How con i produce a colored .eps output from Diadem Report
Hello anybody,
I need your Help.
I want to export my Diadem report data to EPS with color. But when i
export ist via the export funktion of diadem i only get gray value EPS.
What went wrong and how can i fix tghe Problem.
I am running Diadem 9.1 under Windows XP on an AMD 64 3000+ processor with 526 MB RAM.
Thanks for your help

Hi Jochen,
as with many Windows applications, DiaDEM isn't able to produce EPS
directly AFAIK. A workaround is, to install a Postpcript printer on Windows
which will print to a file. Most PS drivers offers an option to produce
EPS instead of PS. Or you could print to PS and convert it to EPS using
ghostscript.
Another way could be to export a WMF/EMF. But here you need a vector
graphics progam which is able to work with WMF/EMF (most unfree Windows
programs) and to save to EPS (could be a problem again). But beware,
if I insert a WMF/EMF into Powerpoint e.g., it makes quite a difference
wether I paste it as WMF or EMF (dimensions are different, some
characters may get lost in WMF)! So I'd opt for the first way...
I hope this helps a bit.
Cheers,
Carsten

How to Customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report
Hi,
I've been trying to customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report.
First i followed the instructions in Note:183131.1 -
How to Customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report
But of course the OWA_UTIL.REDIRECT_URL in this solution did not work (in a portlet) and i found the metalink document 228620.1 which described how to fix it.
So i followed the "fix" in the document above and now my output is,..
"Portlet 38,70711 responded with content-type text/plain when the client was requesting content-type text/html"
So i search in Metalink for the above and come up with,...
Bug 3548276 PORTLET X,Y RESPONDED WITH CONTENT-TYPE TEXT/PLAIN INSTEAD OF TEXT/HTML
And i've read it and read it and read it and read it and can't make heads or tails of what it's saying.
Every "solution" seems to cause another problem that i have to fix. And all i want to do is customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report. Please,...does anyone know how to do this?My guess is that it only shows the number of rows it has retrieved. I believe the defailt is for it to only retrieve 50 rows and as you page through your report it retrieves more. So this would just tell you how many rows was retireved, but probably not how many rows the report would contain if you pages to the end. Oracle doesn't really have a notion of total number of rows until the whole result set has been materialized.

Thanks,Please make your question more clear . Also mention the reports version.
1) If you are runnning reports in Unix, you can give
.... destype=file desformat=pdf desname=<filename>
in command line
Please refer docs below.
2) If by your question you mean
"My reports server is running in Windows but I want to ftp my files to Unix after creating it"
then the answer is that you can use pluggable destination "ftp"
.... destype=ftp desformat=pdf desname=<ftp url>

How do you use the color channel output mode in Ultra Key in Premiere Pro CS6?
I'm wondering how the color channel output mode is supposed to be used in the Ultra Key inside of Premiere Pro CS6? I've looked through all the Adobe help items and I don't see any documentation on it.
Before I answer, you might want to read the following article: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/essentials/rgb/
So, basically, if you understood all of that, and maybe already knew all of that, then you can use the color channel to see more deeply into the effect by looking at the details of the image through the lens of the color channel. -

For a non OO ALV...
TYPE-POOLS: slis.
DATA: xfield TYPE slis_t_fieldcat_alv,
gs_layout TYPE slis_layout_alv.
In your data structure you have tu put a field for the color, example:
DATA: BEGIN OF xdata OCCURS 1.
DATA: ebeln LIKE ekko-ebeln,
name1 LIKE lfa1-name1,
txz01 LIKE ekpo-txz01,
color_line(4) TYPE c, " <==== this is the color line
END OF xdata.
You have create a form for the layout like this:
FORM init_layout.
gs_layout-info_fieldname = 'COLOR_LINE'. "<==the name of de field of the structure
ENDFORM.
Perform the init_layout in the initialization.
Your call alv function, have to be like this:
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'

i_buffer_active = 'X'
i_callback_program = 'YOUR_PROGRAM'

How to prepare Block Structure data for D/A output from DIAdem
Dear Sir:
I'm trying to do D/A convert from DIAdem and DAQCard6062E,whereas when I located the data file to be output, and specified the channel, DIAdem gave the Error as following:
--Error-- DIAdem
Error from DAC simulation input file(read data file)
The DAT file'...'must have Block Strucure!!!
What I want to know is how to prepare or how to save my *.tdm file to a file of Block Strucure.
Thank you very much
jingHi jing,
i think there´s no chance to do online reading with tdm-files.
There are two ways to solve your problem:
1. Using the "channel simulation block" to read data out of DIAdem data cache.
2. Store as DAT.File named in 8.3-notation using block-format.
I don´t know the english menue-items, but all you need is in the Files.menu selection "DAT-Files".
By the way:
If you change the setting in the "datastorage-dialog" from "data area" to "file" for recording data, you´ll get a "playable" DAT-File.

EBS: Email XML publisher output, from After Report Trigger in Data Template
Here is what I'm trying to do:
-- In EBS (11.5.10 CU2), I'm using XML publisher (5.6.2) data template and layout template to generate Output files (PDF, EXCEL etc)
--In the Data Template's AfterReport Trigger, I'm using the Concurrent Request Id to locate the Output file name and trying to Email that output file.
Problem:
-- When the AfterReport trigger code is executed, the code is NOT seeing the output file and hence the file is NOT emailed.
Observations/Questions:
-- From what I observe, the Output Post Processor ( that generates the Excel / PDF files) is running AFTER the code in AfterReport trigger... and hence the AfterReport trigger is Not quite seeing / able to access the output file.
So, the sequence of execution seems to be:
-- Before Report Trigger
-- Data Query (SQL statement)
-- After Report Trigger
-- Output Post Processor
Because the AfterReport Trigger is running before the Output Post Processor, it is Not able to see the output file. Is that a True statement?
If Yes, how else can the DataTemplate access the Output file?
If No, what could cause the AfterReport trigger to not see the output file?Because the AfterReport Trigger is running before the Output Post Processor, it is Not able to see the output file. Is that a True statement?
I believe so, as the OPP works on the output of the Report after the Report has completed execution.
You could use the same approach as we do for bursting the report to different users. Write a Java Concurrent program based on "oracle.apps.xdo.oa.cp. XMLPReportBurst" with delivery channel Email to send the email output. You would need to add code to launch the Concurrent child request in your AfterReport Trigger:
function AfterReport return boolean is
jreq_id number;
begin
srw.message (100, 'DEBUG: AfterReport_Trigger +');
jreq_id:= FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST ('XDO','XDOBURST','','',FALSE,:P_CONC_REQUEST_ID,'Y',chr(0),
If (jreq_id=0)
then
srw.message (100,'Request id is zero');
end if; -

How to remove the buttons which are coming from a report?
Hi All,
I need to remove the buttons from an iview which is a sap transaction. when i execute the report program which uses a ldb (PCH) shows a selection screen having all the buttons.
We have created variants for this. Now i want to remove the buttons which are coming from the report program.how to do this ?
Lakshmi.Hi,
I think u r mentioning about the addition buttons that appear in the selection screen when using a logical database. for removing these buttons u can use a function module RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS for setting ur own pf-status
do this in "at selection screen output" of the program..
in the tables parameter, u have the option for giving the ok-codes that u want to remove. append all the ok-codes into this table.
for getting the ok-codes u can use "tab" and go the button.. press F1. it will give the ok-code.

Is there a way to get HTML output from the Maven report? When I do a site generation, I see pmd.xml in the target directory and a flexpmd.html file in target/site, but flexpmd.html is essentially empty. I don't see any configuration option for this. The "regular" PMD plugin always outputs HTML and the XML output is an option (although it defaults to on): http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-pmd-plugin/pmd-mojo.html#format
Actually, flex-pmd-maven-plugin 1.0.RC4 understands this in the configuration tag:
<outputDirectory>${project.build.directory}/site</outputDirectory>
<targetDirectory>${project.build.directory}/site</targetDirectory>
With this, "pmd.xml" and "flexpmd.html" are placed in the site folder, but "flexpmd.html" is replaced later with the empty site report template. So, no real gain here.
Any ideas on how to integrate the "flexpmd.html" file with the site reports? -
Is it Possible to upload the output from Oracle reports To Access database
Hi All,
Wish you All a Very Happy New Year.
I have a query.Is it possible to
upload the output from the Oracle reports
to the Access database???
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
TIA
sgHi sg,
Research the DDE option.
Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) is a mechanism by which applications can communicate and exchange data in Windows.
I have imported data into the excel spreadsheet using DDE built in functions. I am sure it can work with MS Acess as well. If not, then you need to create a 2 step process .. reports -> excel -> access.
