How can I keep the favicons in the bookmark toolbar from resetting to blank pages after closing and restarting Firefox?

I only use favicons in the toolbar -- no text. In this version the favicons reset. In an older version of Firefox that I never updated, the favicons always stayed put and never changed.

You can try to keep some items. I don't know which you would need to keep. Firefox won't reload favicons in [[Private Browsing]] mode, so you won't get them back once the favicons are gone.

Sorry, I don't know. But have you already tried selecting your sig and using the usual alignment tools? It seems to work for me when used in the new message pane.

I'm not sure about the 'icons' added to bookmarks toolbars, but you can control your bookmarks using "Show All Bookmarks". That replaced 'Organize Bookmarks'. It will open the bookmark library & you should be able to rearrange, add, delete, etc from here.

Firefox is up to date but is unresponsive even after closing and restarting. How can I recover?

Firefox is totally unresponsive. I cannot select any of the several open tabs. I can open a new tab from an email link only. I have restarted Firefox and my MacBook Pro and all previously open windows appear in tabs but are inoperative.

How can i keep multiple tabs in the tab strip without them compressing into one tab?

when i open more than 6 windows , they all compress into one tab from where i have to access pages with a drop down menu. i want all the tabs to open up and the individual tabs to appear separately on the tab strip which can be scrolled up or down. thank you

the problem is in the firefox tab strip at the bottom of the page. i have attached two screenshots . when i open more than 6 tabs, they all get compressed into 1 tab. i want all tabs to stay open individually, and the tab strip should therefore have a page scroller icon forming when many tabs open. i have had this in the earlier computer i had, but recently got a new one. now i cant figure how to set firefox to do what i need.

Thanks for your reply, but I am talking about tasks not events. I can see my events, I cannot see any tasks below that. I used to be able to, but they have disappeared. I can plan a new task, but it never shows anywhere on my screen after i have planned it.

How do I hide the favicons on my Bookmark Toolbar?

They weren't there in Firefox 3, but appeared when I installed Firefox 4. I like not having them there, so bookmarks are listed more condensely. I have a Mac with OS 10.6.

going to sleep means disabling the network connection to save power
so what you're asking is not really possible
unless you can change what going to sleep mean on your computer
in the power saving settings you may be able to set going to sleep to just turn off your monitor
because thats pretty much the only thing that can go to sleep if you still wish to use it over wifi

If I have a folder within a folder how can I keep both open at the same time?

I now have IOS 10.10.1 on my iMac and can no longer open a file within a file and have the main file remain open along with the inner file. I used to be able to do this in Lion.

I don't know if this is what your looking for but here you go.
To make it so that when you double click a folder it opens in a new window you have to turn off or hide the toolbar. To do so:
Open a Finder window > Select "View" from the menubar > select "Hide Toolbar"
Keyboard shortcut to do the same as above is ( Command ) ( Option ) ( T )
Now every folder you double click on will open in a new window.
It should remember that you elected to not have the Toolbar show and every time you open a new window it will be the same.
To change back Do the same except instead of "Hide Toolbar" it will say "Show Toolbar"

How can I keep a graph on the screen?

I am working on a class with the purpose to plot 2D data. Everything works well but I'm facing a classic problem, I mean the way I should update the graph. That class is an extension of JPanel so I made a method Draw() that is able to draw the graph according with an external file. Clearly if I reduce the application or if I open a window that is located on the graph this last will be deleted, completely or partially, maybe I need to refresh it. Should I override some method like paint(), paintComponent() or something like that to keep the graph always on the screen?. Another question, wich is the best way to clear the graph before I plot another one?

On a page change, GIFs in the orignating page stop animating - how can I keep them animating until the page actually changes?

On some pages in my application I put up a mask and a loading dialog when changing page. This dialog has a GIF as a background image as a loading/waiting indicator. This GIF plays one or two frames and stops when the pages begins its redirection to the target page.
