How do I download a movie from iTunes that I bought for my kids to watch later without Internet?
I Bought a movie for the kids. they want to watch during travel. Keeps saying to download but I did at home.
No, you don't need to plug into your computer as long as you have a WiFi connection. If you are connected to WiFi, just tap the cloud icon and the movie will start to download. Just keep an eye on it this time and make sure that the download circle shows progress. Don't disconnect from WiFi until the movies have finished downloading.
You can also check the download progress in the Downloads tab of the iTunes app on the iPad.

before downloading the movie, go iTunes > preferences > advanced and point iTunes media folder location to the external.
iTunes will put new additions to your library where ever iTunes media folder location is pointed. -

Syncing is done via iTunes to the computer as far as music is concerned. Once the phone is connected to the computer/iTunes, then select the phone. On the tabs across the top, select the Music tab, and select what music you want to sync. Which version of iTunes do you have on the computer?

I had an old DELL in college and a 120gig ipod. Both the computer and ipod have, "gone to a better place," and now i have a MAC Book Pro and the iphone 4. On my old computer i had bought and downloaded various tv shows, movies, and music from itunes. I am wondering if it is possible to recover those products that I had bought a few years ago and transfer them onto my new computer and itunes account. They are seemingly lost and it bothers me because I bought them and I feel as if they should be mine regardless of having a new computer and iphone. Somebody please help me. thank you
Depending upon what country that you are in (the types of content that can be re-downloaded varies by country), and whether they are still in the store, you might be able to re-download some/all of them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the left-hand side of the iTunes store home page : re-downloading.

Is the movie still buffering? you may have a slow internet connection. Music files require far less bandwidth than movies.

Icloud cannot be used to increase internal memory of ipads, otherwise nobody would buy more expensive 32, 64, 128 gigabyte versions. Hype with "movies in the cloud" is more of itunes store, keeping movies available for you in order to download on any device. That does not go against your storage in the cloud, though.
So if you go to your computer and you purchased movie ( not rented ) you can download and watch.
There is something else to pay attention to, your ipad (if I am not mistaken) is not capable to run HD movies, make sure you do buy Standard Definition, and they will take less space on ipad. -
We just downloaded a movie from Itunes but the picture is completely scrambled. Audio is fine but all you can see are funny color pixels on the screen..how do we fix this?
The movie is from iTunes. You would think that a download from iTunes to a MacBook could be watched on an HDTV using Apple TV without any headaches bit this does not appear to be the case.
