How deploying a simple report as .jsp

Hi,
i have read the last days many document, and messages on this board.
But I could not find answers.
My problem is:
I create a simple report with reportbuilder and save this to mysample.jsp.
I copy this file to Oracle Application Server j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\reports\web\.
When i call the report from web http://myservername/reports/mysample.jsp?userid=.
The server return follow error:
Anforderungs-URI:/reports/JSP_Demo.jsp
Exception:
java.io.FileNotFoundException
Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 10g (9.0.4.0.1) for Microsoft Windows with Patch Set 2 (9.0.4.2.0)

Are you sure you're copting the Reports to the right place. There's a difference running Developer Suite and Application Server. Check documentation and/or Metalink. Also, I would place this question next time in the Reports forum, not in the Application Server (General) forum:
Reports

    Hi Ashok,
    You can use rwservlet - nothing really to do with JDeveloper. Once you have report server up and running (hint: read http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/bi.1012/b14048/toc.htm), you can call a report like this:
    http://server:port/rwservlet?report=my_report.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=html&p_my_parameter=xxx etcHope this helps,

    Hi,
    You can write your ALV programs in 2 methods by making use of classes or by making use of reuse function modules.
    You can go through the following standard programs.
    BCALV_FULLSCREEN_DEMO
    BCALV_FULLSCREEN_DEMO_CLASSIC

  • How to invoke Oracle Reports from JSP ?

    Hi,
    I need to invoke Oracle Reports ( paper format ) from my JSP in different formats /PDF, RTF, HTML/ using rwservlet and then send the content to user browser.
    Please, someone to give me working example.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.
    Peter.

    Peter,
    you can call it from a URL if you need:
    /reports/rwservlet?report=...&detype=cache&desformat=pdf...
    You can define a file called cgicmd.dat on teh server that takes key-value pairs of the most common parameters under an named entry.
    e.g.
    ReportsCommon: destype=cache server=myServer ... %*
    This way your URL is reduced to a minimum length because you don't have to list all parameters in teh URL.
    Second solution:
    Run a Reports from a browser URL and specify paramform=yes. This create a HTML based parameter form before executing teh Reports. Have a look at the HTML form code and see to what extend your Reports share same functionality so that you could create this HTML form in your JSP page. You could have a poplist with the name of "desformat" and list HTML, HTMLCSS,PDF,RTF,XML as valid entries so that the user can select the output format.
    The Reports documentation shipped with Oracle9iAS (also available online otn.oracle.com/products/reports) has all teh information you need.

  • How to print report from JSP Page

    Hi Everybody,
    I am developing a simple project in JSP with MS Access. I hav some tables and reports for them. I hav a JSP page which gets inputs from user and save it in the table. Its working fine. But my problems are,
    1) I hav a button called "SAVE & PRINT" in that bottom of the page, if i click that button, the currently entered data has to save in the table and the same data has to print from the MS Access report. I dont know how to print this report from JSP page.
    2) Another button called "REPRINT". If i click that button, it has to ask a number to print the report page, that number is nothing but a field in that report.
    Could anyone help me to solve this problem.

  • Generate Jasper report in JSP

    Hi all,
    im currently doing some research on jasper. Im totally new to this and wish if somebody can give some tips on how to start off..Below are some of my questions..
    1. After compile and create the report design using iReport, does it means when we've got our XML response from server ,we just feed in the fields accordingly to the .jasper file we've created earlier on OR we have to concurrently design,and compile report and send XML request to server...
    2. Can provide me with some ideas of how to generate jasper report in JSP where the whole process is inclusive of passing XML request to server..retrieving data..formatting..passing result set to XML response ...may i know when is the process of generating jasper start off in between of this?
    Please advise, im really blurred at the moment...
    Thx a million...

    Probably its better to ask it at JasperReports Forums:

  • Using Crystal reports in JSP

    Hi,
    I want to use Crystal report in jsp . I am running the jsp files in tomcat apache4.0 server.
    while executing the jsp files in tomcat , following class files are not being found:
    import="com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.*,
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.data.*,
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.*
    can anyone plz tell where to get the required JAR file containing this classes or how to use crystal report in jsp.
    Regards,
    tommy

    The jars should be in your installed Crystal Reports folder( \Crystal Decisions\..\java\lib or something like that...). The problem is that your server (Tomcat and others) ignores the system classpath completely (it sets its own in its startup script).
    Therefore, in order for Tomcat to find the jars, those jars have to be placed in in %CATALINA_HOME%\common\lib\. There, they will be available for all your applications. If you don't want them available globally, put them in your particular webapp's WEB-INF\lib directory.

  • Reporting in JSP,JAVA

    Hi all,
    Can i know how to call Intelliview Report from JSP
    any body did it?

    I dont think you have a memory leak. I think the problem is the xml file is 1000000 records long and takes up too much memory. Even if you find a way to increase memory size, you are loading down the server too much for other people's applications to run. I suggest instead reading up on xml and learning how to read in only a few records at a time, processing it, and getting the next set of records to process. There are two methods to parse an xml file using an xml parser, one is to parse it all and put it in memory, the other is to process one record at a time (an xml book explains it better).
    However, I question why you have reports that are 1000000 records long. end-users cannot effectively use such records (you cant scroll through 1000000 records). I suggest finding a way to greatly decrease the number of records in each file such as by providing just the records a particular user needs to do his job and not all records. For instance, put a textfield on his screen to let him only fetch records within a certain date range.
    Lastly, I suggest putting your code in a try/catch/finally block where the finally block actually closes the objects. Example:
    finally{
    if(conn!=null)
    conn.close();
    }

    Hi,
    Well you just need to create a directory in paste your forms there, and then make an entry in the formsweb.cfg file and forms.conf files. Likewise there are entries for the images and report.

    Hello,
    Simple Webi Reports? If you have experience around Universe then you can use one of them and create simple reports by dragging and dropping objects on the pane.
    Dashboards? Here you can use xcelsius to use your existing webi reports as source for the data (you need to install LIVE office to achieve this).

  • How to deploy Web Layout Report which is embedded in a JSP in 10.1.3 ??

    Hi there,
    we like to create a JSP report with web and paper layout. The paper layout is for pdf and the web layout to fit the page in the whole application. The whole application will be a JSF application running on 10.1.3. The reason why we like to use Reports is the capability of creating pdf and because of a couple of charts we have to build - using chart builder.
    Now the question is how the JSP has to be deployed because the Reports engine is running on another 10.1.2 server. So the JSP itself has to run on 10.1.3 but the Report has to run on 10.1.2 - is it possible, a problem or is it just easy?

  • How to create and deploy a simple jstl applicaton in weblogic 10.3.3

    How to create and deploy a simple jstl applicaton in weblogic 10.3.3

    1) Since JSTL libraries are provided as Web application libraries, they must be deployed before the Web application that is using JSTL functionality is deployed. The libraries can be deployed using the Administration Console or with the command-line weblogic.Deployer tool.
    Here’s an example of deploying a JSTL 1.2 library using the weblogic.Deployer command-line:
    java weblogic.Deployer -adminurl t3://localhost:7001
    -user weblogic -password weblogic
    -deploy -library
    d:/beahome/wlserver_10.3/common/deployable-libraries/jstl-1.2.war
    This command deploys the JSTL 1.2 library using the default library-name, specification-version and implementation-version defined by the MANIFEST.MF in the library.
    After a library is deployed, the extension-name, specification-version and implementation-version of the library can be found in Administration console. This information can also be found in the MANIFEST.MF file of the library WAR file.
    For more information on deploying a Web module refer below URL
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/deployment/deployunits.html
    2) To reference a JSF or JSTL library, a standard web application can define a <library-ref> descriptor in the application’s weblogic.xml file. Here is an example:
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>jsf</library-name>
    <specification-version>1.2</specification-version>
    <implementation-version>1.2.0</implementation-version>
    <exact-match>false</exact-match>
    </library-ref>
    For more information on referencing a Web application library refer below URL
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/programming/libraries.html
    3) Create a sample JSP in your application and JSP should look as shown below
    <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>TestJSTL</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <c:set var="topic" value="JSTL" />
    <c:out value="${topic}" />
    </body>
    </html>
    4) Create WAR and deploy and test.
