How do I create stand alone smaller?

All,
I need to be able to store in Stand Alone mode in a web
folder. Unfortunately, I cannot use HTML as I can only store one
file per folder. Therefore, I "think" Stand Alone is the only
deployment option. My 5 minute full motion (it needs to be)
software simulation is now 22 Meg. A heafty load considering I need
to be able to create probably 25 more of the same length.
What am I missing?
Thanks!

  • HT201485 My iphone won't let me download apps and refers me to my computer for verification. My computer will not access itunes due network issue. How to make iphone stand alone for downloads & updates.

In iTunes my iPhone refers me to iTunes on my computer for verification. iTunes won't work on my computer. How can both my iPhone and iPad stand alone?

Turns out that when my iPod Touch was restored, the restrictions had been turned ON for Facebook and several other apps. This is what was preventing the Facebook app from accessing my Camera Roll for picture downloads. This is odd since all of my iPod backups would not have had those settings turned on. This is also the first time this has occurred given the few times I've had to restore my iPod Touch.
Anyway if you experience the same behavior from your iPod or iPhone with iOS 8.0.2, just go to the General settings and review your settings under Restrictions. Once you set them to allow for changes, you should be back in business.

  • How to add a stand alone table from Physical layer to Business Model

    Hi,
I have tables from 2 different database sources in my Physical Layer.
My Business model currently uses only tables from one database. from my second database in teh physical layer I need only one table and that will be a stand alone table, to my Presentation layer.
    1. Does it have to go through my Business layer or can it be directly added to the Presentation layer. What are the steps?
    2. Can I restrict the permissions on that stand alone table only to the administrator?
    Thank you.

1)create a view with single column using the sql (select 1 from dual) in physical layer and join it with the table using complex join in physical layer (1=1).
Move that to BMM, set the column as key in both physical and bmm layer.
    2) You can restrict the access for the table presentation layer
Double click the presentation layer table -> Permission -> there you can restrict the access by user or group
    Thanks,

  • How to call a stand alone java application from ADF BC JSP, struts or JSF

    Hi,
My requirement is that there are utilities or stand alone java applications that I want to call from our existing applications.
We have two seperate applications one ADF BC Struts application we developed using JDeveloper 10.1.2 and another ADF BC JSF application we developed using JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.
We want to integrate applications like JTwain and others to help us in scanning. The application will be placed on the same server as our application. How can I do this without loosing all the current session information.
    Please help.
    Thanks and regards,

    There are two possible solutions.
First, if the tool or application you want to integrate, has an Java-API you can use this api and integrate the tool in your application (using one or more jars you add to the classpath).
Second, if the tool has no java api, you can call the tool via runtime.exec(...) as a shell process. This way you open a command shell in you application and execute the tool like you do on a normal command shell.
For tide integration and control I recommend the first approach. The second one is only for those tools which don't offer a java api.

  • How to manage coherence stand-alone servers

I have some qustions about the management of coherence stand alone servers:
    1) Is there a command to stop in a controlled way a server? (now we kill the server process )
    2) Is there a way to monitor the server execution in order to catch problems or errors
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Giancarlo,
    1) Is there a command to stop in a controlled way a
server? (now we kill the server process )This is one way to do it. I also think you can use JMX to call CacheFactory.shutdown() (i.e. graceful) prior to killing the JVM.
    2) Is there a way to monitor the server execution in
order to catch problems or errorsWhat errors are you seeing? Really you should not see any at the Cache Server level.
Take a look a the new Coherence Management Framework (JMX) included in the Coherence 3.0 pre-release.

  • How to make a stand alone app?

I have played aroung with Java fore the last eighteen months or so. I feel a lot more comfortable with it than I used to, and as my confidence grows I am trying to come up with real life situations where my programming could help. Nothing to ambitious but just little apps that other people could use (probably non-programmers at that).
Up to now I have wrote applets that run in browsers, which serve their purpose, but because of the security restrictions applets have limitations. I have wrote apps and run them from either a DOS prompt or from JPadPro. What I have got used to with the internet downloading little apps that once installed I can simply double click on the desk-top icon and away we go. I was wondering whether java has anything like that to offer? I believe that the Java Web Start is to do with this sort of matter, but everytime I open it my P.C. crashes.
I am looking for a way to present my apps so that non technical people would use. Any advice would be received gratefully, Dave.

You can buy programs which will turn your .class file into a .exe file, but the key word is buy. I have yet to find a free one that dosn't put some disclamer up when you run your program. I personally prefer using an excecutable jar to run my stand alone apps. It still requires the JRE to be installed on the client PC but you can just include that with your program and have the user install it on thier PC if they don't already have it on there. For information on making an executable jar, you should search the forums, I remeber seeing a user made tutorial in there somewhere that was very helpful to me. This site also has some tutorials on doing it as well, but somethings in it are not so clear. Good Luck.

  • How to deploy java stand alone applications

I need to find information on how to deploy java classes to just run time clients.
I appretiate any help on this.

