How do I dynamically open a VI and load values into its connector pane?
I'm trying to open a VI as a prompt to another VI without opening the second VI's front panel until the user clicks OK in the first window. The second VI takes inputs from the first thru its connector pane. How do I dynamically open the second VI?
I think what you mean is call by reference dynamically loading VI's
You can read up on it here
If you want to make a static call to the sub vi just set the Front Panel Options to "Open Front Panel when called"
See here for more info
Hope that answers your question

How to Extract Data from SAP and Load it into Essbase
Hi All,
Can you recommend some ways to extract data from SAP and load it into Essbase?. I have no knowledge about SAP, not sure how I can perform this task. Can I use ODI for this job?
Thankshi,
Not sure if this helps but give a try
you can create connection from EAS to SAP .. using a plug-in .. if you have access to oracle Support go for [ID 968961.1]
or
below are steps
1. In EASPATH\console, open components.xml in a text editor.
2. Under <PluginList>, enter <Plugin archiveName="SAP" packageName="com.essbase.eas.sap.ui"/> before the closing </PlugIn> tag.
3. Save and close the file.
4. In EASPATH\console\bin, open admincon.lax in a text editor.
5. Search for lax.class.path= and append ;..\lib\sap_client.jar;..\lib \sap_common.jar to the entry. Save and close the file.
6. In EASPATH\server\bin, open adminsvr.lax in a text editor.
7. Search for lax.nl.java.option.additional, and append -DRFC_INI=EASPATH\server\saprfc.ini. Save and close the file.
8. Create a new environment variable, RFC_INI, with a value of EASPATH\server\saprfc.ini
9. Copy librfc.dll andsapjcorfc.dll to EASPATH\server\bin. You may need to obtain these files from SAP.
let me know if it works :) -

I used to shoot video in my Powershot S3 IS (Format MVI_.AVI) and load them into iPhoto, I used quicktime pro so I could convert for emailing to family members. That was when I was running Leopard now with Mt. Lion nothing works. Videos do not open at all. Any simple suggestions, I am not real keen on iMovie Productions and not real certain how they compress for emailing attachments. Something simple here that I am missing? Thanks so much. I am a grandpa trying to share with family members far away (quickly & simply).
I am surprised that Apple did not build a converter into Mt. Lion.
Apple does have a converter built into Mountain Lion. It is call "Quicktime." However, in order to use this converter, you must first make sure the compression formats are playback compatible with QT. Basically, there are three levels of QT compatibility. The lowest is "Playback." These file can be played by QT but may not be conversion or edit compatible with QT. The second level is QT "Conversion" compatible. These files are playback compatible and can be converted to other compression formats using QT. "Edit" compatible media files are "Fully" compatible with QT since the can be played, converted and/or edited by QT. The main problem here is that AVI is a "legacy" file format that has not been officially supported by Microsoft for more than 11 years when it was replaced by Windows Media multimedia file/compression formats. Many of the original compression formats used in AVI files have never been transcoded for the Mac platform, use beyond system 9, or use beyond PPC platforms. In addition, some commonly used AVI codecs are proprietary or use non-standard (hybrid) profile and level combinations. In short, there is little wonder that Apple has been distancing itself from this outdated file type as it re-writes and upgrades its own QT structure to support more standardized, more scalable, more modern high definition file types and compression formats. It is really unfortunate that users continue to use this outmoded file type simply because it is freely available, easy to use, or they are simply too lazy to move on to a more modern or more efficient file types and/or compression formats.
I tested Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate for the Mac, which seems to be the "state of the art". I may be purchasing a new camera which might create a whole new set of variables. This program seems to cover all bases and is great for novices.
There are many third-party apps available if you wish to search for them. Many are even available in the App Store. Most do their job well and it is usually a matter of personal user preference as to which is best.
HandBrake seems more suited to folks with more experience and knowledge.
I mentioned Handbrake primarily because it is free and easy to use when you employ the included conversion presets options. (The TV options can normally be used for almost any situation depending on the source file and output requirements.) It is also excellent for more experienced users, but has a somewhat limited choice of output options as it does not access the user's system QT codec component configuration. -
How to parse XML Column and insert values into a table
Hello,
I am working on a simple project to demonstrate how to load and extract XML using SQL, I have already made a table that contains a column of XMLTYPE and loaded an XML file into it (code below)
create or replace directory XMLSRC as 'C:\XMLSRC';
drop table Inventory;
create table Inventory(Inv XMLTYPE);
INSERT INTO Inventory VALUES (XMLTYPE(bfilename('XMLSRC', 'Inventory.xml'),nls_charset_id('AL32UTF')));
select * from Inventory;
I now however need to get the XML data back out of that and loaded into a new table. Troubleshooting guides I have read online seem to only be dealing with parsing an external XML document and loading it into a table, and not what I need to do which is parse a column of XML data and load that into a table. The project trivial with simple tables containing only 3 columns.
The table that needs to be loaded is as follows:
create table InventoryOut(PartNumber Number(10), QTY Number(10), WhLocation varchar2(500));
The XML document is as follows:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<dataroot xmlns:od="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:officedata" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="Inventory.xsd" generated="2012-04-09T17:36:30">
<Inventory>
<PartNumber>101</PartNumber>
<QTY>12</QTY>
<WhLocation>WA</WhLocation>
</Inventory>
</dataroot>
Thank you for any help you can offer.First of all, thank you for your help!! Still stunned that you actually took the time to write out an eample using my tables/names/etc. Thank you!!
Attached is the code, there seems to be an issue with referencing the other table, Inventory.Inv, I checked and that table and the Inv column are showing up in the database so I am not sure why it is having issues locating them, take a look at the code I wrote as well as the output (*I included the real version number for you this time :)
EDIT: In your code right here:
select xt.*
3 from Inventory inve,
4 XMLTable('/dataroot/Inventory'
5 PASSING inve.Inv
I think is where I am messing it up, perhaps not understanding fully what is going on, as you write "Inventory inve" and "inve.Inv" ---- Is inve a keyword that I am just not familiar with? I think this is where the issues lies in my code.
END EDIT
EDIT2: Well that looks like it was it, changed that to how you have it and it now works!!! Could you please explain what that few lines is doing, and what the xt.* and inve are doing? Thanks again!!!
END EDIT2
drop table InventoryOut;
create table InventoryOut (PartNumber number(10), QTY number(10), WhLocation varchar2(500));
insert into InventoryOut (PartNumber, QTY, WhLocation)
select xt.*
from Inventory Inv,

