I'm asuming you are using iTunes then to sync? this can be done over WiFi or the USB cable.
Review your setting for the calendar sync once iTunes is open and your iPhone is connected. Make sure your Calendars are selected to sync that you need. By default all calendars will.
So the option i have for you is to reset the sync service and this will reset those settings in iTunes. Meaning that you will have to switch them on again in iTunes to sync. But this mostly clears unresolved sync issues.
Please do yourself a favour and hit backup in iTunes before doing any testing. iTunes will then keep a local backup of your iPhone in case of any data loss.

open Terminal from your Utilities folder and paste this command in to reset. OS X 10.6 - 10.8
/System/Library/Frameworks/SyncServices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/resetsync .pl full [press Enter]
if it prompts for a password, just type your password and hit [Enter] again.
Open iTunes then set your syncs up and it should then carry on again.

Some older addresses that sync from Outlook no longer showup on my ipad and iphone. Data is in Outlook and in Icloud contacts. Any suggestions? Some of the newer addresses seem to sync but the older ones (family) addresses are not. The data is showing up in Outlook and in icloud but doesn't show up in my contacts after a sync.

I have backed up my old one but i am stck after that.Back up your old phone, then erase the new one and restore it to the backup of your old one. The process is faster if you back up using iTunes. Sync your old phone with iTunes to create a new backup (if you are backing up to iCloud you can still do this manually by right-clicking on the name of your phone on the left side of iTunes and selecting Back Up). Then on the new one and go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content & Settings. This will erase the phone. You will then go through the setup screens on the new phone and when given the option choose Restore from iTunes Backup (see image below). Connect it to iTunes and restore to the backup of your old phone. This process is explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109. After doing this you will need to sync your phone with iTunes to transfer your apps, music and other iTunes media from your old one to your new one. You may need to contact your carrier to transfer your service to the new phone.

Then I'd check the system drive, if it has problems.

Restart your Mac and hold down the Command key and the R key (Command-R), and keep holding them until the Apple icon appears, indicating that your Mac is starting up.
You will see a panel, where you can use Disk Utility to check your System Drive. -

ICal: How do I get iCal to sync with a shared calendar?
I am working in a small business who are running a Microsoft Exchange Server. All users are using Microsoft Outlook for e-mails and calendars. I want to get iCal on my mac to sync with the shared calendar on the Exchange server which is published in the 'public folders'. Can anyone shed any light on this matter? Does iCal do this?
In short: No it doesn't.
There's a third party 'solution' out there: Groupcal by Snerdware. However, since OS10.4 it's nothing but trouble with that program. They've recently released version 3.0, which is supposed to fix things, yet for me (and a couple of other users, according to for instance versiontracker) matters only got worse. I'd say: give the trialversion a go and see if it works for you. But be prepared for trouble with future OS updates etcetera. Also their support only returns emails with very short and cryptic answers, if at all.
The alternative of course is using Microsoft Entourage instead of iCal. -

This is occurring on the website Virgin Mobile. I was asked to perform some upgrades on my computer and now I am unable to get the content of my call history to display on a screen within this website. The 2nd window will display quickly and then shrink down before showing the call history content.

You can't use a gray-faced OS X disk from, for example, an iMac or MacBook Pro, to install on your MacBook.
Was it originally delivered with an OS X level that is greater than what you're trying to install? You can't install an earlier level than what came with the system.
Did you boot to the DVD, and use Disk Utility to create one disk partition, then reboot and try to install? -
My volume controls work and getting sound for music but not for game apps. I did check settings and sound is turned on under notifications and in the app. Any help would be appreciated
Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off').