Probably yes. It is possible to write a lunch application. But what considerations do I have to take. Let's say, Since Forte for Java 4 does not use CLASSPATH environment variable, How do I tell the JRE where my classes are located? I tried running
    javaw c:\directory\classname.class
...but I receive a message saying that the main class was not found...
Do you know why this could be?

  • How can I publish a stand-alone file with Captivate 8?

I have just downloaded the new Captivate 8, but I an not sure how to publish a stand-alone, interactive file now.  In previous versions, one could publish an .exe file that didn't require a browser to work.  In the new version, there appears to be two options: HTML 5/SWF or video. The video option publishes a .mp4.  Is there still a way to publish a .exe?
    Thank you!

Frankly I am a little tired of Adobe stonewalling on the issue of removing exe and dmg publication facility from Adobe Captivate 8.  What a load of flimsy excuses from Adobe!!!!  In Cap 7 I exported to exe and dog all the time and I truly miss this facility.  Why does Adobe remove a perfectly good facility when upgrading?
It all makes me believe that Captivate 8 was rushed out without much thought other than to get a 'not working correctly' responsive design bit built in.  Did they not think about customer research?
And so, I've just paid over £300 to upgrade to a version of Captivate (8) I won't be using much.  This disgusts me and I am sure I am not alone.
And yes, why is Captivate not part of Creative Cloud?  I ask this question and I have asked it before.  Adobe will NEVER answer this question.
Adobe.  Please try and LISTEN to what your customers are saying.

  • Optional applications selected via UDI interface and stand alone media

I'm running SCCM 2012 sp1 with MDT integration.   I'm using a UDI from MDT to set some basic machine informatoin for imaging (select the OU in the domain, etc).  I also have some optional apps that a tech can select from the UDI to install during
    the TS.
All is working great with network based installations.  However, I have a need for some installations using stand alone media.  Is there a way to create stand alone media that will include those optional apps in the MDT UDI so that those apps can
install during the TS?   I don't think there is, but there are more brilliant minds than mine out there so I thought I would ask.  Maybe there's a way to generate stand alone media via a PS script or something, and have it include the additional
packages so they are on the media and can be called via the TS when it runs.
    Thanks!

The root cause of this issue has nothing to do with UDI really, it is just the fact that installing applications using dynamic base variables is not supported in standalone media.  As you say everything has to be directly referenced by the task sequence
    for it to work.
We had this same issue a couple of years ago in ConfigMgr 2007 and ended up building our own standalone media wizard using the SDK.  Sounds like a lot of work I know, but for us it was well worth it.  We have just migrated it to ConfigMgr
2012 and updated it to support the app model.
The reason it made sense for us to invest the time in it was because we are a fairly large enterprise (160,000 seats) with a single task sequence used worldwide.  The Windows 7 configuration requirements (not just in terms of app deployment) vary
dramatically from one country to another, but using variables to control deployment we have managed to retain a single TS but let the child site admins have some flexibility.  As we have many small branches/agencies with no ConfigMgr infrastructure we
had to come up with a solution which retained and reused the single TS design but also worked offline.  Standalone media is used to deploy Windows 7 to thousands of users.  Getting the local apps to install wasn't our only issue, the size
of the media was also a problem due to the number of dependencies required to support deployment in every country (drivers, language packs, x86+x64 etc.).
So our standalone media wizard does this:
Reads in the collection variables (used to customise deployment, deploy apps etc.)
Prompts the user for various options like x86/x64, HW types etc.
Creates a copy of the global TS, the wizard then modifies the copy so that a custom TS is created dynamically just for the media.
It disables any unwanted actions in the local TS to remove drivers, x86/x64, language packs etc.
Adds install application actions for each of the apps specified in the dynamic app install variables.
Prompts user for normal standalone media options like ISO, USB, Password, DPs etc.
Creates media based on local/temporary TS.
Deletes the local/temporary TS when complete.
This solves the issue for zero touch deployment but does it work with UDI?  Well the answer is yes and no.  We do use UDI (but again built with the MDT UDI SDK).  Out of the box, the answer is no.  UDI brings a slightly different
issue in that not only are the apps not referenced by the TS (so they are not in the media) but you are also then trying to dynamically change which apps are installed during deployment.  So even if the apps are directly referenced and in the media,
you still have to develop a way of controlling which TS app install actions run based on the user selection.
If you are willing to spend some time with the SDK then it can be done, you just may not find this worthwhile depending on the scale of your environment.
    Mark.

