How can I suppress @ from prompting in a file when I run slqplus cmnd line

I should know this, but varied searches have come up with nothing :-(
I have a script myscript.sql which inserts data, mostly email addresses such as '[email protected]'. When I run this script command line for example:
sqlplus scott/tiger @myscript.sql
The script prompts me at every @ expecting an input param. How do I escape, ignore, suppress that? Each of the @'s in the file are already either in quotes or comment headers.

My bad, you're right - it wasn't the @, it was a completely munged script which dos-to-unix fixed. Although it was odd that I was getting prompted. I'm chalking it up to some weird anomaly. I'm returning to the Oracle world after a 2 year hiatus and dusting off the cobwebs...

My 5 year old iMac's hard drive is at the point of failing. I'm trying to save al files on it, but it wont allow backup via Time Machine to an external hard drive. How can I keep from losing all the files and programs if the hard drive fails?

I'm concerned that my iMac, purchased 5 years ago, is about the crash and I can't back up my files and programs to an external hard drive via Time Machine because the computer freezes after only a couple hundred MB and gets nowhere near the required amount.
How can I save these files and programs if the computer hard drive fails or has to be replaced without the backup being able to be done? I need to do something quickly, but I'm not sure what I can or should be doing.

Get an external hard drive, some good ones that I like are the OWC, http://www.macsales.com Mercury Elite Pro drives...they are very good and reasonably priced.
Get the drive, connect via USB or FireWire, then use Disk Utility to format the new drive as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled), and then use Disk Utility to Restore the current drive to the new drive. Restore actually clones the drive so you will have a bootable backup on the external drive.
After you have formatted and named the external drive, click Restore in the main Disk Utility window, drag the name of the old hard drive to the Source box, and drag the name of the new external drive to the Destination box. DU will make an exact clone of the internal drive on the external drive.
That clone will be a complete backup of the operating system and all of your data.
You can test it by restarting the iMac and hold the Option key. That will give you a grey screen showing all bootable drives. Just click the external drive, then click the upward pointing arrow under it and the iMac will boot from that drive.

I'm referring to the first executable. In other words, I have my application and I want to build and executable of it. Then I go to "Tools->Build application..." and then in the source files tab I can add my vi files but I want to add more than vi at the same time (at once) and not one by one. How can I do it?
And my second question is: When I make the installer for my application I save the configuration in a build Script file (.bld) in order to use it whenever I want. Then If from another computer different from the one where I generate the .bld file, I load it, LV tells me that something is wrong (LV says there are some errors in some VIs but It doesn't tell me what files are). Why?

How can I change from JDBC to flat files

I have an application setup that runs on MySQL using JDBC. But, I'm having problem with the database(ConnectorJ to be exact). I just want check the functionality of this application. Can I use a flat file as opposed to the DB? How can I possibly do this?

The text driver supports a very simple SQL. Inserts, deletes are allowed. Not sure about updates. Joins on tables are not.
Of course it will still require a connection string.

I was running Firefox on another computer that lost it's motherboard, was able to salvage the harddrive, but my mail files on the older hard drive have a different name, how can I pull or import those older files into firefox running on another computer?

I had been backing up my system using Acronis for years. My desktop's motherboard crashed and was not worth repairing. I pulled my desktop hard drive and turned it in a standalone drive. I re-established my email on a laptop starting from scratch using Firefox. I would like to import (if possible) the emails history that is stored on the standalone drive (formerly my old hard drive). However, the names of the mail folders on the drives are different. For example: current computer the mail folder is named garlic.com. On the standalone drive (old hard drive) there are several folders and they are named, for instance; mail.garlic.com, mail.garlic-1.com , and so forth. it goes up through garlic-4.com.
How can I pull or import these older folders into my current email folder and see all my old email archives?

You are not going to be able to run your old system from the backup on this old computer as the hardware is incompatible.
You need to get a new computer or a refurbished one.

How can I implement an iphone application, it hides when started running?

If it it possible, please help me how it can be implemented. As I need it for my application, this application will only update current gps data into the server at regular interval that is set by the user.

How can I get firefox to highlight downloaded file when opening containing folder in linux mint 13

When I use open containing folder to locate the download, the file is not highlighted which, given the size of my downloads folder, makes it a chore to locate the file (especially when you've forgotten what it's named).
The file manager I'm using is nemo.
I can manually run nemo with the full path to the file as the second parameter via the command line and it will highlight the file.
Is there a config option somewhere that I can change to pass in the full file path and not just the containing folder path?

I have the exact same problem.
The source of the problem is that on Linux there is no single file manager.
I tried to determine if firefox uses xdg-open or some other technique by searching the source but have not found it yet.
If the proper call is used, for most file explorers this function can be realised.
If xdg-open is used, it should be patched, which I also tried and has not yielded results yet.
What would help me pick this up further is the answer to the question: what does firefox use to open the file in the download manager?

How can I suppress icons in my bookmarks file?

I don't like the bloat my bookmarks file is subject too when icons are captured with the bookmarks. Is there a way to suppress these images? They're absolutely unnecessary and really explode each bookmark that has them The image is larger than all other data in the bookmark!

Note: an HTML backup doesn't preserve tags and annotations, so you lose those if you need to import the HTML backup.
You can suppress favicons by setting these prefs to false:

No, you can't see a list of card redemptions, nor how items were billed - all you can do is view your account's purchase history via your computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. in the fieldcatalog you are providing there is a field NO_OUT use this.
Loop over internal table and check fieldname. If fieldname = column you want to hide, NO_OUT = 'X'.

How can I steam from my early 2011 15-inch Mac Book Pro to my 2007 Samsung TV?

I have an early 2011, 15-inch Mac Book Pro Software OS X 10.9.5 (13F34). It does not have an HDMI port. I have a Samsung TV I bought in 2007 (Model LN-4061F). How can I stream from laptop to my TV? My laptop does not have an HDMI port. I've read I can buy an adapter, but I'm not sure what to buy.

You will have to use the minidisplay port to connect to the TV. Assuming that the TV has an HDMI port, you will need a cable such as this:
