How can i restore my information backed up to icloud after I've restored my device with my last backup in itunes?

I lost my phone and needed to get a replacement.  When I did, I started the activation process, but never got prompted to restore from iCloud, just from my last backup in iTunes.  I've run the restoration, and the backup was pretty out of date.  Is there a way to restore the backup I'd set up in iCloud at this point?

First, I would plug the phone into a wall outlet to make sure you do not loose power during the restore. If you had a lot of information on your iPhone like apps, music, movies, etc it will take a while for all that information to e restored.
Second, restore the device and erase all content through the phone and not through iTunes. For some reason if you do a restore through iTunes it skips the restore from iCloud backup. Go to Aetting -> Generally -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings. It will take a few minutes to complete this process.
Third, once e Erase All Content and Settings is completed, setup the iPhone through he Wizard.
Fourth, select restore from iCloud backup.
Fifth, wait for the resotre to be completed.
Finally, enjoy your restored phone.

Don't downgrade OS X without first erasing the drive. You cannot restore a Time Machine backup of Lion directly on top of a later version of OS X such as Mountain Lion or Mavericks.
When you "Restore from a Time Machine Backup.", the drive will be erased for you, but yes, won't hurt to:
Boot into Recovery (hold ⌘R on boot)
Utility->Disk Utility->Erase Macintosh HD, then Repair Macintosh HD
    Quit Disk Utility
Then Select: Restore from a Time Machine Backup.

  • How do I get my information back on my phone after updating itunes

how do I get my information back on my phone after updating I Tunes.  I up dated it this morning and when it was complete, all my contacts and my pics and my screen savers and sounds were from my daughters phone. I can not locate any of my information on my phone?

All iTunes content they you have selected to be transferred to your existing iPhone - music/video/podcasts including 3rd party apps remain in your iTunes library on your computer. Photos transferred to your existing iPhone via the iTunes sync process also remain on your computer.
If you are syncing contact info and calendar events with the Address Book and iCal on your Mac, this data also remains on your computer.
You can sync multiple iPods and/or iPhones with the same iTunes library and iTunes account with each device having its own sync settings.
When you connect a new iPhone to iTunes on your computer, you will be prompted to transfer the backup for another iPhone that has been synced with iTunes. After the backup for your existing iPhone is transferred to your new iPhone, this must be followed by a sync to transfer your selected iTunes content including 3rd party apps and any photos on your computer selected to be transferred to your iPhone. You select sync contacts with the Address Book and calendar events with iCal under the Info tab for your new iPhone sync preferences and this data will be transferred to your new iPhone.

How can i download a specific back up from icloud? i want to download a backup that i back up 3 months ago. settings>icloud>storage&backup>manage storage and there i can see the back up that i want to download. but i dont know how to do it. i mean i dont want the back up that i downloaded last. i want to download the back up that i back up 3 months ago.

Go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on your device and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup and follow the prompts.  You will be shown a list of available backups and asked which backup you want to restore from (see image below).  Choose the older backup, if listed.  (Note: you may have to tap Show Older Backups in order to see it.)

  • HT4865 How can I view what was backed up in icloud

How can I view my stuff that was backed up in icloud

You are wrong. The data shown at www.icloud.com is not the contents of an iCloud backup. That is the data which is 'synced' between devices and computers - it is not a backup.
You should learn the difference between an iCloud backup data, and iCloud synced data. They are not the same.
Read http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4859 about what an iCloud backup is and what it contains.

  • How can I prevent the settings on iMessage from changing each time I sync the devices with iTunes on our iMac?

Each time I sync an apple device (iPad, iPad mini, iPhone) with iTunes on our iMac the settings on iMessage and phone settings change. We use the same Apple ID and have different e-mail addresses and phone numbers; however, each time a device is sync'd on iTunes on our iMac, the iMessage settings and phone settings are changed so that we all each get each other's text messages and phone calls. After the device is sync'd/charged, I have to go into each device (all of them somehow update when only one is sync'ing) and re-set the settings to what we want. How can I prevent settings from being changed each time?

Okay I've tried safe mode.  Let it run down to 98%, plugged it in, locked the screen, and waited.  A few minutes later, the screen came on showing the 100% icon at the top right, full battery icon just to the left of the time, 100% text to the left of that.
I'm not going to do a hard reset until I have confirmation that this is not normal behavior for the phone because that's going to take hours of my time and gigabytes of data transfer to get all of my media and apps back on the phone and configured.
After all my griping, I do have to give credit where it's due.  This phone is much more efficient than my Galaxy Nexus.  I left the S5 running in WiFi hotspot mode while on battery last night.  It still had over 50% left on the battery.  The Galaxy Nexus would be stone dead after about 4 hours.  I can live with that if I have to but I'd really rather be able to leave it on the charger at night.

