How do I reference a window in xcode?

Hello sorry for the basic question, but I have had no luck finding an answer online for the last hour.
I've created a new project and I am trying to set the background color of the main window. I read about the NSWindow class and that it has a setBackgroundColor method, however I have no idea how to reference the actual window to call that method on it.
All of the NSWindow example code go something like [myWindow setBackgroundColor...], however there is no explanation of how they actually set the var myWindow to the actual window. I tried just naming it in IB, but that didn't seem to have any effect. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Since you'll probably want a.controller anyway, I'd suggest making one now. Start by making a new class named AppController. The parent class will be NSWindowController. Add an instance variable to this class named window:
IBOutlet NSWindow *window;
Next drag a NSObject (blue cube) into the XIB window for MainMenu.xib. Set the class of this object to AppController in the Identity Inspector, then connect its window outlet to the window. You can make this object into the app delegate by connecting it to the delegate outlet of File's Owner.

Hi I have the requireemnt where based on some condition I am opening a JSP in a new window by calling
navigateToURL(myFormData, _MYWINDOW);
Calling this will open a new browser window. My requirement is when the new window if minimized or behind other windows, how can I bring this window(MYWINDOW) infront of all the windows using JavaScript in Flex.
In which file under html-template do I have to write my JavaScript function.
Any help on how to call JS from Flex and handling in JS is very much appreciated.

you can add your JS directly to the index.template file or create a separate JS file and add the link

Reference draft window in Mail?

This must be the dumbest question in the world, but how do you reference a new message window in Mail? It's easy enough to select messages that have been received or saved somewhere, but if I just create a new message and then try to run a script on it, I don't know how to reference it. I can get it as "front window" but then I can't access any of the message properties. "outgoing message" doesn't work either.
Can anyone help a guy out?

Dynamically Create (and reference) Dialog Window Groups

I'm trying to setup a dialog window that can be easily added to via a CSV file. The only problem I've run into is; I'm not quite sure how to create the groups dynamically. Basically, the script setups up a bunch of texture features and then gives the option to save and/or strip that feature. Below is the basic idea of what I'm trying to do, but the groups are not able to be created in the way that they are shown:

If you change the g[z] to g1, it will create each field correctly (visually), but there is no way to properly reference the check boxes to see which are checked. Any ideas how, or even if, it is possible to dynamically create a different group for each line of the featArray? And if so, how to then reference the check boxes in those groups later on? All Photoshop versions through CS6 came with platform-specific licenses, either Windows or PC. You could get a cross-grade of platform swap at a nominal cost but not for older versions, only for whatever Photoshop versions was current at the time.
CS3 is totally out of the upgrade or cross-grade loop. You'd have to buy a new license for CS6 Mac or subscribe to Photoshop CC, as Trevor points out.
Curt Y is correct in that CS2 will not run on current Mac-Intel machines. You would need a used Mac G5 or G4 with a PowerPC (IBM) CPU, which have been obsolete since mid 2006.
Of course, you could run your Windows on your Mac if you installed and ran BootCamp or Parallells.

Main windows in page windows allow you to format text in multiple columns. Define an area in the page window, in which to position the main windows.
Here is the procedure !!
-->Create a page window and assign it to a page.
Choose Edit --> Main windows.
A dialog box appears.
-->Enter values in the fields Area width and Area height in accordance with the input guidelines for main windows.
-->Enter values in the fields Spacing and Number in the Horizontal group if you want to use multiple columns. You can ignore the fields in the Vertical group.
Determine how many columns and line areas are required for label printing. Then enter the corresponding values in the fields in the Horizontal and Vertical groups.
-->The value in the field Left margin varies from main window to main window if multiple columns are used. The following applies:

Left margin of current column + Window width + Horizontal spacing = Left margin of next column
In label printing, the field Upper margin also varies from main window to main window:

Upper margin of current main window + Window height + Vertical spacing = Upper margin of next main window
-->Enter a value in the field Start position.
This is a counter. Enter a starting value which is equal to or greater than 1.

I created a timer which detects inactivity in the first form launched by the forms runtime shortcut :

So how to make all the windows , whether it is the active window or it is hidden , to be titled 'Deconnected' when the timer expires ?

Did you mean change the Lync: Change the Default Font and Color of Instant Messages just as Edwin said above?
If not, as I know, there is no natural way to change it.
If yes, on the latest version of Lync 2013 client, there is a new option “IM” on Lync client “Options” list. And you need to change the default Font and Color of IM in the interface of “IM”.