I recently purchased a music video and a television show episode off of Itunes. It was in my liabrary until I plugged in my Ipod nano 4th generation for it to sync. As my ipod is syncing the music video and tv show episode were'nt in my liabrary and they didn't sync onto my ipod. Yet when I log into my itunes store account the purchsed content is there. How do I get the music video and tv episode into my itunes library and onto my ipod?
My guess (and it is just a guess) is that what you are trying to do is no different than recording a TV programme to a VCR then watching it at a time of your convenience, probably the main reason why people have purchased VCRs, PVRs and the like.
However, with commercially produced DVDs, there is an encryption built in to prevent copying, and it the discussion of how to overcome this encryption that Apple will not permit on their forums. -

Open an Excel file to read and load it into Oracle - Oracle COM Automation
Hello All,
Please I need your help for this problem:
I need to load Excel sheet data (read the data) and load it into Oracle database (insert into a table), the excel file created and has data before, and saved with xls format. and I need to do that using the Oracle® COM Automation (ordcom package). The examples I found open and create a new workbook and deletes the old saved data, so I need to open (edit) the sheet just for reading.
I appreciate ans sample code to help me do that, Please help me out. This is very urgent.
Thanks alot and best regards,
NabilFor reading from Excel, there are some easy ways like Oracle Heterogenious Services. If you want to use COM then:

Hi Guys 'n' Gals!
I have a problem with my computer not going into 'Display Sleep' mode but actually goes into full Computer Sleep mode. Anyone know how to keep my Mac running software and not go into full sleep after I have set it to 'Never' go into 'Computer Sleep' within the 'energy saving' section!
Any ideas guys?

Choose the appropriate method. -
My iPhone 4 will not turn on, when I plug it into my computer and load up iTunes its in recovery mode and the only option is to restore my device to factory settings, I have no back up of my phone I've also tried the home/sleep button thing but nothing, I have literally done every method I was told, I checked for water damage and that's fine. I don't want to restore my phone or buy a new one or pay for repairs because that's wasting money when it could be a simple way to fix it. And yes, I've also tried charging it and turning it in. I really need some help with my phone
That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

1.is it possible to read a .xls file and load it into an oracle table
1.is it possible to read a .xls file and load it into an oracle table, using oracle database or oracle forms i.e. either utl_file, or text_io, or any other oracle tool.
As far as I know we need a csv file or a txt ( tab delimited) file ?
2.Are there any windows tools for the sameHi,
If you want to use the DDE package to read the XLS file then yes, you will neeed to know the number of rows and columns in the input file.
i.e. How will you know :
1) How many columns are there in the input file.
If I have a XLS file with the following data :
R1C1 R1C2 R1C3 R1C4 R1C5 R1C6 R1C7
xxx xx x
Where R represents row and C represents column, then how will you know the each row has 7 columns. If you know the answer upfront, then it's not a issue.
Using the DDE apprach, you will have to specify the RowNum and the ColumnNo of each idividual cells to read/write data from xls sheet.
Look at the syntax in my ealier post.
using the other approch (i.e. comma delimited text file - CSV file) , you need not know the number of columns as you can loop thru the input record till the last column is read.
All you have to do is to look for the 'n' occurances of the field delimiter say ',', do a substr from the current position to the point where the ',' was found.
This process is to be repeated in a loop till all columns are read.
The TEXT_IO package can trap for EOF (End Of File).
Hope I made myself clear.

I keep getting error message saying organizer unexpectedly quit, do you want to reopen. When I click on it to reopen it doesn't and I get the same message again. I rebooted computer, still did it, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I am still getting the same error message. This is on Mac OS with yosemite. Any Ideas Please!!!
