Supported carriers in India are Aircel and airtel. If you're using a different carrier, you will have to work it out with them.

Create a conference call. While on a call, tap Add Call, make another call, then tap Merge Calls. Repeat to add more people to the conference.
    Drop one person: Tap next to a person, then tap End.
    Talk privately with one person: Tap , then tap Private next to the person. Tap Merge Calls to resume the conference.
    Add an incoming caller: Tap Hold Call + Answer, then tap Merge Calls.

We do this in my family now. We have one account for purchases, so it is used to share music and apps (I think that is in Settings/iTunes & App Stores). Each iDevice has this configured.
Then, each of us has our own iCloud account that is configured under Settings/iCloud. That then allows us to have our own Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Reminders/Safari Bookmarks/Notes/Passbook/Photo Stream/Documents & Data/Find My iPhone/and Backup. That Backup piece is pretty sweet and comes in handly if you replace your iDevice. You can just restore from it.
So we all share the Apple Store account but we all have our own iCloud accounts to keep the rest seperate or things like you mentioned are a nightmare.

Think of it as an internet based ("cloud") area for all of those items listed in my response. What you need to remember is photo stream only maintans the last 1000 pictures so don't count it as a complete backup solution for your pictures. Even though I rarely sync with a computer these days, I do still try to sync my phone with iPhoto (I have an iMac) so that I have copies of all of my pictures. 1000 may not stretch as far as it sounds.

Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the receiving device. Be aware that RIM only supports BT file transfer between BBs...with other devices is technically unsupported. But, it usually works, as long as the two devices are paired, trusted to each other, and each have all of the correct BT services enabled for the configuration of the other device.

Thank you for your suggestion. I backup on itunes. I went to itunes, deleted syncing my contacts, then re-synced them. But the Facetime capability option continues to be there on most (not all, for some curious reason) of my contacts. I am not sure I posed my question correctly. I want to be able to FT with my family, so don't want to delete the FT capability totally from my iphone and ipad. But I don't want all these other iphone calls from various contacts to ring on my ipad as FT calls. I want a way to select with whom I have FT capabilities. Any further suggestions? Hi, does your step dad have a smartphone or tablet? If he does he can load the Skype app and connect to the wifi in his home.If he doesn't have a smartphone then look into getting an Android smartphone from wherever you buy phones from in your country. An entry level device will be sufficent if you don't want to spend much money. You can buy a Skype compatible regular phone but they are not cheap and have to be connected by ethernet to your home router http://dualphone.net/ Another option is to forward his Skype number to his landline (if he has one) and answer the calls there, then use his laptop to make outgoing calls when needed. A subscription would cover this quite cheaply.

I got a new computer & moved my library there. It turns out that 62 songs will not sync nor will they even play when I click on them. It turns out they were purchased using an old apple ID that I haven't even used in 6 years.
