How do I hide the blank week between months on the iOS calendar app?

I keep double booking appointments near the end of each month because it appears (at a glance) that next week is open and available. How can I get the app to hide (not show) a blank week between each month? Thank you.

Are you still using IOS 5 ? If so you could upgrade to IOS 7, it doesn't have blank weeks.

Unfortunately not - they don' t make it in to the DB or any other central repository.
It would be possible to write a Windows or Powershell script to collect the files and place them on a central file share and then do with them as you wish, but this would be up to you to design and implement.

How to set up iOS calendar app with shared Google Calendar data

At work (in our small office) I've been given access to the shared Google Calendar that has our work schedule. It was set up using this page (click on Share an existing calendar):

The question I have is how to set it up to work with iOS calendar app on my iPhone?

Well, not really. You hinted at it with: "set up a group wiki."
Go into Workgroup Manager and set up an Open Directory group. Add people to it.
Each client must then go into iCal --> Preferences --> Accounts and add an account. The name and password entered must be the same as that added to the group, Kerberos must be unchecked, and the account URL will be like (fill in the blanks properly):
http://<your domain name here>:8008/principals/groups/<your group name here>/
Now each properly logged in user of that group can make changes to the shared group calendar, without any "hacks" like making dummy users and delegation.
However, I am getting a notifier: "Request Error: Accesss to <event name> in <your group name here> in account <your group name here> is not permitted." But that seems to be a lie, since multiple members of the group can make changes and others can see the changes.
Oh yea, make sure you have a functioning DNS with valid reverse lookup.

How do I clear the blank space between content and footer?

In the process of revising a Muse website, I deleted some content from one of the pages and revised the content that remained on the page. Now I have a blank area between the bottom of the revised content and the top of the footer, and I can't seem to get rid of the blank space. It doesn't appear that there are any text blocks or other images in that area, so I can't find any objects to delete. Help?
The website is currently published in a draft mode for client review. You can examine it at: http://page7creative.com/clients/coremove_jun2012draft/retreats.html. The page in question is the Retreats page. Restarting Muse made no difference. I work on the Mac platform.
Before I sent this post, I decided to try creating a new page, then copy/paste the content onto the new page, and save the Muse site under a different name. Lo and behold, the page (and the site) works like it should...without any extra space above the footer on that page. It would appear that something went astray when I deleted content on that page. I can use the new page to get the site working properly, but decided to go ahead and send this post so that you can look at the page code and perhaps see what is wrong that is causing the blank space...in case I ever run into this again.

There is a graphic at the bottom of the content area of the Retreats page that's been cropped to a size of zero width and 2 pixels in width.
Unfortunately, there's a bug with pointer tool drag selection (aka marque selection) that prevents it from selecting an item that has zero width or zero height. Therefore the easiest way to select this item to delete it is to select any other item on the page, then hit the tab key repeatedly to cycle through every item on the page. When you get to this item you should see a little pile of selection handles at the left edge of the third column and right at the bottom of the content area. The width and height will display as zero and 2. Delete this item and the page will resize to fit the remaining content.

I realize how many times I used the word 'pages' in the question, I was unable to think of a less confusing way to word it. :)
I am using an iPad with Pages loaded on it. All software is up-to-date. I have downloaded a few templates apps to use with it. I have figured out how to add a blank page to the end of the document (by hitting enter at the base of the previous page before it). However, I would like advice or assistance adding a blank page between two existing pages. The other "trick/work around" is not effective. I'd even appreciate learning how to change the order of the pages so I may place the blank sheet where I need it.

Position the cursor where desired by touching the screen. In the selection bubble that appears, i.e., Select, Select All, Paste, Insert, choose Insert and from the insert menu choose Page Break. Two Page breaks will produce a blank page.

10133 ADF LOV: how to get rid of the blank item on top of the list

I have a fixed list LOV. Because I do not want the user to pick a null value from the list, I picked "selection required" when I created the LOV. when the page has the LOV first loaded, the dropdownlist still has the blank item on the top. If I pick a value and execute, the page is reloaded. Now I access the LOV, it does not show the blank item anymore. How can I get rid of the blank item when the LOV is loaded the first time? Thanks.

I Annie, a workaround is to based your LOV values on a read-only VO or a POJO. Even if your intentions is to avoid to go all the way to the back end.
Or you can add a "Select One" in the List so your users are aware they need to choose something.
I tested your case in 10g and 11g and both present the same behavior. I'm opening a bug for 11g. the weird part is that in 10g if you select the include blank item option, actually it adds a double blank space on first load.
I will update the forum when I get news about it.

How do I hide a document's file path in the book panel?

For reasons I don't understand, FM sometimes displays the complete filepath to a document or book, and sometimes it doesn't. How can I keep FM from displaying it?

