How do I bend a group into a spiral?

I have a long group (something like 1" high, 18" wide) and I want to bend it into a spiral. How would I do that? (Near as I can tell, transform will only allow me to arc it 180 degrees--not enough.)

Go to the last message in the link I posted and follow the link there. From the top of the page click and download the file aics_scripts_en.zip to your desktop. Double click the zip file to decompress. Open a new AI document and use the keyboard shortcut Cmd(Ctrl)-F12 to open the folder with the downloaded scripts and click on the Archimedian Spiral script. A spiral path should be generated in the new file. Using the Direct select tool, select and delete about half of the path and then scale it up 500%. Copy the music group from the original file and paste into the new file. Drag the group to the Brushes panel and a dialog will open. Select New Art Brush and say OK. Name it and say OK. Go back to the spiral path and then click on the new brush from the Brushes panel. Now experiment with the stroke size from the Stroke panel and or changing the direction of the brush by double-clicking the brush in the Brush panel and change the direction.

HI,
create a new characteristic (KEA5), choose transfer from SAP-table (the tab. where your fiels is available in material master (MARA)), choose the field from the list of available fields from MARA, enter text, save, activate. Assign the char. to your op. concern. Generate the operating concern.
Aftre this steps the field is in yopur operating concern and the derivation rule can be seen in T-Code KEDR (rule created by SAP automatically). If not, add a derivation rule in KEDR (table lookup).

How to Split/Bend a tabular into 3 parts in a Form?

My questions is how to split a tabular into 3 parts on the canvas.
Say I have a table like following.

In a Form, I would like to show 'table a' in a tabular, but it was cut into 3 parts.
It is like a 3x3 array.
The first 3 records are displayed on the first column, the middle 3 records are in the 2nd column,the last 3 records are in the last column.
1,a     4,d     7,g
2,b     5,e     8,h
3,c     6,f     9,i
When I do the execute_query to this Text Item, I can use Key-up and Key-down to scroll the records.
The reason why I want to make it, just because if the records cannot fit in one screen, I can bend it to the right side.
Can you guys give me any hints or solutions?

I think we have maybe a communication problem.
I interpreted your question to be how to separate two paragraphs top and bottom, but now it looks more like you want to separate multi-paragraph "sections" into two parts top and bottom, and yo are coorect, what I suggested does not do that.
What MIGHT work would be to put text frames on the master pages, two on each, one above the other (and these two frames can actually overlap to allow for content of different lengths). The two top frames should have vertical alignment set to top, the lower frames should be set to bottom. Thread the top frame on the left to the bottom frame on the left, then the top frame on the right and the bottom frame on the right.
If the paragraph style for the first paragraph in any "section" is set to start in next frame you should jump from frame to frame each time you hit a new section, and the there will never be more than two sections on a page, with the maximum gap available (though if there is a particularly long section, you might need to artificially adjust a frame height to create a gap, especially if the frames overlap), no matter how many paragraphs appear in the section:
The threading here looks confusing. The top frames extend not quite to the bottom, and the lower frames come not quite to the top, so the outport on the upper frame is lower on the page than the inport on the lower frame. I'vew added numbers so you can see the sequence.

How to get gmail contacts "groups" into the Touch

In gmail I have my contacts organized into in groups. When I sync, all the contacts show up but the gmail groups structure is not there. The groups page on the Touch lists "All Contacts", "All from my PC", etc. This is completely useless. Is there a way to preserve Google groups on the Touch? thanks

How are you accessing gmail on the iPhone?
If you are simply going to the mobile site, there is no way to accomplish what you want.
If you have it set up as POP3 or IMAP4, these only pull email, not contacts.
You can set up Gmail as an exchange account and sync contacts, calendar, and mail.

How to map 2 AD groups into 2 different LOCAL Identity Groups in ACS5.2?

hi guis!
i want to map 2 groups from external AD to 2 internal groups. like it was in 4.x. can someone advise me how to do this?

In order to map 2 different AD groups to 2 different local Identity groups we will need to do the following.
Assuming that the ACS is already Joined to a domain for example csco.com
1. we need to populate the concerned 2 AD groups in
Users and Identity Stores > External Identity Stores > Active Directory > Directory Groups tab.
To do this please follow the steps given in the following link "Selecting an AD Group"

Once we have the 2 groups populated in there we now need to create a Group mapping policy under the concerned Access Service to map each AD group to the internal group (Internal groups need to be created prior).
1. Make sure group mapping policy option is enabled for the concerned Access Service.
Access Policies > Select the Access Service > Edit
Under General Tab > Policy Structure > Make sure "Group Mapping" is checked
2. Configure group mapping under the Access Service. (Lets say the Access Service name is "Default Network Access")
Access Policies > Default Network Access > check the Radio button "Rule based result selection"
3. Configure a rule
Click on Create > Conditions > Check Compound condition >
In the Dictionary choose "AD-AD1"
Attribute Select "ExternalGroups"
Operator "Contains any"
Value > click on select > you should see the the 2 groups of AD added previously > select one for which we making a group mapping
click on add
You should now see a rule in "Current Condition Set"
In results section > Select > the Internal group you want to map it to > click ok
one group mapping is now created. Do exactly the same for the other AD group by creating another rule.
Please save the changes and your group mapping is now ready like the one in ACS 4.
to confirm if it is being used, try authenticating with a user in that AD group and see if the hit counts are increasing on the rule.

How do you get Personal Groups into iphone 5s?

I have a few personal groups on my outlook account that i use quite often. Is there a way i can import the personal groups i have from my outlook account to my iphone 5s? That way when i sent an e-mail, I can just send it to groups instead of typing them individually?
If not, is there a work around or suggestions??