  • How can I get my information back?

This morning I  plugged my phone into my computer and was told there was an update available, I went along and waited for the update to be completed. When it was my phone was completely wiped besides a few pictures left behind. I no longer have any of my contacts, nor bbm contacts or themes I once had. Please help !

    Hello,
During the update, it should have offered to you that it backup/restore your data as part of the process. If you did not defeat that offer, then the backup file might be on your computer still to be used as the source of restore. Search your computer for files with the extension of IPD and BBB...any that you find that have a date/time around the time you did this update are likely what was created when the update ran. Then, use the desktop software to perform the restore, using that file as source of the restore:
KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data to a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file
On the other hand, if you did defeat that backup (during the update) and/or for some reason there is no backup file, then you have no data source to use for a restore, and you've migrated from the latter to the former in this old saying:
There are 2 kinds of computing device users -- those who have lost data, and those who will.
Backups, quite simply, are not an optional exercise.
On the 3rd hand (3 hands???), if you have been using the FREE BB Protect app, then it might have data for you to use as the source of restore:
KB25063 How to use BlackBerry Protect to restore data to a BlackBerry smartphone
On the 4th hand (now 4???), if you have been using a desktop PIM (e.g., Outlook), then that may well be your master data source for at least contacts and calendar...and you'd just need to re-configure your settings to re-enable the synchronization:
KB03315 How to setup organizer data synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Software
On the !!! 5th hand, if you've been using Google or Yahoo (and some others I think) as your email service, then you might have also been using their OTA contacts/calendar synchronization process...and, as such, just need to re-enable that.
So, there are plenty of things that could exist...of course, ALL of them require that something (e.g., backup, PIM, etc.) has been done BEFORE this need has arisen. Rest assured that, based on what you've done, your data is indeed GONE from your BB...so you need to find another already existing source to use to restore it to your BB.
    Good luck!

  • How can I recover Firefox information (bookmarks, open tabs, etc) after "Refresh" caused profile loss?

Firefox kept hanging up. I tried Refresh button; received "almost done" message, then nothing happened. I quit & restarted Firefox, & now get message that profile is missing or moved. Used Mozilla instructions to locate profile, it was not in folder I was directed to. I now have a "Old Firefox Data" folder on my desktop.

It sounds as though the Refresh did not complete normally. But you knew that.
Since I am a Windows user, I apologize in advance if this reply is not completely applicable to your system.
Check inside "Old Firefox Data" folder for a folder with a semi-randomized name. If there's only one, that probably has your old settings and add-ons. If there's more than one, you'll want to work with the one that was updated most recently.
Once you have identified the profile folder you want to restore, here is my suggested "old profile resurrection procedure":
    '''Overview'''
These are the steps detailed below:
    # Create a new Firefox profile
    # Remove everything from that new profile folder
    # Copy in everything from the old profile folder
    '''Create a new Firefox profile'''
Quit Firefox if it's running. Start up in the Profile Manager using the method in this article: [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]].
    ''Notes:''
    * Do not delete anything here!
    * Any time you want to switch profiles, quit Firefox and return to this dialog.
Click the Create Profile button, assign a name like OldSettings, and skip the option to change the folder location. Then select that new profile in the dialog and start Firefox.
'''Open the New Profile folder in Finder'''
Firefox in the new profile should look like a factory fresh installation. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the first table, click the "Show in Finder" button. Firefox will launch an Finder window showing the contents of your brand new profile folder.
Leaving that folder open, switch back to Firefox, and Quit/Exit. When Firefox closes, the new profile folder should be front and center, or you can activate it using the Task bar (?? or Mac equivalent).
'''Copy Old Data in Place of New'''
In that new profile folder, select all the contents and delete. Make sure you don't delete from your old folder.
Leaving that window open, open or switch over to your Old Firefox Data folder. Drill down into your old profile folder. At this level you should see a folder named bookmarkbackups among other things.
Select everything and Copy (either right-click > Copy or Command+c).
Switch to the empty new profile folder in other window and Paste (either right-click > Paste or Command+v). This may take a minute since some of the files are large.
    '''Start Firefox'''
Firefox should start up in that new profile with the resurrected old profile data. Success?

my form has been destroyed how can i get the information back?

When you say that your form was destroyed does this mean you no longer see your form in the myforms tab or that the data submitted to the form is missing. If it is missing submissions are they all gone or just some. Any additional information about your for and your submissions would be helpful in figuring out what has happened.