Thanks very much for this answer. It doesn't really solve my problem but it made me realize I have a much bigger problem to deal with. To make a long story short, I've been working with the book and document files that are stored in an old directory, which I did not expect. I simply want to move the book file and document files to the same new directory, and have FM handle these files and no others.
I thought I had already done that, in this way:
I moved the all the files into the new directory via drag-and drop (in Explorer). I then double-clicked on the book file in the new directory. I opened the chapter, IX, and TOC files by double-clicking on them in the FM book window.
I then did a "Save Book." I assumed that saving the book file would save it, and all document files in that new directory. (Remember, all the files had already been moved to the new directory, and I explicitly chose the book file from that directory.)
So all my files are up-to-date -- they're just in the wrong place except for the book file itself.
How can I get them to the right place?
I can't move the chapter files to the new directory "manualIy" and expect FM to find the right ones automatically when you open the book file.
I can't do an FM "Save as" for .fm files because the Files menu doesn't offer that option for files.
I can't move the files to the new directory and open them explicitly via double-click because when I do this, FM still fetches the files from the old directory!

How do I share photos in iPhoto between users on the same mac

When one user account on my iMac takes photos with their iPhone they download to their iPhoto. I want them to be added to my iPhoto user account also and vice versa.

An iPhone can only stream one "my Photo Stream", and this is bound to one iCloud account, the account that is used for the iPhone.
If you want to stream automatically from one iPhone to several persons using "My Photo Stream", all of you need to use the same Apple ID and the same iPhoto library, because My Photo Stream can only be tied to one library at a time.
With separate iPhoto libraries and IDs use shared photo streams, if your mac supports them, see:

How to calculate this column (Last Week of month)?

I have a request where it shows some calculations month wise
ex. This report is for Dec-2010

I am trying to calculate the Last Week Declined Rate column. The logic is just not coming to my mind.

Let's see. Running this report anytime after the previous month has closed...
1) TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, (DayOfMonth(CURRENT_DATE))*-1, CURRENT_DATE) will give you the last day of the previous month...
2) TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,DAYOFWEEK(TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, (DayOfMonth(CURRENT_DATE))*-1, CURRENT_DATE))*-1,TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, (DayOfMonth(CURRENT_DATE))*-1, CURRENT_DATE)) will give you the Saturday prior to the last week of the month.
3) TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,1,TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,DAYOFWEEK(TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, (DayOfMonth(CURRENT_DATE))*-1, CURRENT_DATE))*-1,TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, (DayOfMonth(CURRENT_DATE))*-1, CURRENT_DATE))) will give you the Sunday of the last week of the previous month.
Now that you have the beginning of the last day of the previous week, you can build your filter... It will be "between 3) and 1)" above...

The daily, weekly, and monthly maintanence scripts

I have a power mac G4 Digital Audio at 733mhz, my question is why am I not seeing the automatic maintanence scripts coming on at 3am in the morning? I am usually up on my computer at those times, but still have yet to see the system go into automatic maintanence scripts at that time of the morning? Is there something wrong with my configuration file for the scripts, or is there something I need to do in order for it to work?

Just a quick check: have you looked in /var/log/daily.out to see if the daily jobs are outputting anything to the logs, or maybe that's what you're talking about? Nothing logged?
Um, if there's nothing in the log, then you may have a /etc/daily.local file overriding the default script in /etc/periodic/daily in someway. A quick check of /etc/periodic/daily/500.daily may prove helpful. It should be doing all it's normal log rotations and jazz... If the file looks normal (not corrupted or just blank say) maybe try putting a little command to write something to /var/log/daily.out to tell yourself it's working like (you'll need to sudo this):
echo "this is daily.out working like a champ"
or whatever. Same thing for the weekly and monthly scripts...
If you've done all this already and haven't looked yet, check out the manual pages for periodic, periodic.conf, cron, crontab, and so forth...maybe there's some goofy setting hosing things somewhere.

Sync data between third-party contacts and calendar apps, and the native apps, in 10.9.3+?

I've had to refrain from updating my Mac Pro from 10.8.5 to 10.9 owing to the removal of SyncServices. I then read that SyncServices was re-introduced on a limited basis in 10.9.3.
It seems unlikely, but I'd like to know whether or not SyncServices in 10.9.3 re-enables the syncing of data between third-party contacts & calendar apps and the native apps, and thereby enables syncing of contacts and calendar info between third-party apps and iOS devices over USB via iTunes. This is the method I use exclusively by choice in 10.8.5, and I will not change it to a cloud-based solution under any circumstances.
If it is not possible, is there a third-party workaround? My calendar app on the Mac Pro at the moment is BusyCal, syncing with Week Cal on the iPhone, but I'll happily buy a new combo of apps if it means I can upgrade to Mavericks and retain USB syncing.
EDIT: a solution which permits syncing of a third-party calendar app on the Mac Pro with a third-party calendar app on the iPhone over an ad-hoc wireless network would also be acceptable, I suppose.

You've got to give us something to go on here. At least post a screen shot so we can see how your data is arranged. I suspect that you may have named the months with text strings rather than as actual Date values, so when you sort they are in alphabetical order rather than date order.

Is the only diff between ATV2 & ATV3 the 1080p?

I upgraded my ATV2 last night to the new UI. Is the only difference between the 2 and the new 3 that the 3 supports 1080p? From what I understand there aren't any other differences?

I want to know what is the actually technical reason why ATV2 can't display 1080p. It's a streaming device that has all the same hardware components, at least we think. The ATV2 is capable of installing the new UI, so it isn't the UI that would limit it. It's not going to be the HDMI port. The only reason why ATV2 couldn't display 1080p before was b/c Apple didn't import 1080p content into iTunes until today.
Can someone please tell me why ATV2 can't display 1080p content if I download it from iTunes?
