How can i put podcasts and songs in my playlist?

I know this issue came up in the last update, but the solution does not seem to work anymore. I want/need to put podcasts into my itunes playlists. The Podcast app takes all the podcasts out of iTunes and will not allow them to be played in playlists in the iPhone 5s. I tried uninstalling the Podcast app and then restarting the phone. That used to work but apparently does not work any more. I'm sure there is a simple answer but I could not get any help from Apple support. Any suggestions???

As far as I know, it cannot be done once you've upgraded to iOS7

iCloud does not store messages for you to see/access at icloud.com. It does back up messages so you can restore your iPhone if it ever needs to be reset to factory default. A backup is an image of all your data on the iPhone, and if you delete some messages, then they won't be part of any further backups.
If two people use the same iCloud account, then their devices are kept in sync, just like a single user's multiple devices are kept in sync. It's usually a good idea to have separate accounts for two people, since it's rarely the case that they want each phone to be an exact replica of the other.
Your iphone syncs contacts, events, camera roll, and many other things without the use of a computer.

How can I create an iTunes playlist that contains both music and podcasts and export that playlist to my iPhone? This was once possible. If you download the "Podcast" app, podcasts can still be added to iTunes playlist which you can listen to on your Mac. But when you sync that playlist to iPhone, it will omit all of the podcasts.
Previously, the workaround was not to download the Pocast app. That way, podcasts remained in iTunes where they could still exist in with music in the same playlist. But as of iOS7, you are required to install the "Podcasts" to be able listen to podcast at all. No more workaround.
Why does this matter? Some people, like me want to drive or exercise while listening to a mix of music and podcasts. Apple's "improvements" have restricted the way that I am able to use iTunes.
I can only think of these solutions:
Convert the podcast into AAC or other format. Then iTunes sees it as "music" and it will stay in the playlist. Cons: 1. Burdensome. 2. Removes the resume feature from the podcast.
Use a different iPhone app. Spotify lets you drag any track (even podcasts) into a playlist and they stay there when synced to the Spotify iPhone app. Cons: 1. Requires Spotify premium service to listen to playlists on iPhone. 2. The resume feature is removed. 3. Very difficult to forward and rewind. 4. Some podcasts are rejected by the Spotify playlist, although its rare. 5. After being imported, the tracked need to be synced to the phone via WiFi (as with all tracks that are not offered via Spotify.)
I am using the Spotify solution but am interested to know if there is an Apple solution. Or maybe I am the only one that wants to mix podcasts with music.

How can I delete podcasts and TV shows?

Hi. I downloaded my first video podcast and first TV episode directly from the iTunes app to my iPad, now that I have watched them with the iPod app, I want to delete them, but I haven't been able to find a way to do so. I have no interest on keeping them, nor syncing them back to my Mac. Is there a way to delete them directly from the iPad? Thanks!

Connect your iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes. Select TVShows from the menu. You can delete the files there.

How can I playback podcasts as if in a playlist?

I've downloaded a series of podcasts that each contain one song with some commentary. I'd like to play them all, one after another, such as in a playlist. How can I do that? It would end up like a radio broadcast, but no commercials.

I've made a smartplay list that automatically puts podcasts in it that haven't been played yet. Still it won't play one right after the other. I have to manually start each podcast. How do I set up a smartplay playlist that will automatically go from one podcast to another like music playlists do?

How can I automatically randomise the song order of playlists?

In previous versions of iTunes I would hit shuffle on a playlist and all the songs would change order - which was beyond convenient when creating 6-hour-long party playlists after dragging in the desired albums and songs. Then you could 'copy to play order' to leave the playlist in this shuffled state. On the new iTunes it seems not to have this option - it only lets you manually drag each song around the playlist, which is silly when the playlist gets towards a hundred songs. Is there any way now to automatically shuffle/randomise the song list?

On the Mac, this feature is enabled in Pages ’09 via the Preferences panel and Auto-Correction > Fix Capitalization. In Pages v5.2, this feature is not yet implemented. You will have to relearn use of the shift key.

You need to put the image on a server somewhere, like a .mac account. You can either provide a link to the image, or embed the link in HTML so this web page will load it from the designated server.

My sister and I use different computers, she has her own iTunes all set up with a bunch of songs. I just got my own iPod, and iTunes for my computer, is there a way that I can receive her songs, and put them onto my iTunes and onto my iPod? Or do I have to pay for the same songs that she has all over again, because that is very inconvenient and expensive? Is there a way?

It can't be done. The most you can do is ask store reps to grant those songs to newly created account, but I see that highly unlikely to be approved. Reason: for store purposes your son does not exist - just two different accounts. If they will start doing that and giving to one customer something that was purchased by another, the DRM companies will sue Apple/Itunes for every penny that was sold by them.

How can I put wireless and ethernet interfaces together?

I have a 877w router, and I'm trying to configure a wireless network.
I have an RFC1483 bridged ADSL, so I have ATM0.1 in a bridge group, and I then defined a BVI1 interface.
However, after configuring the wireless interface, I noticed that my laptop gets the IP address from the provider, as if wireless had precedence over the BVI interface. Putting the Dot11 interface in a separate bridge under VLAN1 doesn't seem to help either. I tried to put everything in the same bridge, but fast ethernet interfaces don't support bridging (how does the BVI work then, I wonder).
What should I do? Should I use two separate VLANs? I wouldn't like to do that. Any help appreciated. Thank you

So I should have followed more the article. I guess I just don't understand how BVI works. From the article I thought that the BVIs were on the same level, that is, all of them right behind the ATM interface. I was also thinking that one BVI could bridge more VLANs. Now my next mission is to understand why I was wrong on both points.

How can I change order of songs in a playlist from alphabetical. I'm using v. 10.7. In a previous version I could drag the songs into any order, but this doesn't work anymore.

The playlists in version 10.7 always put the songs in alphabetical order rather than the order in which I add them. With my older version I could re-order them by dragging them. With this one they just pop back into alphabetical.

It turns out that by clicking a little arrow to the left of "name" on the header, the titles can be unalphabetized.
