No, the answer is to quit the MS daemons that are running (database and syncservces), on or offline is not relevant.
You can't quit the daemons if Office is running, so exit Office first.

The logo was before a jpg then our designer transform it into vectors but today we were working she found complicated to move the image, it takes secooonds to make it move either from the keyboard or the mouse. Force Quit it. Right click on the Safari icon on the Dock and while holding down Option, click on Force Quit.
Either that or Click the Apple icon and click on shutdown while holding down Option key.
Or launch Activity Monitor from your Utilities and find Safari and end the process.

You can export the Pages document to Word or text instead of Pages but I advise you to first save the document in the native Pages format. Still best is if you reciever get the applicationif you are going to do a lot of editing on documents.

I have several questions of finishing setup.
Everything I wanna work except one. I don't know how to create the user who as a client can upload files. Now I have the directory upload, where everyone can do anything that he want (upload delete rename etc..) and others dir such as music, films where users (they all will be anonymous) can only download. I want to create user who can upload files to this directories. How can I make this? now no pam, no authantification.
Another question. How can I limit space of upload's folder?

ok. I had done all writing in the guide. but this example is without anonymous users. I want to create two types of directories ("shared" and others) and two types of users (anonymous and several admins which must log in)
1) anonymous users who can do anything in directory "shared" and only download in other directories.
2) admins users can upload and delete files or folders at any directory.
home directories aren't interesting to me.
What permissions should specify for dir?

Two things you need to check
1) configuration.properties Make sure you have correct app server settings and user name password. If you changed your password you need to update this file also.
2) Stop WebServer clear web server cache and try reconnect.
3) Web server logs should provide more details.

Why won't the copying action stop? How do i quit it so i can shut down? Items i tried to copy to either my hard drive or my USB memory are not copying - why? And now can't quit them either!

I have a Western Digital My Book hard drive which i use to store my media/data/back up. I tried to transfer some files on my desk top to it yestrday and it was taking forever so decided to stop it. Now it just shows under the Copying box, stopping but it isn't? I tried then to down load the same images t my USB memory stick and now that is doing the same. option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. I bought an original CRT iMac two day's before they were launched, which got the reseller into trouble, and had it replaced by APPLE.
This was a great learning process for me dealing with the glitches. :-)
I LOVE MAC. Now own 4 and on my 10th. in 15 years + 7 bought for family.

How can I quit (close) Photoshop and keep all windows so that the next time I open Photoshop all the files that I had open are there already in the same position as when I closed Photoshop?
I've been a Fireworks user for over 10 years and just switched to Photoshop. I cannot find a setting that will enable all my file windows to reopen when I quit Photoshop. This is really a problem since I often work on several files at the same time.
Please let me know if the feature exists or point me to where I can post a message for a new feature to be implemented. The feature is a must for any designer working on large projects.

There is no such functionality. You could perhaps create a script that stores that info in a custom text file and arranges them accordingly in the workspace, but that's as good as it gets...
