off 135k to 512k say after an hour or so.
I will try using that link though and see if somebody can do something !!
Frustrated is not the word ! If I ran my business like this I'd have no customers left. I'm pretty sure that's not the first time somebody has posted that on here

What happens when you try to play the actual film ? And have you tried deleting them and (assuming that they're still in the store) redownloading them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page - or going into Edit > Preferences and on the Store tab ticking the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tick box so that they show in the My Movies part of your library with a cloud icon against it for redownloading) ?
(You can't store films in the cloud, whether they will show there for redownloading depends upon what country that you are in - and if you move countries or if the rights-holder removes them then you also won't be able to redownload them. Ideally you'd be taking a backup copy of all of your downloads, and not relying on being able to redownload them in the future.) -
How can I get all my songs (from CDs) onto my laptop from my Nano?
Do I have to rip all those CDs again even though they are on the Nano?
I thought I was allowed to have multiple PCs and use the sync feature. Yet when I plug in the Nano the message says it will sync to what's on my laptop which are only a few songs I've purchased!!
I thought Apple was better than that?! And to think I was going to purchase an iPad! But if I can't synch my music to other devices, why bother.

It sounds like you would like to send a text from your phone number on your portable computer. You can do this by setting iMessage to start new conversations from your phone number in the Messages settings:
On OS X, find out which addresses are enabled:

I bought and downloaded some music off of the internet on my laptop that uses Windows 8. How can I get my music to open automatically in my itunes instead of opening in the music app (the orange sqaure with headphones)? Currently I have had to often downloads and sift through all my files to find the ones I want to open into itunes, and it's irritating.
Media is only where the user puts it.
Installing iTunes does not and has never caused media to magically appear on the computer.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer (or backup of the old computer) to the new computer. -
How can I get my books that I download from the Library that are WMA files into my I tunes so I can listen to them. They have a ton of books but I can only listen to them from my windows media player and I wouldlove to download to my I pod but I have tried everything I can think of it they won't go over. Well it started happening AGAIN with my 2nd IPod. No matter what I did, it Itunes would NOT restore it!
I finally installed Itunes on my hubby's PC at work and managed to get it restored there.
Apparently, there must be some sort of compatibility issue with the windows version of Itunes and some other piece of software on my pc.
And one more important thing! I had to follow the instructions in the other thread that talks about how to correctly uninstall itunes and quicktime, in order to completely eliminate ALL traces of my "first" ipod's existence so it wouldn't demand that I restore it.
I think the software got "confused" and thought when I connected my 2nd ipod, that it was the 1st and that it still needed to be restored.
Basically, this is just POORLY written and POORLY tested software! -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

Yeah, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to sign your friend's iTunes sign-on into iTunes, and then use that to download the books. You may need to also authorize your computer in iTunes with that ID in order to be able to re-download them to your device if you ever need to (not sure if this is absolutely required since most things live in the cloud now, but better to be safe than sorry.... ).

The odd thing is that my colleague and me use the same release mountain lion and we received the same email from someone on Outlook2007. He received the mail with the attachment, whilst I saw a "Winmail.dat". It already happened to me on snow-leopard, some month ago. Up til today I don't know what the difference between our machines is.
But it is interesting: the same OS, the same mail-clients (Apple Mail) and still different results.
Note: on my machine it used to work properly. It just suddenly happened that I started to receive winmail.dat files in stead of proper attachments.
When I have more time on hand, I cant try to find out why this happens. -

Well, you can go to Window>Welcome and make your change there, but the welcome screen leaves a process always running, so you would do better to go into the Program Files or Program Files (x86) in windows or the applications folder on a mac and find the actual .exe/application for the organizer and make a desktop shortcut/dock icon and use that in the future to launch the organizer, avoiding the welcome screen entirely.
