How do I get my itunes account to let me download apps without making an error pop up saying to review my account information?
My itunes account won't let me download any apps because it says my account hasn't been set up with itunes. When I sign in and go through the payment set up it still won't let me download any apps and puts me through the same process all over again. Any tips?? It's driving me crazy!
I gave in and am now using IMAP but I still find the behaviour a bit wierd...

Yeah, so I just had to reset my iTunes password, and iTunes is new because I just got a new computer. Everytime I try to sign in on iTunes, it has an error message that says I need to review my account.. I didn't get any e-mails with a link on how to do that, so I was wondering if anyone knew how...?

How to manage a childs Ipod touch but still let them download apps without
I have a son and daughter that are getting a ipod touch tomorrow or Friday depending when I get all the controls set in place so I have a few questions and if I post in the wrong forum then mods please move them to the proper forums if necessary. I am new to the forums and this will be my first post. Here we go.
My Kids and I have always shared our music on our previous ipods which weren't touch ipods so we need to be able to share the music but I need to figure out a way they can share the music and still be able to download free applications and games and some paid stuff as well with their own Itunes money but I need to do all this without compromising my itunes password which will be needed to download the content from what I've seen by playing with the ipod touches they will get while I've been setting them up.
Is this possible for them to share music but have their own application account or can I give them child accounts kind of like the xbox live where I can control them from downloading unless they have me present ?
I do have one child that lives with her mom in the next town over and this is going to be a problem as we move forward because she will want access to the music as we move forward but its my understanding if we have the same account we sync off of that we can share apps as well , is this true or not ?
If we keep my daughter on my account is there a way that she can share the music and have it on her computer at home without compromising my itunes cash loaded onto my account or my credit card info as well ?
There are so many avenues and possibilities that it's hard to kind of network all these ideas into reality so thats why I turned to the forums where the power users are.

you can handle the app installation on each device by using the Restriction settings of the ipod touch. For example if you disable the app installation, the icon will not be visible and no apps can be installed using iTunes, as the program pane will be grayed out as well.

You can set up each device differently on one computer and iTunes will remember the settings.
Apps only work with the account you used buying them and can't be shared.

How do I get ios5 devices to sync their directly downloaded apps with iTunes ?
I have an iMac /Lion, iPhone and iPad, previously on MobileMe and an iPod touch, never connected to mobile me. I have transferred MobileMe to iCloud.
I have found that programs, downloaded directly to my iPad, will download to my iPhone(directly), but not the iPod.
When connecting directly to my iMac, to sync, I get the message : -
Some of the purchased items on the iPhone/iPad “…[name]..” could not be transferred to your library, because you are not authorised for them on this computer. Interestingly it shows the icons on the iPhone display on the iTunes display.
Transferring the other way is okay.
I suspect that this is due to confusion of the two passwords (MobileMe and apple id).

How do I get my iTunes album purchase to finish downloading?
My challenge is much the same as Greg's dilemma. I've never had a problem before either. In the middle of the album, it began the next song (#14), then stopped a third of the way in and would not continue the download. I've tried all the suggestions that iTunes offers for the continuance of downloading the rest of the 14 songs of a 28 song album. Help!

10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) is an upgrade from Leopard, which you apparently have (10.5.8).
iTunes 11 requires 10.6.8 (not 10.8.6 as you have typed). If your Mac is an Intel one with at least 1Gb of RAM then you can buy Snow Leopard in the online Apple Store (type 'Snow Leopard' in the search box rather than browsing for it).
Once installed, download the combo updater to bring it up to 10.6.8:

You will then be able to install iTunes 11. However if your Mac has a PPC processor you cannot install Snow Leopard and will be unable to proceed. To check this, choose 'About This Mac' from the Apple menu and look where it says 'Processor' - it needs to say 'Intel' for you to be able to upgrade. -
So I have a lot of spoken-word MP3 files on my MacBook that are both too large and too low a bitrate for iTunes Match. Since I use iCloud to backup my phone, I don't manually sync my phone with my MacBook anymore.

Turn match back on so you can use it like you normally would for all your match able music. iTunes works the same way now with match and your music like it does for iCloud and your contacts and calendars. In order to prevent duplication, you can't sync with a cloud service and manually on a computer the same information, unless you temporarily disable the cloud-type service - in your case iTunes match

My iTunes downloads were made using my old gmail address. I had to quit using this address as it got hacked. How do I get my iTunes downloads into my new iTunes account that was created with a new gmail address? In my old iTunes account (with the old gmail address, I can't 'update' my email address or even 'add an alternate address' as I had already created this gmail account and inputting the new address into iTunes gives me the 'pop-up' that 'this account is already in use.' Advice please!
Good luck. It took me weeks to fix this when I had to do it. Your old ID branches out in lots of places. You may have to delete app and get them again, at least that is what Apple told me. Plus, all of your settings on your iPad that required any ID, will have to be changed. My old ID kept showing up in different places for weeks. Changing it on Apple.com is just the beginning.

I traded iPads with my daughter. How do I get my iTunes account on this one? When I try to update it wants her iTunes information.
You can tap on the account in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores if it's on iOS 6) and log out of it and then log in with yours. But if any of the apps that are currently on the iPad were downloaded by her account then only her account will be able to download updates to those apps - content from the store is tied to the account that downloaded it, not to the account that is currently logged in.

I used migration to transfer iTunes from pc to mac book. It had me set up another user account. Now i have 2 user accounts and i have the iTunes on the wrong one. How do i get the iTunes on the original account.
In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account. The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

They can't. Which came first - the chicken or the egg? Actually, that's a bad comparison but a sync must come first.
The library is actually part of iTunes and it contains everything. iTunes is then configured so that you (or they) determine which portion of everything will be synced to each iPod (identified by a unique name, see below for an example of an iPod and an iPad). iTunes can't make that decision until AFTER it knows which iPods exist.
By the way, I (you, they) can very easily change the name of each device to whatever I (you, they) wish to call it. -
How do I get my itunes to recognize my account, it seems to be stuck on my friend account even when my ID show up as sign in, only when I try to update an App, that my friend account appear. I try to reset it on the computer and the phone itself, but no luck. Please advise

The Touch Copy third party software for PC's is the way to go it seems and although the demo is free, if you have over 100 songs then it costs £15 to buy the software which seems not a lot to pay for peace of mind. and restoring your iTunes library back to how it was.