  • Smartview 11.1.2 and Stand Alone Essbase

    Hi,
I am migrating some applications for a client and they are interested in using Smartview 11.1.2.
Currently, they are using the add in with their 9.2 environment and I just migrated all their apps to essbase 11.1.2 which is pretty slick. I installed the add in for 11.1.2 and that is working fine.
However, I know there is an interest in going to planning so they wanted to set up smart view as well. They don't use shared services but use native security in essbase. So when I am trying to establish the URL connection in Smartview 11.1.2 I am not able to connect to the shared service provider. These are the URL's i tried with both a shared and a private connection to attempt to connect to stand alone essbase in smartview 11.1.2:
    http:server:13080/aps/APS
    http:server:13080/aps/smartview
    http:server:19000/workspace/SmartViewProviders
I didn't think the workspace URL would work since they aren't using worksapce. Any ideas on how to connect to stand alone, no shared service essbase for smartview using 11.1.2?
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks,
    DQ
Edited by: DQ on Jul 5, 2010 12:00 PM

In private connections type http:server:13080/aps/SmartView. The url is case sensitive you had http:server:13080/aps/smartview.
While on the topic, two points that I would like to mention:
1- I don't believe Essbase 11.1.2 still has native security but I will have to confirm.
2- Workspace gets installed by default in 11.1.2 and http:server:19000/workspace/SmartViewProviders is the right url to use for shared connections.

  • Lightroom stand-alone licensing problem

    Hi all,
I've been using Lightroom 5.6 on a trial basis for a couple of weeks and I want to go ahead and purchase a stand-alone license. So I downloaded the "full" version of LR from Adobe and started it up (no problems reading my existing LR catalogue). Then I get the "Welcome to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom" dialog. Two options: "I have a serial number and want to license Lightroom" or "I want to try". So I select the first option, then underneath it says "Need a serial number?" with a "Buy" button. At the bottom under "Country/Region" I select "Canada" where I'm from. When I click on "Buy" my browser opens. For just two seconds a screen appears at the URL http://www.adobe.com/store_selector/storeselector.html, where it looks like I'm supposed to identify my country/region again. But immediately the browser is redirected to the Product Catalog (http://www.adobe.com/ca/products/catalog.html). But here there is no option to buy a stand alone license. If I click on the Lightroom link it just takes me to the general product info page, with no option to buy except from Creative Cloud (which I don't want).
Anyone know how to buy a stand-alone license for Lightroom?
    Thanks,
    Alex

Go to your Adobe website (Canada), MENU, All Products and select Lightroom (Full or Upgrade - If you have a previous copy).

  • Are stand alone LV applications compiled in Win2000 portable to WinNT and Win95?

I recently upgraded from LV 5 to LV6.1 and at the same time upgraded my developement PC from WinNT to Win2000.
I have successfully created stand alone applications (with the App. Builder) which run on other Win2000 PCs, but the installer doesn't want to run on a WinNT PC. I am including the LV runtime engine with the application installer.
Can an executable compiled in Win2000 be installed on WinNT and Win95 PCs?
Does the LV Run Time Engine need to be installed separately?
(Or is there maybe just some thing wrong with the WinNT PC?)
    Thanks
    Tim.S

I develop on Win2K as well, and I haven't had any trouble (knock on wood) running these apps on Win9x/NT4. The only issues I've seen were installation issues; Windows 95 doesn't come with the Windows Installer service, which is used by installers created with the LabVIEW 6.1 Application Builder. The target directory for your installation should have included InstMsiA.exe and InstMsiW.exe, which will add the Windows Installer service to any machine that doesn't have it. Are you putting these files on your install disc along with setup.exe?
You may want to try manually adding the Windows Installer service to the target PC. You can download it for free at http://download.microsoft.com/download/WindowsInstaller/Install/2.0/W9XMe/EN-US/InstMsiA.exe for Win9x or
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/WindowsInstaller/Install/2.0/NT45/EN-US/InstMsiW.exe for WinNT.
You can also try installing the LV Runtime Engine separately on the target PC and just copying your program's executable over, but that shouldn't be necessary. One more thing to check is that the user installing your program is logged in with sufficient privileges on the target PC.
One more alternative would be to copy the entire contents of your development PC's LabVIEW 6.1 Runtime folder (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\6.1) onto the target PC, into the same folder where your app lives. Again, this shouldn't be necessary but is one more way to get the LabVIEW RTE onto the end user's computer.

  • Stand Alone Text

I am using a template with Motion 3.0 which is taking my created text and sweeping it across the canvas when I would like to have the text stand by itself without the movement. I know that I saw a tutorial where one can create stand alone text but haven't been able to find it. Any ideas which might point this novice in the right direction?

    Which template?
You should be able to just deactivate or delete the behavior that is imparting the movement.

That probably means that you're not looking at a bug in Photoshop, but a problem with a driver - and the most likely cause would be your video card driver.
And sure enough, your video card driver is almost 2 years out of date.
Please go to NVidia's website and get the latest driver - then follow their directions for installation (so you don't get bits of old driver left over).

  • How do you create a stand alone application using DAQmx when your application SCXI hardware isn't on the computer I am using to create the application?

How do you create a stand alone application using DAQmx when your application SCXI hardware isn't on the computer I am using to create the application? The DAQmx assitant won't allow me to create a task with hardware that isn't in my system.

You will need to have at least the DAQ device in your computer to add the chassis. When you add the chassis, don't auto detect the modules. You will have to add the terminal blocks and tell MAX which SCXI module will be connected to the DAQ device. Just make sure you don't test the chassis, when its not there.
    I hope this helps.
