How can I show Search Form parameter values in URI of Results page?

I have searched through these pages for posts relating to caching but haven't seen any that relate to my issue.
We run a website that accesses data through search forms and returns matching data to the requester in a results page. The search criteria are entered in a form and the results page is generated by a servlet that gets the search parameter values that the user entered using the GET method.
I would like rewrite this Search page using JDeveloper to bring our old code up to date and take advantage of new features that should help performance. In particular, I want to utilise the WebCache.
To use the WebCache effectively, the cache needs to know what the search criteria were when it delivers a page so that repeated requests using the same criteria can be served directly from the cache.
The data retrieved by a query may change from one search to to the next so I can't use time-based caching. But, I can use the WebCache Invalidation interface from the back-end DB server to flush old data out of the WebCache when it is changed, but to flush out the correct pages I need to know the parameter values passed.
If I just follow the demos, it seems like the search parameters are all hidden in beans or something which means that the Web Cache can't be used for what I want. The parameter values are important.
So my question is: is there a way of showing the search parameters used in the URI to the Results page? Can the old GET method of parameter passing be used (or can I somehow just put the old style parameters onto the URI?)
Alternatively, is there a simple How To or Demo on how to use the Web Caching facility with JSF?
(ADF Caching and Java Object caching do not seem appropriate for my needs. ADF caching seems to be limited to having fragments cached for fixed periods of time and Java Object caching is orders of magnitude slower and involves the Application Server.)

You need to, basically, mention the data region from where you want to fetch the data. Depending on the template of your report, the account member comes from the row, and the time member comes from the column. So, for these 2 dimensions, you need to refer to the cells, which holds the ID of the members. For the rest of the dimensions, you should fetch the members from the page region, preferably.

How can I Show Search History - NOT browser history?

Everyone knows that Firefox keeps a history of sites you've visited. Also, by right-clicking on the FF search box, it allows you to "Clear Search History". These are items that you have searched for in the past - but not necessarily clicked through to the results. (where are they kept?)
What I want is to SHOW Search History. In other words, I want to see (and select from) a list of phrases I've entered in the search box. If this isn't available as a feature it'd be a great plugin idea.

The plugin you refer to would be great for managing form history items, but that wasn't what I wanted. The mod to userChrome.css was exactly what I needed.
Interestingly, my file did not have the @namespace line in it, so I added it, but I'm not sure if I had to or why it worked without it in the first place. Oh, well.

Navigation showing completed form field values in URI

Hi,
Using ADF, I have a form for entering values that I want the user to complete and then click a Search button that navigates to another page passing the values the user entered as traditional GET type parameters in the URI.
I do not seem to be having any luck in doing this.
I thought I was there by setting up a navigation case where the destination was /page.jsp?param1=#{backing_search.selectInputText1.value} but this is not evaluated and is passed literally to page.jsp.
I have also tried this with static navigation via a go button, but the button's destination value is set before the user enters the value into the field and so the value they enter is lost.
I know that parameter passing us usually done in the backing bean, but I need to see the values in the URI.
Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for replying Frank, but this doesn't seem to work.
I have created a test JSF JSP page with a single selectInputText field and a single command button.
The form has a backing bean with a method that the command button uses (in its Action property) which simply returns the string "success". My navigation case for "success" has Redirect set to true. When I run the form and click the button, the navigation is successful but the entered parameter and value pair is not shown on the URI (but the URI does display the name of the new page, which it doesn't when Redirect is false).
Do I have to set some form or field property in order to achieve what I want to do?

Try this:
Select ItemCode,ItemName from OITM
where ItemCode = $[$5.0.0]
5 = Item number of form (On item master data 5 is item-number)
0 = Column of item... since item 5 is no matrix 0 shoul be used.
0 = Casting type (0 is default, but int, string and date is possible)

I'm not sure what the question is.
I know that if you have a bar chart and one of the categories (X-axis) has bar (Y value) equal to 0%, no bar is plotted for that category. Even the addition of a stroke (line) around the bars doesn't make one appear for 0%. The only automatic way I know of to make it look like there is data in that category is to add the value labels to the bars. Inspector/Chart/Series, select one of the bars on the chart, click on "value labels". Another method that is a workaround is to fudge the number a little in your table so that instead of 0% it is a very small %. This will get you a thin line on the chart.
But if your question is about the value labels (the numbers that display on or in the bars) and you are not getting one for a bar that is supposed to be 0%, it probably means your table doesn't actually have a 0% in the corresponding cell. A blank cell in the table will not get a value label.

We would like a form to display the following information:
Employee Names as the columns, 1 row for each calendar day, and each item in the block containing the total sales amount (and other information) for that employee for that day.
This would require the block to function as a (composite) crosstab report.
Here is an example:
We have employees: Jane, John, Jim, and Janice
We would like to see their total sales for the following days: 5/1 .. 5/5
Jane John Jim Janice
5/1 50 8 10 3 30 5 20 7
5/2 40 7 60 8 10 2 30 4
5/3 20 3 50 8 70 9 50 9
5/4 51 8 40 7 40 8 50 8

We have a table with records of each day, for each employee, and their sales for that day.
There is a possibility our list of employees can change as well as the number of days.
Anyone tried doing anything like this with a form? We don't want to just embed a report because we would like to include other data as well besides what is mentioned above and we would like them to be able to change some of that data. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a VERY similar problem where I want to have this matrix on the form with six days worth of data (three columns for each day) for my data table. I have done as Momen has suggested and created a view (using SQLPLUS):
create table weekdays (weekday varchar2(3), date_x date);
drop view employee_absences_v;
create view employee_absences_v as
select weekday,
absence_date,
hours,
absence_code_lvid,
adjustment_status_lvid
from employee_absences ea, weekdays wd;
that hopefully provides a row for each day of the week for my data table. The view is created OK but I'm not sure how to get it into the form properly. Also, I am using the form to CREATE rows in the data table not just SELECT and DISPLAY and there may or may not be a row of data for a corresponding day which is going to be a problem for me using this view method, I think. Let me know how this goes and if you get your form to work and how? Momen, your method appeals to me but it's not 100% clear how to get it to work in a form?

you can use a reference to a RichTree component instance and call getSelectedRowKeys on it. The selected rowKey then allow you to look-uo the nodes in the tree. You can use a custom selection listener on the tree to be notified about each selection. There also is an API for the de-selected row keys, which you need to remove nodes from the select many list. The select many list will get its data from a managed bean in view scope (so the values survive subsequent requests)

In a multi record block, how can I show few records in one colour and few more in a different colour depending on a condition.

This will change the visual attribute of the item in the current(!) record,
