How do i get rid of voiceover on my ipod nano? i am stuck on the 'playing album' screen and cant even change the playlist.
I accidentally got my ipod stuck on voiceover and i can't get it off. The usual 'slide to left to go back' no longer applies and i am stuck on a dreadful playlist! in my instruction book it says 'flick to slide screen', what is this supposed to mean? I would be grateful for any help as my ipod is only a year old...
Connect to iTunes. On summary screen for ipod, hit the "Configure Universal Access" button. Make sure none of the checkboxes are checked in the dialog box that comes up. Click apply, then sync and voiceover should be off.

From what you're describing appears to be Activation Lock, a security measure provided by Apple that makes it harder for people to use a lost or stolen device. You will need to enter the password for the Apple ID the device is prompting you for.

iPod nano 3rd gen. Apple logo remains on screen and iTunes doesn't recognise it's plugged in, I can't even turn it off. I've tried to get to disc menu but when I hold the 'menu and select button' it reboots and then doesn't recognise the select and play button to show the tick. I'm helpless.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I keep getting a message on my Mac saying:
Shockwave Player Error
To view the movie, open your browser in the 32-bit mode.
1) In Safari, select applications/safari in the Finder and click more info
2) Ensure that Open in 32-bit mode is selected
3) Re-launch the browser.
I did this, and selected the open in 32-bit mode but it's still giving me this message.
Interestingly, it does this every time I reset my Safari (which I do upon closing Safari), UNLESS I unclick the "Remove all website data" item box - then I don't get this weird shockwave player error message.
I would like to know either how to get rid of the error message (stop it from popping up) or how to download/install shockwave in case I need it.I am having this issue whenever I go to Safari privacy preferences tab it pops up this same error window repeatedly, over and over, even if I don't acknowledge the first one... it just keeps adding the error window one on top of the other. (a little offset like opening multiple browser windows).
If I switch to a different application it may even keep popping them up keeping them on top all the time.
I navigated to Library/Internet Plug-ins and there was nothing in it. -
Everytime I go into mission control I see blank pdf windows. I can't get rid of them except when I restart my computer. Otherwise I have to put them all into 1 desktop in mission control so they don't clutter my other desktops. The windows only appear in mission control and not in the actual active desktop. I've tried closing any open application that uses pdfs but that doesn't help. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

I came to the problem this morning with a fresh perspective and have solved the problem: I realized the text was in Cambria, so I changed it to the dependable Times New Roman. I created the PDF and NO pound signs appeared scattered around in the PDF.

I need it off and back to factory settings. Please help.Connect the iOS device to your computer and then restore restore to facriry setings/new iPod (not from backup) via iTunes. The iOS device will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Guys! I'm new to OS X and not used to it so I tried installing Windows 7 having the thought that it's as easy as on ordinary laptops. Installation was succesfull, Installed it by first going to a "boot utility like" screen while it's still on OS X, Deleted all those partitions, Placed a Windows 7 disc in the disc drive and on the Windows installation menu I also deleted the partiotions I saw. After all that my MacBook successfuly is running Windows 7 but problems appeared like no backlight on the keyboard, Trackpad is no longger functioning well and the audio jack has this f*cking red light. :'( I admit this is all my fault and I really need to find a solution to get it running on OS X again. Please help!!! Sorry for my bad english... And also, While booting up, There is no more Apple logo but a silver screen then Windows...
A partition is just a section of the disk set aside for a particular purpose. In this case, we're talking about a Mac partition and a Windows partition. They have different formats, which is how the data is stored. The disks that came with your Mac will create the Mac partition when you install, but most likely you'll lose the Windows partition. You've got kind of a mess at this point. What you should do is install the Mac OS and get everything as you want it. Then run Bootcamp to create a Windows partition and let Bootcamp do the Windows installation for you. Grant gave you good advice earlier. Don't let Windows do any partitioning. That's how you got into this mess.

I've had the Ipod for a while (by 4th generation, I figured you could tell), and I just want to get the pictures off of it so I have more space for music. I can't figure out how to do so, so any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have photos on your iPod nano that you would like to remove. These pictures would have had to have been synced over through iTunes from a folder on your computer. This article outlines how to sync photos to your device, but you can also use it to disable photo syncing and remove them as well:

I have a MacMini connected to my HDTV; Whenever I am playing music from my MacBook Pro music library (via Homesharing through the TV) and airport express I get a one second delay on the airport speakers. Is there a way to avoid this?
Not unless your sound system has a delay setting. Some do, to compensate for TV (for example) which can be slow at processing sound.

I recently updated my Firefox browser to version 26.0 and my Java to version 7 update 51 and now I can't access any of the Yahoo games I have played for years. I get a box that says "your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running. Also, the box has two other lines; Name: ygames_applet and Location: http://yog10.games.sp2.yahoo.com. After all this time, this browser and my Chrome browser both give me this crap when I try to log in to yahoo games.

Correct. Everything is already lost if it's in recovery mode. You can restore a backup after restoring the phone.
