It does show the aggregate size.
Command-Option-I opens the Inspector window. (Or open the File menu and hold the Option key. Get Info turns into Show Inspector.) The Inspector is similar to the Get Info window but it shows aggregate info for multiple selections. It is also dynamic — if you change the selection while the Inspector is open, the info changes to reflect the current selection.

I have an iMac and MacBook Pro. I use Apple's Mail application on each computer and have three email accounts that are feeding into it. I currently synchronize everything through MobileMe. I want to know how to calculate how many MB (probably several GB!) of space my email messages are now using, as I want to upgrade to Lion on the two computers and will soon be getting a 32BG iPad on which I would like to use the Mail application as well. I'd like to know in advance if I need to pay for more than the 5GB of free storage that iCloud will give me before making these changes, as I don't want to lose my email messages. For various reasons, I'd prefer not to go the route of archiving the messages. I can't figure out how to calculate how much space the messages are currently using.
The important detail is the cylinders not the partition numbers. The partitions are simply slots where cylinder space can be assigned if its available.
The backup partition (2) represents the whole disk and shows you have 14086 cylinders available.
But you'll notice that all of those cylinders are already assigned to various partitions. So there is no free space available. -

Date date1 = new Date();
formatter1 = new SimpleDateFormat("hh:mm:ss");
String startTime = formatter1.format(date1);

And I have finish time:
Format formatter2;
Date date2 = new Date();
formatter2 = new SimpleDateFormat("hh:mm:ss");
String finishTime = formatter2.format(date2);
//finishTime = "08:30:55";
So, after manually calculating, I get total time: "18:10:15"
How can I calculate the total time in java? (Using formatter1 and formatter2 I suppose)

What can be a problem?Because, like I said, a Date measure an instant in time, not a duration. So when you have 5000 ms, and you turn that into a Date, that means 5 sec. after the epoch, which works out to 1/1/1970 00:00:05.000 GMT.
As I mentioned, if you're not currently in GMT, then you have to set the TZ of the DateFormat to GMT. Right now, it's showing you the time in your TZ. If you included the date in your SimpleDateFormat, you'd see either 1/1/1970 or 12/31/1969, depending on which TZ you're in.
Bottom line: You're trying to use these classes in a way they're not meant for, and while you can get the results you want for a limited set of inputs if you understand what these classes do and how to work with that, it's a brittle approach and comes with all kinds of caveats. -

It's jut not obvious that clicking at the header of the first column will restore the established sequence. Even if the listing is re-sorted by artist name or album title, the left column still lists as 1, 2, 3....25 instead of 18, 12, 5, 3... or whatever the different sorting has done to your desired track sequence. The behavior of the numbers in the column makes it look more like a simple track count. It would be nice if there was a "track count" column and a "play order" column whereby if you click on Copy To Play Order off the right click, the "play order" is renumbered to match the "track count" column according to however you currently have the tracks listed. I am new to Solairs9. I use the format utility to list my partitions, but there are many unassigned partitions. I pasted the format response below:

Say if you have to add the unit price (KOMVD-KBERT) then in the main window whereever tat value is picked write this routine

Introduction
We need to loop through all the flat files that have the same structure in a folder and import all the data to a single SQL Server table. How can we obtain the total count of the rows inserted to the destination SQL Server table?
Solution
We can use Execute SQL Task or Script Task to aggregate the row count increment for each iteration of the Foreach Loop Container. The following steps are the preparations before we add the Execute SQL Task or Script Task:
Create a String type variable FilePath, two Int32 type variables InsertRowCnt and TotalRowCnt.
Drag a Foreach Loop Container to the Control Flow design surface, set the Enumerator to “Foreach File Enumerator”, specify the source folder and the files extension, and set the “Retrieve file name” option to “Fully qualified”.
On the “Variable Mappings” tab of the container, map the variable FilePath to the collection value.
Drag a Data Flow Task to the container, in the Data Flow Task, add a Flat File Source, a Row Count Transformation, and an OLE DB Destination, and join them. Create a Flat File Connection Manager to connect to one of the flat files, and then configure the
Flat File Source as well as the OLE DB Destination adapter. Set the variable for the Row Count Transformation to “User::InsertRowCnt”.
Open the Property Expressions Editor for the Flat File Connection Manager, and set the expression of “ConnectionString” property to
“@[User::FilePath]”.
(I) Execute SQL Task Method:
In the Control Flow, drag an Execute SQL Task under the Data Flow Task and join them.
Create one or using any one existing OLE DB Connection Manager for the Execute SQL Task, set the “ResultSet” option to “Single row”, and then set the “SQLStatement” property to:

If in this scenario, please refer to the following tips:
The Foreach Loop container should be configured as shown below:
Enumerator: Foreach ADO.NET Schema Rowset Enumerator
Connection String: The OLE DB Connection String for the excel file.
Schema: Tables.
In the Variable Mapping, map the variable to Sheet_Name, and change the Index from 0 to 2.
The connection string for Excel Connection Manager is the original one, we needn’t make any change.
Change Table Name or View name to the variable Sheet_Name.

I'll do a Restore, but I do not know the environment and need to know what the total size of the database to create a storage area.
Is there any way to find out the total size of the database(including all datafiles and temp) using only the RMAN catalog before running the Restore.
I'm using Tivoli TSM with ASM.

At the end of the Restore Database got the size of 408 Gbytes.
The total size of all Redo was 3Gbytes that was not being counted anyway there was a difference of 33Gbytes.
I need to understand the reason for the difference in sizes.
It makes no sense to me RMAN catalog does not inform the total size of the database (Datafiles, tempfiles, Redo and controlfile) before the Restore since it's information is already somewhere.

HiI want to be able to calculate the exact size of the data given the number of blocks in existence.I am trying to work out a way of estimating the effect of changing Dimensions from Spare to Dense and to see which Dimensions would be worth it.Currently I have Cost Centre and Reference Code dimensions. I know that roughly 90% of the Cost Centres are used against just one member of Reference Codes but the other 10% are against multiple Reference Codes.I also have a number of other dimensions and the problem I come up against is that when I change a Dimension from Sparse I really don't know how many blocks will be in existence at the end of it so I can't multiply this against the blocksize to predict the total datasize.Any thoughts (the artistic "suck it and see" solution is obvious but I'd like to cut down on experiments - they take too long)Thanks
