How do I provide feedback to Adobe?  Is anyone listening?

Periodically I find situations in using Adobe products where I can't imagine why the product or service is set up or operates in a particular way.  When I go to Adobe web site there is no avenue for feedback.  I wonder, does Adobe make it difficult to give feedback because it doesn't want to hear from a very loyal customer?
Today, for example, I got a message to update Adobe Acrobat Reader.  This sent all kinds of beware signals in my mind because of past experiences. (see explanation below)  So I decided to give feedback using a feedback button on the updater.  The feedback assumed I was already done the update because it asked me to give a general impression of my experience.  So I stopped there and proceeded first with the update.  However after I finished the update, the feedback button had disappeared.  Why?  Because the last step in the updating process was to reboot.  Once I rebooted, I could not find a feeback mechanism anywhere in the Adobe web pages.
So here's my feedback on this particular experience.
1.  Make a feedback mechansim appear after bootup in a manner similar to the message asking me to update.
2.  And now to the feedback I wanted to send Adobe.  Stop 3rd party companies from sending "update" messages for Adobe Acrobat.
Explanation:  Although it hasn't happened recently, in the last few years I have received multiple times an Adobe update message that I'm now guessing came from Google instead of Adobe.  I think it came from Google because I kept receiving the message even after the update was completed.  More important, after the update I discovered that Google Chrome was installed.  I really don't like Chrome.  It messes with and controls a lot of things on my computer that I don't want to have happen.  For example, after discovering Google Chrome on my computer I uninstalled it. But then I found the attachments and forwards people sent me in e-mails no longer would open when I clicked on the web page addresses in the e-mail.  All I got were blank pages with some kind of "sorry" message.  So I searched the Internet for about an hour and eventually found one helpful soul who explained how to unscramble the Google Chrome uninstall problem.  Get this, first I had to install Foxfire and then make it, not Internet Explorer, be primary.  Later on in the process, I was able to switch back to Internet Explorer as primary. There was a lot more involved but the outcome was successful.  My conclusion, two hours of wasted time after updating a product from a company I totally respect, Adobe Reader.
Please tell Adobe to stop letting third party companies use it's updating mechanisms.  Not knowing for sure if the update is coming from Adobe or from some other company is real incentive to ignore update messages, which in turn means the product in question becomes less and less effective.
Thanks for listening.

Pat,
Thank you for your time and your thoughts about my experience being spam related.  I agree with that as a possibility, but read on.
Maybe my use of the word "message" was misleading.  In my entry above I was referring to a pop-up message for updates that happens at the end of boot up process.  I've always regarded those updates were linked to software installed on the computer and therefore trustworhty, especially when the company logo was included.  I'm a bit more cautious since the Google Chrome incident, but still find it difficult to be totally certain about the origin of the update.
In the subsequent updates for Adobe Acrobat, after the Google Chrome incident, I discovered a small checked box on the lower left hand corner of the update page.  And beside the box in very small print was "install Google Chrome".  I can only guess who was behind that connection, but I never imagined it was from anyone other than Adobe or Google, since those were the only programs that appeared to be related to the "message".
I'm not trying to make a case against Adobe, far from it, other than to give them feedback for what its worth that somehow their product is being combined with another company during updates on my computer.  The computer in question is dedicated almost exclusively for Adobe products including Creative Suite Master Collection which I use in my photography business.  My intention are to keep all images and videos relatively secure by minimizing the risk of things that you explain can happen, so there is no e-mail correspondece or Internet searches other than to Adobe company sites.  So, updates are about the only outside connection I have with that computer.
Thanks again.

  • How do you submit feedback on Adobe Reader?

As I recall, it used to be (at least through version 9) possible to send Adobe feedback and suggestions on Reader from the Reader help menu. That options seems not to be available in version XI, and I haven't found any forum or contact information that would allow you to submit feedback. Have I missed it, or is Adobe no longer interested in receiving feedback?
My specific feedback, should anyone from Adobe be monitoring this forum, is that it was a whole lot easier to customize the toolbars when  you could right click on them and get a dialogue box that allowed you to select or deselect toolbar buttons in one fell swoop. The current system of having to repeatedly access the View\Show/Hide Toolbar Items . . . is needlessly tedious and time consuming. Adobe should go back to the old single dialogue box system.
If there is indeed a webpage or forum for suggestions and comments, I'd appreciate it if someone would direct me to it.
    Thank you,
    Terry

I always google for "adobe wish form", which will return https://www.adobe.com/go/wish/ which in turn redirects to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

  • How can I provide feedback if I don't want to reinstall FF7, which I found to be buggy?

I like to leave the sfgate.com news site open all the time because that page refreshes automatically. But FF 7 would periodically "freeze" during a refresh and I would have to Force Quit the browser.
Also, I reinstalled all my Add-ONs one night, and the next morning, none of them were working, although the manager said they were all enabled. And there was nothing on mozilla.com that helped. So I went back to 3.6.
I think the rapid release model is a bad idea. Until a release is fully de-bugged, I'd rather have the option to go back to any previous release that I was happy with. Now I'm stuck on 3.6.
It's the kind of thing that makes me consider using another browser.

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that you are having a problem trying to register your postal code.
I've checked HP ePrintCenter web site, the HP Connected website, and the product registration website and none of them ask for a postal code or a zip code.  To better assist you, would you please let me know what you were trying to do when you were prompted for a postal code or zip code?
    Thank you.

  • Customer feedback to Adobe for improvements to PSE

What mechanisms exist for customers to provide feedback to Adobe regarding suggestions and requests for improvements to Photoshop Elements?  While I have been satisfied with the changes that have been made from PSE4 through PSE8, there are a number of changes I'd like to see in the next version to make it better suited to my needs - mostly in the Organizer, in regard to tags and captions.

Thanks for providing the link.  However, the page that is loaded into Internet Explorer 8 (running on a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop) locks up and refuses to even scroll. I have also noticed this phenomen when attempting to use the PSE 7 or 8 Help facility. While I accept the fact that PSE 7 & 8  weren't designed for this system, I don't understand how any webpage can lock up IE8.
Should I submit my suggestions for improvements to PSE8 on this Forum?

  • How can we provide suggestions/feedback to MS for improvements to the object model interfaces for Transport Agents?

Having worked on TA's for a while now we've found there are several things missing in the object model for our requirements. Consequently we have some horrible code that need to do some things directly either with MIME or TNEF - which is a crying
shame as MS must have all the code to do the things we need anyway, it's just that the object model is deficient.
It'd be useful if there were an Exchange category on MS Connect where we could submit our suggestions, but as far as I can see, there isn't one.
So, where do the Exchange TA developers get to hear customer feedback?

  • New document alert: How to get PDF documents into Adobe Reader for iOS

Opening PDF Files in Reader for iOS (iPhone and iPad) has been very helpful to many users of Adobe Reader for iOS.  However, Apple has drastically changed the user interface in iOS 7, which made the original document obsolete.
According to Apple Developer Support's App Store Distribution page, 89% of devices connected to the App Store are using iOS 7 during a 7‑day period ending June 29, 2014.
Because of the exceptionally high iOS 7 adoption rate, Adobe Reader for iOS version 11.3 now supports iOS 7 only.
Here are the new How-To documents for iOS 7.
How to get PDF documents into Adobe Reader for iOS (iPad on iOS 7 version)
How to get PDF documents into Adobe Reader for iOS (iPhone on iOS 7 version)
(It had to be split into two separate documents because each contains way too many screenshots.)
Hope these documents are as helpful as the original one.
Please let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions on the topics for other help documents/tutorials.

    Dennis (or any Adobe rep),
Any updates to the OP's question? I'm with a large government agency, and we're moving away from GoodReader for reasons I can't go into here, and the ability to add user-defined bookmarks within the app is a mandatory feature for the document reader we select. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader (11.6.1) installed on my government iPad, and the ability to add user-defined bookmarks still seems to be missing. Does Adobe have any plans to add this feature, or is it already present and I'm simply overlooking it?
    Thanks,
    Cam

  • How can I copy text in Adobe Digital Editions?

How can I copy text in Adobe Digital Editions for an eBook that I have purchased?

Adobe apps can be reset to their factory defaults by using Ctrl+Alt+Shift, not Del. The rest doesn't really make any sense since you did not provide any details and authorizations can't be changed that way, anyway. If you want to transfer books to other devices you need to contact the vendors to release the DRM/ provide a new download and if you want to change the registered ID, you need to contact support or create a completely new account, which in turn will require you to buy your DRM managed books again/ get a new download as well.

  • Realtime feedback in adobe interactive online forms

    Hi Experts,
is it possible to provide real time feedback in adobe livecycle designer through scripting? refer to the document in the link - guideline 8
    http://http://www.cxpartners.co.uk/thoughts/web_forms_design_guidelines_an_eyetracking_stu dy.htm
Also please provide me with best practices (based on experience) followed in the following cases
    1. Highlighting mandatory fields
    2. Real time highlighting of conditonally required fields (based on some user entries in the form fields)
    3. whether to go for two column alignment or 1 column - 1 column leads to lot of whitespaces in the form while 2 column layout makes things less readable
The link provided contains some general guidelines with web forms and nothing specific to adobe interactive.
    Thanks
    Rohit

    Hi,
    Yes is is very possible.
There are examples in the forum for highlighting fields.
John Brinkman's blog has example of validation and highlighting fields. http://blogs.adobe.com/formfeed/ (search validation).
Stefan Cameron has a great example at http://forms.stefcameron.com/2009/03/16/auto-identify-mandatory-fields/
Robert Barnett (passed away this year) has several free papers that are very useful. http://www.rbainformationdesign.com.au/free_papers.html
Caroline Jarrett and Gerry Gaffney's book "Forms that work" is very good. http://formsthatwork.com/ This book has nothing to do with LC Designer, but everything about user's experience with your form.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

How do I verifysites hosted on adobe business catalyst with google?

    Hey MARTI BETZ,
If you're referring to Google Webmaster Tools, as provided in the link below, there are multiple ways in order to verify your site. The easiest method would be to verify your site ownership by adding a DNS record. If you have redelegated your domain to use BC's nameservers, simply add the appropriate record via Site Settings > Site Domains.

  • How can I update the "basic" Adobe Flash Player that is in my Samsung Smart TV?

How can I update the "basic" Adobe Flash Player that is in my Samsung Smart TV?

Any update would come from Samsung, but in low-margin products like TVs, it's pretty uncommon for OEMs to provide ongoing maintenance over a large span of years.  You may find that you'll get a better experience from a dedicated streaming box like ChromeCast/Roku/etc.

  • Private feedback to Adobe

I notice it is very difficult to find a way to give feedback to Adobe on products, or offer helpful suggestions, in a confidential manner.
Some software publishers put a "Feedback" link under the Help tab of the products they sell.  I find this a great convenience, and companies often will greatly benefit as well.
There appears to be no published email addresses to communicate with officers of the company in private.  After much searching,  I have given up.
The problem with restricting users to only being able to post to Adobe forums is if the post concerns a problem with products or a shortcoming in what Adobe is doing for its users, it gets BROADCAST to the user base AND its competitors
Some marketing suggestions are best communicated privately, for obvious reasons.
How about opening up some communications channels other than very public ones?
Those private comments that are deemed useful for all users to see and perhaps comment upon can then moved to the appropriate forum.