When you ask a question, please include the version of Mac OS X on your computer. iOS is not a Mac operating system.
Assuming you are running OS 10.9.1:
Open Contacts. Click File in the menu bar and select New Group. Enter the name of the group in Contacts on the left.
Go back to All Contacts (on the left) then drag and drop the names you want in that group on to the folder you just named.
Repeat as necessary for other groups.
Note that the names remain, as they should, in All Contacts, even after you have added them to a group.. You can delete a group if you want. The names will still remain in All Contacts.

SRM-MDM-CAT How to map images in Groups

Dear all,
can anybody please explain to me how I can map images in groups to articles?
What I did yet:
1. Import Images from different suppliers into MDM. Each Supplier has his own image group. Am I right if I think the images in a group are unique? So two or more images can have the same name in different groups and I then have different pictures?
2. Now I want to map my articles to these pictures with the import manager. I have the fields: supplier (=group), article_numer and image.
So how can I map the group into import manager? I only see the image field?

Hi Roman,
are you uploading the picture files directly into the repository or you only using hyperlinks?
By hyperlinks you can map this directly in the import manager. The image you have to import.
If you have all the needed pictures in the rep., then you have to map this in Data Manager.
There you have to select the items, which should have the same picture and in Image you can select the picture. Don't forget to save the changes!

I was trying to move several albums onto a USB drive and it stated all other files exist at this location. They are pictures taken at different times and have the same number I guess.

In iPhoto albums may contain photos with the same file name - iPhoto handles that just fine
If you are exporting them to move somewhere else use the sequential file name feature of export to give each file a unique name

You’re going to have a very big problem and very soon. These missing pics are the beginning of trouble.
the total size of all my folders on my 60gb internal drive is 46.5 gb, yet only 1.9 gb is available,
OS X needs about 10 gigs of free space on the hard drive for normal OS operations such as virtual memory and temporary files. Without this space the machine slows down as the OS hunts for free space, files become fragmented and applications begin to crash. The risk of data corruption increases exponentially.
You must, as a matter of urgency, make space on the drive. I cannot stress this enough.
You may be able to recover the pics from your camera card using an app such as MediaRecover

I have uploaded photos from the past and they are grouped by dates. How do I seperate those photos into their own folder/album so that I can easily identify the contents. Also, what is the difference between Album, Smart Album and folders?

As a result, there are many events grouped into one library/event/folder/album (not sure of the proper terminology) I'd like to separate them into folders/albums/smart albums so that I can easily identify the contents. How do I do that and do I delete the originals?

It would be good to take the tutorials and learn iPhoto - these are for the previous version but the concepts are the same and much of the command is the same - and it would be a worthwhile investment of time to take the iphoto tutorials - http://www.apple.com/findouthow/photos/ - they are very helpful and will save you a lot of time and frustration. - also the tutorials in iPhoto Help will be helpful - while iPhoto is easy and intuitive it does have a learning curve and it will save you time and pain if you spend a few minutes learning the basics
as to organization - events are generally time based and are the basic automatic organization - you can merge and split them to make them work better for you but they are not a good way to do detailed organization - best to leave them time based
albums are logical things that contain photos and are just pointers to the photo in the event so they take no extra space and all changes to a photo anywhere are reflected everywhere
Smart albums are the same except they are automatically filled based on the criteria you set when you create them
Folders are containers that you create and a folder can contain albums, smart albums or other folders so they are a big help in organization - like a vacation folder that holds folders for France, USA, China with each of thos folders holding albums of photos from the country

The email form does not have an address icon. How do I get a group from the address into the address field of a new email?

The problem is defining what it even means to “embed” a PDF file in the body of an e-mail, especially if you are dealing with a multiple page PDF file.
E-mail is either pure text, rich text (something akin to RTF in Word), or HTML. PDF is not compatible with any of these. Thus, to embed a PDF file, something has to be converted and that means the PDF would be converted to a less graphically rich raster format. But is that what you would really want?
I think that the MacOS and iOS e-mail clients do under some circumstances place an attached PDF file within HTML segments and by clicking on same, you get the equivalent of extracting the full PDF file, but I have no real experience with that.
Another alternative is HTML with a proxy image with a hyperlink to an external PDF file that is invoked when you click on the hyperlink.
Perhaps you can explain what you are really trying to accomplish and what the recipient of such an e-mail's actual experience would be?

How do I put a group of songs into one album? They copied separately into iTunes.

Generally, in iTunes, all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist to keep things together. For older iPods each track from the same album should have the same artist, or be marked as a compilation where appropriate. HT2486 How do I import existing Outlook contact groups into Mac Address Book?

After months of problems with Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac, I am switching to Mac Mail. I seem to have successfully imported my individual contacts into Address Book. However, I have been unsuccessful in figuring out how to import group contacts into Mac Mail.
So far I have created .txt files, (a separate one for each group), listing each e-mail address in that group separated by a comma. Can I input this information into Address Book somehow? If not, how else can I import my groups into Address Book in a more efficient way than manually entering them? Manually dragging and dropping names into each new Address Book group is not an option, since I have about 50 groups with 20-50 people in each of them. It would take me extraordinary amounts of time to do that, not to mention the frustration.
A second question: There are many duplicates listed in my address book. When I select Card>Look for Duplicates, it tells me that No duplicates are found. They most definitely exist, however. How can I erase them without having to manually delete each duplicate?

You can't transfer the groups, you'll need to do it the hard way.
As for the duplicates, how many accounts do you have in your Address Book?
