How can I setup a PAC File via terminal command line?

I've tried using:
networksetup -setautoproxyurl ethernet http://pacurl.com/proxy/test.pac
I believe the command may be deprecated? What is the best way to get this done?
Your thoughts on this are appreciated...

Dear All,
My problem is solved by the following code:
exportBiarLocation=D:\ExportMyFile.biar
action=exportXML
userName=Administrator
password=bl123456
CMS=bldhkbo02:6400
authentication=secEnterprise
exportQuery=select * from ci_appobjects
Save the above proterties file in a specific path.
Run the above properties file by the following cmd command:
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\common\4.0\java\lib>java -jar biarengine.jar ....\MyExport.properties

  • How to reset the network IP address from terminal/command line in Mac OSX?

    Do anyone knows how to set the network IP address from terminal/command line in Mac OS X?

    how about a GUI, ever heard of a GUI? it's this really neat thing, where you don't have to worry about remembering long strings of text to do something. Mac OS X actually has a rather decent one (that was sarcasm by the way, Mac is the best) you could have it done in like 30 sec, if you use the network pane of system preferences.

  • How can I put a "esc" character in the command line of the Iinstrument I/O Assistant?

    Hello
    I'm trying to prepare a VI for a device (Ultrasonic detector) connected to my RS-232 serial port, and which requires commands and enquires in the format
    The problem is very simple....since is a non printable character, how can I put it in the command line of the Instrument I/O Assistant???
    Best regards
    Massimiliano

    Hello Massimiliano,
    Thanks for contacting National Instruments.
    To answer you question, the best way to do what you are looking to do is to use the instrument I/O Assistant to generate whatever you want the code to do without the non-displayable characters, then once the Instrument I/O Assistant block is on the block diagram, then right click on the Assistant block and select to open the front panel. You will want to choose to convert it to a standard VI, which will allow you to change the code that has been auto generated. In order to add non-displayable characters to this code you follow the knowledgebase link below.

  • Automating sql files via a command line prompt

    Hi All
    I've set up an SQL file that extracts information about students in csv format. This information is then imported into another piece of software that creates students e-mail accounts etc..
    The program prompts the user to specify from when they want the data from e.g. list of student details that enrolled after 01-SEP-2002.
    The Network Manager has now asked me if there is any way the extraction of the student data and import into the e-mail creation software can be automated. He suggested command line prompts as used in DOS e.g. dir/od *.sql > test where dir gives the directory the od orders the files by date.
    The Network Manager wanted the extraction and import procedure run on a regular basis by simply just typing a 'command line'. The extraction would take place on an hourly basis especially during the main enrolment periods
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks
    Jen

    I work mainly with UNIX, so cannot give you the actual DOS commands, but I would structure the program as below. I assume that you have some way of identifying the last enrollment you extract.
    In psuedo code:
    Set up any environment variables required
    sqlplus -s user/password@enrollment_server @student_extract.sql
      -- student_extract.sql would spool to a fixed name file say enrollment.txt
      -- after extracting, it would update a single column, single row table with the
      -- the identifying field for the last enrollment extracted (this would also
      -- be used in the extract query as the lower bound)
    Reset any environment variables required to connect to the email server
    sqlplus -s user/password@email_server @load_email.sql
      -- load_email.sql would read enrollment.txt and do whatever is required
    rename enrollment.txt to enrollment.txt.current-date-timeThis could be run out of an automatic scheduler if you have one, or manually from the command line.

  • How can I package an HTML5 panel from the command line?

    I am able to use the Eclipse Extension Builder plugin to export a ZXP file, but for our build process we will need to do this from the command line.  Is this possible?

    Edit: Adobe has fixed the links and the downloads are now available.
    The links to the Windows downloads do not seem to be active anymore.  Is there somewhere else we can get these?

  • Can I combine two pdf files by using command lines?

    Hi
    I always need to combine two pdf files into one in my regular work
    Currently, I open one of them, press ctrl+shift+I,
    find another file and double click it.
    It works but not so efficient since I need to do
    this procedure many times everyday
    So I'm looking for a better solution
    Something like command lines,
    for example:
    acrobat.exe "combine" "doc1.pdf" "doc2.pdf"
    Does acrobat have these functions or not?

