How do I perform an export with DataPump on commandline ?

According to page
http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/10gr2_db_vmware/manage/datapump/datapump.htm#t1tt
I tried in SQLplus to export all the stuff from table CTEST to a local file
D:\mydata\tabledata.txt by entering the following command:
expdp "D:\mydata" TABLES=CTEST DUMPFILE=tabledata.txt
but I got as answer:
SP2-0734: unknown command beginning "expdp D:\m..."
Why ?
How can dump a table into a textfile otherwise ?

Perhaps your (10g) oracle binaries location is not in your PATH?
Perhaps you are actually executing against a 9i or earlier database release?
perhaps you have quotes where they do not belong -- why "D:\mydata" It appears as if your login credentials are not correct?

How to distinguish between the dmp file export from the data pump utility and the export utility in Oracle 10g and 11g .

Like Werner suggested, it's never hurt to try anyway.
use imp with SHOW=Y, if it works then Original otherwise Data pump.
Once you determined one file, there's good chance that the rest are same. I don't think previous DBA will go through the trouble by mixing data pump and traditional exp/imp.

Estimate size of export with datapump

Hi,
When i run an expdp with estimate_only=TRUE, the estimate give me 383M.
When i run expdp the sum of the files generated are not equal to 383M but 143.64M.

How to use's mail's "perform mail action with message"

I can't for the life of me figure out how to use "perform mail action with message", I basically want to create a script that get's used on a rule from Mail, but nothing I try will work.
This is what I started with...

This is one of those annoying things about programming - you have to arrange and spell things exactly right (this gets worse if you have fat fingers). You can look at the dictionary for Mail to see the specifics - in your example you are missing an "s" at the end of the word "message":

I want to perform an export in oracle8 on windows

i have a problem bringing up oracle8 on Windows XP
it is able to start to a certain point that is. it mounts but does not open
when it is trying to open i get the error ORA-00314
after database mounted. then error below follows
ORA-00314: Log 3 of thread 1, expected sequence# 384 doesn't match 381
ORA-00312: online log 3 thread 1: 'C:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ORA8\REDO01.log'
there is no back up any where.
how can i perform an export when database is not opened
please help me solve this problem

AFAIK, you cannot perform an export of a database that you cannot open. Pl post details of exact OS and database versions, along with the complete error messages from the alert log. Pl see if these MOS Docs can help
OERR: ORA 314 log of thread , expected sequence # does not (Doc ID 18373.1)
REDO or ARCHIVE Logfile Numbers Out Of Sync ORA-312 ORA-314 (Doc ID 1108550.1)
Pl also indicate what was done (previous to this error being encountered) that may have caused this error.

How do I stop Illustrator automatically adding numbers to file name when exporting with artboard?

I need to export with artboard. Illustrator automatically adds a number to my original file name. It won't even let me replace the old file. It is extremely annoying and makes flow with other programs really hard because they can't auto update, since the file name changes. When you have multiple files, you can't be manually renaming all the time. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks.

What is it EXACTLY you are trying to do. Are you trying to export a single page from filename.ai and make it filename.psd, (without any number afterwards). In that case you could delete the extra artboards prior to export, and then you won't have to checked use artbaords as there is only one page. Otherwise I would plan ahead so your end result will be filename-01.jpg, filename-02.jpg, and then everytime you use export artbaords those names will replace.
I am happy with the function as is, and would prefer to have a serial number automatically after the name when checking use artboards. But sounds liek you and others desire more options and thte ability to turn off adding to the filename.

The aspect ratio should be set to 200x280, or equivalently 5x7.
I don't think it is possible to do the cropping automatically in Lightroom, you'd have to do this image by image to crop the faces correctly.

I have to perform an OS/DB Migration of a SAP XI 3.0 (WAS640-SR1), an ABAP + JAVA addin configuration.
I would like to know if SAPinst for WAS640 (and SR1) could perform an export for both ABAP & JAVA in one shot as it seems possible in NW7.0 SAPinst version. None of the WAS 640 OS/DB migration guides gives these possibility.
And if not not, could U confirm that I have to perform 1st an export (with R3LOAD) of ABAB stack, then an export (with JLOAD) of the JAVA one ?
And apply the same way for installation with R3load and JLOAD downloaded files ?

No, both exports cannot be executed in one single step. You have to execute the procedure twice, once for ABAP and once for Java, like you already mentioned yourself..

Any ways i have purchased a 1tb usb HDD and have managed to duplicate the dmg file onto it. however still unable to mount the **** thing. so now i have ordered disk warrior which will be in my possession tomorrow.

Many of the folks that typically respond to these questions do not have direct experience with tomcat and Berkeley DB. It would be great if folks from the user community would chime in here and share their experiences and performance.
We do know that some/many folks use Berkeley DB with Tomcat so hopefully folks will respond.
