They will also be listed in 'Previous Recipients' in Mail. You should also delete them there.

I have also closed iTunes, reset network settings on the iPad, then shut down and restarted the iPad. Still, I end up with greyed out rectangular icons for all the movies I've ever streamed from my Mac Mini to my ipad via my home wireless router.
Again, I have watched all the way to the end of the movie, selcted the movie in iTunes and chosen "mark as watched", and then deleted it in ITunes.
Any ideas?

hello, you can delete your current private data and history in the ''settings menu > privacy''. if you open sensitive websites you can do so in a private tab - then they won't appear in your history or the top sites list.

Is there a way I can delete the Edit History Log? I use Photoshop CS5 and have used the History Log (that shows in File Info) to keep a record of the edits I've made to my images. I want to send the images digitally (by email) but do Not want the recipient to be able to see the edits that have been made. For various reasons I do Not want to use 'save for web' (which I know would allow me to delete the metadata, including the History Log). Is there some other way to delete (or make inaccessible) the History Log (or all the metadata) before sending the file digitally?

It seems you can't do this anymore from the iphone/ipad appstore which is a real problem.
It seems though that you can do this via the iTunes app.
Go to the app store > purchased history
From there all your apps bought will appear.
Mouse over on the app icon you want to hide, an x icon will appear on the top left. Click the icon and the app will disappear.
Close your app store on your iphone/ipad, launch it again and the app should have disappeared.
Although, I don't know if it "hides" or "erases" the app from your history, there's no explanation...
This should be a solution while they FIX THIS in the next update!!

If Private Browsing doesn't do it, try Settings-Safari-Advanced-Website Data-Remove All Websitre Data.
Or changing Settings-Safari-Autofill to OFF.
You might also try Settings-Safari and Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
As you can see, there are several controls for Safari. Which one works depends on what your problem is.

If you close Safari completely e.g. via the taskbar, and then go into Settings > Safari and click Clear History and Clear Cache, then when you re-open Safari you should just get an empty page.

You can't delete your purchase history, you can only hide it (in iTunes on your computer).

Thanks cupidlucid, I had the same problem today on my iPad mini and your tip solved it.
Skype suddently showed a high number (56) in the red cicle but I had no new calls or messages.
The suggestion of closing the app (double-clicking home button and "throwing" out the app) and then re-opening Skype fixed the error on my end.
Hope this helps future users.