  • Problems with in/out points when submitting jobs via Terminal/command-line

    I've writting a GUI based script which allows a user to select a source Quicktime file, and will encode that file to multiple formats, and trims each destination based on specific timecode in/out points. However, I'm having problems getting the Compressor command-line interface to honor the in/out timecodes that I've explicitly set for multiple jobs within a single commandline.
    In other words, if I want to encode a source Quicktime between 01:00:00:00 and 01:00:29:23 with just ONE setting/destination, then the following commandline works:
    /Applications/Final\ Cut\ Studio/Compressor.app/Contents/MacOS/Compressor -clustername MHM -batchname CLI_BATCH -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov  -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/OTWC.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_OTWC.mov -in 01000000 -out 01002923
    But if I try to append multiple settings/destinations to the commandline, Compressor will only honor the -in/-out arguments which appear in the LAST -jobpath instance in the commandline.
    For example, the following commandline will properly encode the file to multiple destination files, using the appropriate .settings file, but it ignores the -in/-out points that were set for any -jobpath instance that appears before the last -jobpath instance (in other words, every file is output using 00:59:57:00/01:00:30:01 as the in/out points, instead of having the "*_OTWC.mov" file output using 01:00:00:00 as the in point)
    /Applications/Final\ Cut\ Studio/Compressor.app/Contents/MacOS/Compressor -clustername MHM -batchname CLI_BATCH -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov  -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/OTWC.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_OTWC.mov -in 01000000 -out 01002923 -jobpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST_SRC.mov -settingpath /Volumes/common/settings/compressor/M9_Slave/_Local_/HNN-HD.setting -destinationpath /Volumes/mel/temp/20120329/TEST1234_Testing30_HNN-HD.mov -in 00595700 -out 01003001
    It's wierd that everything else about this command-line syntax works as expected (and as explicitly stated in the Compressor -help output, which says "when submitting individual source files. (The) Following parameters are repeated to enter multiple job targets in a batch"), except for the -in/-out points.
    I've even tried quoting the -in/-out arguments using colons (e.g., -in "01:00:00;00") , but this doesnt appear to change the behavior.
    Is this a bug, or am I missing something here?

  • How can I include a video file via a Widget

    Greetings.
    I was requested to find out how I would insert a video into some form of widget (see attached picture). What I would like to accomplish is for the elearner to be able to access different videos on the same slide.  The reason we want the same slide is because our LNS system will not give full credit if the user is able to jump slides.  If anyone has any ideas, your comments/suggestions would be very helpful.
    thank you!

    You cannot insert videos in a widget like that. However, you can insert them as Event videos. That will allow you to insert multiple videos on a single slide.
    You can know more about them here:

  • How to configure group policy for emet via a command line

    I have been tasked with installing emet on 50 servers that I only have access to with our patching server (so I can't remote in and open the gpedit gui). I can get it to install, but now the problem that I'm facing is I need to enable 6 of the group policies
    for emet. Is there a way to do this while installing it? or a way to do it after the install?

    cmd line you need to deal with is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\EMET 4.1 folder
    specifically emet_conf --refresh would tell the systems to pull in the settings from a GPO they have already applied.
    In a non - SCCM environment I would probably recommend using group policy preferences and create a task scheduler item on your servers that runs emet_conf --import
    \\fileserver\settingsfile.xml on some sort of automated basis. Then you can just configure a client like you need and run the emet_conf --export
    \\fileserver\settingsfile.xml whenever you need to change a mitigation etc and the clients will pick up on the change on their next run of the task scheduler item.
    In general installing on servers isn't a great idea and is not the intended use case for emet however if you are DoD/Gov then DISA has mandated it so won't argue there.  There's also the people that still have Internet access from servers so then it
    would make sense in that environment as well.

  • Time server via terminal command line?

    Just as one can obtain their external WAN IP address by using curl -s http://checkip.dyndns.org (or other similar websites), is there an equally cool command to retrieve date/time from an ntp server such as time-a.timefreq.bldrdoc.gov, that anyone knows about?
    TIA

    -u instructs ntpdate to use an unprivileged port and shouldn't be necessary in most instances.
    That said, by design ntpdate won't make major corrections to the system time other than during boot time due to the fact that big time jumps can often screw up running applications.
    Also, there shouldn't be any need to run this manually. You can use System Preferences -> Date & Time to tell the OS to sync with a remote time server. This activates the ntp daemon to correct your clock and keep it in sync.

  • Advice on constructing a test engine and formatting a spreadsheet test file to perform command line interface testing on a product through telnet or serial interface

    Advice on constructing a test engine and formatting a spreadsheet test file to perform command line interface testing on a range of products through telnet or serial interface and output pass/fail results.

    Hello j. smith,
    TestStand gives you the ability to create "sequence files" which are lists of tests to be run sequentially or in parallel. These tests can be written in any language: LabVIEW VIs, C/C++ DLLs, EXEs, ActiveX objects, .NET Assemblies, etc.
    You can run your TestStand sequence files from a command-line prompt using the following syntax:
    \bin\SeqEdit.exe" /quit -run
    This will launch the TestStand Sequence Editor (and optionally prompt you for TestStand login information if you have this configured), run your sequence file, then exit.
    If you're using the TestStand process model, it can output your results to a report file or database if you configure this. To use a TestStand process mo
    del to execute your sequence file, use the following syntax:
    \bin\SeqEdit.exe" /quit -runEntryPoint
    Here's an example:
    C:\>"C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 3.0\bin\SeqEdit.exe" /quit -runEntryPoint "Single Pass" "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 3.0\Examples\Demo\C\computer.seq"
    Note that multiple sequences and sequence files can be specified on the command line.
    TestStand supports remote sequence execution using DCOM (Distributed COM), which is an east way to remotely execute tests. But as for running tests or commands through a telnet or serial interface, you would have need to check Windows documentation on how to execute command-line remotely like this.
